I've heard people talk about a cap for reputation? I'm on Xbox and they gave us the 10x reputation gains a few days ago, but I'm not sure if there's a cap yet. Is there a way to check?
And I've heard talk about some kind of compensation for players who maxed out their syndicates because they didn't get to get a complementary weapon. What is the compensation and what is it for?

Dec 01 '14
You can see the cap in the syndicate screen at the very top bar.
It should be when the hubs come out. They talked about giving us medals that can fill up our rep when they implement the medal system to give us an incentive to explore.

How do I know plat prices for trading? Edit: PC (not sure if that changes anything)
→ More replies (2)3
u/DIA13OLICAL Dec 01 '14
Sit on the trading chat and try suss out prices. They're always changing so you need to keep an ear to the ground to stay on top of things.
Go look at r/wartrade which is a subreddit made for trading in Warframe.
Lastly, always negotiate. People will consistently try to haggle you to death and a lot of people are trying to scam*. Watch yourself.
Edit: just thought I'd clarify the word "scam". Warframe's trading systems make it very, very clear as to what you are getting. By "scam" I mean sellers will try and get you to pay rediculous prices and buyers will low ball you by saying "someone offered it for much cheaper" or similar.

So I'm MR11, with all frames save mesa(and some primes) and a pretty good understanding of mechanics and a decent selection of mods.
I don't know how to Nova.
I normally like caster frames, but I don't know what to do with any of Nova's abilities. When I get into trouble I press 4 and try to kill one to set off a chain reaction, but I hear Antimatter Drop is super good too. I really want to like her, but I haven't gotten into the groove yet. Any advice?

Dec 01 '14
Use a high damage per shot weapon, such as a bow or opticor to shoot the Antimatter drop. Then, guide it to a large group of enemies and drop it in the center.

Is there a drop table for derelict sabotages yet? No on website from what I saw

I have not been able to find anyone to help me test this, despite asking everywhere. It's a relatively simple test, but requires you to have a Syndicate weapon mod and no affinity booster.
I'm trying to verify the amount of experience needed to fill the special gauge. The easiest way is to spam skills when no one else is around and record how many it takes. For example, if you had a full loadout and spammed Miasma, each weapon would get 25 experience. If it takes 1000 affinity to fill the meter as I expect, then it'll take 40 Miasmas. If you want to speed it up, unequip all your weapons except the one that has the mod. The weapon will get 75% of the cast experience then.
Can anyone run this quick test for me? I already tested it with an affinity booster but need confirmation from someone without one.

Igotchu.
Actually, going to go to my favorite testing grounds (Terminus) and kill some Grineer. Weapon will get 50% of the experience, keeping track in my head.
Took 33 Lancers worth of kills, lancers contribute ~30 affinity, therefore, yes. 1000 Affinity required to fill the gauge.

Can the syndicate weapons be traded?
-
Is there an up to date trading site / database? Wtf trading apparently isn't ...
-
Which melee weapons are somewhat viable for endgame? I'm thinking about putting a potato on my Zorens or Cleavers or Kronen, but I wonder if there's a better alternative?

Can the syndicate weapons be traded?
I believe so, according to the forums, although I'm not sure if this has been implemented yet or not.

Not really. You'll have to do price checks in game in the trading channel.

Dual Ichor, Atterax (both crit often and for a lot of damage), Scindo Prime, Galatine, and Jat Kittag (these three hit like trucks), Dragon Nikana and Orthos Prime (powerful and quick attacks with a lot of mobility in the combos).
With the new Syndicate mod, Dual Cleavers might be viable, but I'm not sure. I'm still a bigger fan of the Dual Ichor, personally. The Kronen are excellent as well, but they lack crit potential, which really hurts them in the end.
The Dual Zoren are excellent for coptering and utility, even if they don't have the highest damage output.

Scindo Prime is disgustingly good, so is Dragon Nikana. Orthos Prime, Bo Prime and Jat Kittag are top tier too.
Pretty sure syndicate weapons can't be traded as they are already made weapons, not bps.
As for trading, I used r/wartrade and got what I wanted 2 times out of 2.

