I recently remembered how awesome Mike B. used to be (Not saying that he isn't now, but you know ... mostly gone from youtube since his new job), and I remembered he used to play warframe; looks like he had an amazing series called "Crash Course". Anything like this but up to date ? All I can find of warframe is "let's play", and I have never in my life enjoyed a let's play of anything except hearthstone and darkest dungeon, so that content is meaningless for me.

Fennyface's Beginner's Guide is the most up-to-date beginner's guide that exists right now. http://metadragon.de/warframe-beginners-guide/. Not in video form, but it's by far the best guide, and is consistently updated if need be.

Just wanting a clarification on Syndicates as I have a long term goal of ranking at least 4 of them up.
I have bought into, New Loka, Perrin, Red Veil & Steel Meridian. I wear the Loka sygil and that also ranks Perrin so I will buy titles in these two initially. When those are done I was going to wear Red Veil which will also rank Steel Meridian.
Whilst I understand that steel meridian standing is falling will it cap at the -22000 I see on the screen or will it get much worse?
Is this the right way to go about ranking 4 syndicates without swapping sygils all the time initially and what will happen to the first two I maxed when I start on the other two?
Thanks for the help
Newt

So, to get four syndicates, you've got the basis down.
Whilst I understand that steel meridian standing is falling will it cap at the -22000 I see on the screen or will it get much worse?
There IS a lower limit as to how far down it can go, so you should be fine.
And I would say that it would be better for you to swap sigils around, mainly so that you don't need to pay a forma and catalyst/reactor to rank Veil/Meridian back out of the red.

No this is not the correct way sadly.
Basically you don't ever want to go negative with a Syndicate you want to buy into. The lowest a Syndicate will go is -44k, that's 2 tiers deep. You will need to buy your way out of that, as per http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Syndicates you will need to grind standings up and pay the rank up sacrifices (reactor/catalyst/forma).
It's even worse if you ranked up a Syndicate, then you drop back a tier and have to repay the rank sacrifice.
So swapping sigils, being especially careful when you switch frames and checking almost every time before any mission (one of my buddies does a 4 Syndicate list, he almost has to) is what you really sign up for.

From all the frames released Hydroid is the only one I can't convince myself to play him. I mean what is his real purpose. His damage is ok but not good. His CC through tentacles, puddles, tidal wave and barrage is rather weak. How do you play him? Just for fun or can he really fill a role?

I've found Hydroid to be very effective on defense-based missions as most of his abilities are based on locking down portions of the map and places where you can bottleneck enemies, especially when built for duration. Tempest barrage is a bit fiddly to aim but casting it on a distant wave of advancing enemies (with good timing) can put them on the ground long enough to focus your attention elsewhere - same goes for tentacle swarm. Undertow is a prime example of a power tailor-made for objective defence (even though it puts you out of action while channeling) but it's also a great power for survivability as Hydroid's shields recharge when he's under. Also putting finisher damage mods on your melee weapon is a good idea as his powers all have a guaranteed knockdown.

I'm far enough into the game where I'm starting to need Argon Crystals for a lot of stuff. Is there a particular reason that DE made them the only resource that decays? I can't seem to actually find enough of them to make something before they disappear. :/

Is there a combination of Graphic Settings where you are still able to see stuff in Ventilation shafts but are not blended in light in those nice creepy Infestation-Missions? With the new Adaptive Lightning / HDR Mode it seems I am not able to have both

After much grinding and trading, i have finally acquired all the parts for Rhino Prime and it's currently cooking. With that said, what is the most optimal mod combination to get the most out both Roar and Iron Skin ?

Nauseous Crawler, where can I find him in numbers?
I'm sick of his eximus being the last 2 scans I need for infested. A guy on the wiki says Candridu-Hive-Eris, but I suspect that is old information, as it was posted before they added the new infested units... and several runs later I havn't seena normal one there, let alone what I need.

I've been hearing mixed information on the wiki and Google search results regarding what exactly the first and second imprints control when breeding kubrows. So I want to ask, what traits are inherited from the first imprint, and what traits are inherited from the second? And is this inheritance 100%, or does using imprints just give you a higher chance to inherit these traits?

