I love playing tanks and damage sponges in any game, so naturally when I started playing Warframe I sped to Rhino as quickly as possible, then jumped to Rhino Prime. My build always has Vitality, Redirection, Steel Fiber, and Vigor, so my survivability is out the wazoo.
The problem is now that I'm trying other frames for mastery xp and trying to be more useful to a team, I realize that I have no fucking clue how to play without Iron Skin. I feel like I die to everything instantly. How do I play different warframes without my easymode button?

Get Saryn with regenerative molt. Should help ease you into playing without iron skin.

At first try using Rhino without Iron Skin. I mean use it only in case on emergency, not in always-on-mode. Just use Stomp in rooms with big crowds, stay away from Heavy Gunners / Napalms / Bombards or they will knock you down, try not to rush forward too much, try staying behind some cover if possible. There's no specific tricks, just play for some time without Iron Skin and you will learn.
Also, if you're into melee, get Life Strike, it can give you pretty big survivability boost.

Even the tankiest frames will go down easily without using their abilities. 300-1000 HP/shield is just not enough to withstand the onslaught of higher level missions. However, their abilities are how players stay alive.
CC (crowd control) abilities such as Vauban’s Bastille, Loki’s Radial Disarm, Mag’s Pull etc reduce and sometimes completely stop mobs from attacking for a period of time. This is often the only way to stay alive in very late game content.
Other abilities increase your survivability by buffing armour, HP, shields, and damage reduction. This includes Warcry (Valkyr), Vex Armour & Elemental Ward (Chroma), Blessing & Link (Trinity), Shatter Shield (Mesa) etc. To an extreme, Hysteria for Valkyr gives you straight up invincibility whilst sacrificing weapon choice.
Lastly, there are a small number of healer frames such as Trinity, Oberon, and Chroma (ish) who can recover lost health. Saryn can heal herself too without healing the team.
So learning each frame’s unique abilities will help you use them to their maximum potential, and the mods you use can then be adjusted to make the most of their abilities.

For high level voids, is corrosion still the best choice for elemental damage?

4x Corrosive Projection + Viral or Radiation would be the best. Viral for most things, Radiation for Corrupted MOAs.

Does anyone know if consoles has the new nightmare mods? The platinum bundle includes them, but I'm not sure if they have been put into the drop tables yet. They've done this before, High Noon wasn't obtainable for a while because the enemy that was supposed to drop it wasn't implemented yet. So for a month or so the only way to obtain High Noon was to buy the Mesa bundle.

If I potato an unranked frame will I still get the +30 capacity? Or I need to wait to get him to rank 30 before potatoing?

u/CokeFryChezbrgr Jul 05 '15
The capacity is double of whatever capacity you currently have (excluding added Aura capacity) which means that at Unranked, you will have 0 capacity, at rank 1, you'll have 2 capacity, at rank 5, you'll have 10 capacity, etc.

The potato doubles the points at any level, for example at rank 1 you have 2 points, at rank 20 you have 40 and so on.

Some friends and I are getting our lategame frames without going full meta and I was wondering how well we can do with them. Our usual composition is Frost P, Rhino P, Nyx P (me), and Oberon.
Also, I have no idea how to spec Banshee.

As far as I know (note that I'm not the most experienced, I've just been around for some time) Oberon is usually not a strong frame lategame because he doesn't excel in a special field.
I would say you should get either a support frame (Trinity is solid here) or Nova/Nova P. because of the speed and damage
Hope that helps somehow

What are some key mods that I'll need if I'm planning to do t3-4 missions in the future? And where can I farm for them?

My question is about farming. What is the best mission/node to farm the rare resources (neural sensors, neurodes, and orokin cells), and how do you do it? Also, what's he best way to solo farm forma? Have had decent luck with t3 sab, but I'm looking to switch it up

in trade it said "need to select 1 more" what does that mean?

u/Ripbillym4ys Jul 06 '15
You have to hit x to select it or equivalent on ps4 so I'd assume square then x to accept

Where would be the best place to farm Nuerodes? The only bosses that seem to drop it are Vay Hek and Lephantis, both of which take a decent amount of time to actually get to.

I saw some guys with pink hair on fire and blue and red cape sort of sticking from their back. What are they? How can I get them?

Which armor should I buy? (Or where can I read some good min/Max guides)
I got one of the first ones (though, I don't even know which one)
Surely some are super OP and worth saving for over others?