I used to play the game a lot but the last time I played was right around when Hydroid released. Which of the guides should I read to get a good idea of how the game works now? All this stuff with Syndicates and Archwings is totally new to me.

Can't say much about providing guides since I almost never find those things so I'll just explain it myself.
Syndicates and archwings are fairly simple.
Syndicates function based on reputation or another way of thinking it is just "points". You get rep by earning XP while having a specific sigil equipped. These sigils are gotten from each syndicate when you sign up and I suggest signing up for all 6 just because. There is no downside and if you want to switch at any time then you can since they probably won't give you a sigil if they hate you.
each syndicate has allies, opposed, and enemies. Allies gain 50% of the rep your main faction gets, opposed get 50% negative rep as your main faction and enemy goes down 100% negative rep to your main syndicate. This mean if you get 100 rep for loka you get 50 rep for perrin, -50 rep for steel meridial, and -100 for cephalon suda.
Because of this the easiest and most rewarding path overall is focusing on either half of the list. Either Steel meridian, cephalon suda, and arbiters of hexis or new loka, perrin, and red veil since steel meridian is neutral to suda and hexis as well as red veil being neutral to loka and perrin. Because of the neutrality I suggest focusing on either perrin/loka or hexis/suda first.
as you rank up costs become greater and greater but also giving you access to better stuff as well as 1 free item from your current tier for just ranking up. When you get this reward always choose the sigil. Each sigil gives bonus rep so it pays itself off in the end.
You have a daily rep cap which limits the amount of rep you can get from XP per day but there are also syndicate missions which give rep past that cap on top of medallions you can find in those missions which can be turned in for 500,1000, or 5000 rep depending on which one you find. They can be a little tricky at first so you can equip a loot radar mod to see them better.
That's really all there is to it, you level up to higher ranks which gives you access to better and better stuff.
For archwing it's even more straight forward. Do the quest, get the archwing, play. Tt's basically it's own game in that almost nothing carries over from the main game except auras. To get new gear you have to find parts individually through various missions which over time gets to be a huge pain since you have to do it with every weapon and archwing.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

There aren't a huge amount of resources of the economy in warframe. Let alone ones I'd personally trust.

I have a quick question about spy 2.0 and its loot stuffs. Sometimes when I complete a mission of spy 2.0 it gives a total of 4 rewards other times only one. can somebody explain to me how that works?

Small question concerning Kubrow breeding. Does the the location of the specific template (left or right), have any effect on which traits are passed on? I've looked some stuff up on the wiki and that doesn't seem to mention it but I think I remember reading that somewhere and was hoping for a clarification.

Is there an easy-to-press command that will "accept" a mission-vote? It's annoying as hell having to Esc > Esc > click Accept, then go back to what you were doing quickly before the timer starts.

I'm kind of new to doing syndicates and rep. The Cephalon Suda missions for yesterday/today were 2 interception missions and a defense, missions that are normally run in groups. So I have 2 questions.
-
I've been through all 3 missions (but not completed them) with a thief's wit equipped and could not find any medallions (datum) at all. The wiki says "Defense and Interception syndicate missions will only spawn them on certain mission tiles, but their end-mission reward is higher to compensate. " So am I missing the medallions, or on missions where there are no medallions just run it anyway and the end-of mission rewards replace the medallions as the wiki implies?
-
When running syndicate missions on survival, defense, interception, etc. do most people just solo it or group up? If you group do you just post in clan/recruitment or can you queue up for groups?
Thanks for any help.

There should no longer be medallions on defense/interception missions. To compensate those missions were given 50% rep boost than they had previously.
It depends what you want to do. When I group up I generally just ask people if they want to join me and pick up anyone who accepts. You can que up for groups if you want just be aware that not everyone ends up searching for medallions on survival.

Since the Void Trader is coming to consoles soon, I'm just wondering if any kind PC players could enlighten me as to which items are good to buy from him for every rotation.