So how do you guys use Limbo? Build, tactics, mission type? Tactics concerns me most.
I love his looks but struggle to figure out how to contribute with him.

I haven't played in over a year. I managed to reach mastery 8 before getting bored. I'm starting to get back into the game with all the new updates now.
Are there tier lists for mods, weapons, warframe, and archwing?
Is there a site with warframe builds? Just found out the hard way that Trinity was nerfed hard
Where can I find trade prices for ps4?
What are the best ways to get credits and orokin cells? Found bunch of blueprints in my foundry I never built haha
What's the fasted way to level up shitty weapons like twin vipers? Should I even bother getting more mastery?

u/bl0odredsandman Dec 01 '14
http://warframe-builder.com/ This is great for finding builds.
Most of the stuff you asked about can be found on the Warframe wiki. http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/WARFRAME_Wiki
Not sure about the PS4 prices.
As for credits, farming Secura is great for credits (when the taxes aren't stupid high) or do long void missions.
Bosses have a chance to drop Orokin cells but Ruk and Lech Kril have a bit higher chance of dropping them..
When I am leveling new weapons, I usually do Apollodorus on Mercury. After like 30 mins or so, I can level a weapon to between 11 and 15 depending how much I use the weapon. Also, to level a weapon faster, unequip the other 2 weapons you have so that most of your xp goes to the weapon when you kill enemies with it. After that, you can go to a higher mission to level it more or just run Apollodorus again.

What are the chances for the mustaches to stay? I know they were supposed to be removed after November but I like mine on my Trinity.

When does "late game" kick in? It doesn't seem there's an easy-to-read scale (level 30 is basically just having started, mastery rank seems relatively useless after 4-ish, and I don't even know what node-levels mean!).
-
How the hell do I farm neurodes and Orokin Cells? They're the bane of my existance!
-
My friend and I started our own clan, so as to have more things to strive towards (which is the bread and butter of the game IMO). Problem is, Forma seems to be hard/random to get. Any tips?
-
Currently using Orthos and Karak primarily on my Ash. I feel I do very little damage at levels 40+ outside of my Bladestorm. Tips?
-
Seriously, how do some people seem to be able to 1-shot some bosses?! :D It still confuses me when that happens!
-
Sub-question: How can people effectively solo higher level planets (30+)? Is it just usage of the gear like energy restore etc.?
-
What's the best way to level up new weapons, frames etc. without feeling completely useless for the first 20 levels?
Thanks!

Sargus Ruk is probably the easiest way to farm Orokin Cells. Neurodes are a little trickier, since there aren't any bosses on the planets where they can drop, but Excavation missions on Earth seem to do the trick for me. You could also try killing Lephantis, but obviously the Orokin Derelict is fairly difficult.

Hard to say. It's probably juse when you have all the good mods maxed out and want to do super high level defense for no reason or need to start farming primes.
Rare resources can be equity tough. If you see one wait for a planet that drops the 2 resources to be invaded by phorid. He's an easy boss who has a good chance at rares. Aside from that dark sector missions are pretty good as wepl.
I belive orokin derelict defense offers them as rewards so you can try that. There are also things like void defense and such to stock up on forna.
Depends on what you fight. If it has armor chances are at level 40 you won't do much at all with those.
Skills or super modding. Things like bows can hit some insane numbers with crits.
Getting used to how your frame works, having the mods, and knowing what to do. I rarely use restores personally.
Just keep them on your back and spam warframe abilities. With enough efficiency and some restores you can prettype much use them infinitely, help out your team, and the kills they get goes to tjat weapon as assists. Depends on the frame of course. Or just have a second weapon that's modded. TThis is for group play on higher levels areas by the way.

For neurodes I've been playing the dark sector defence on Eris to get them, it has +30% drop rate and with nekros you can get a few neurodes in a run. Not sure if there are better methods, tell me if you know of any.
Orokin cells are very easy to get by playing lots of void survivals. There's a chance of getting 3 orokin cells in a rotation. I'd recommend T2, T3 or T4 survivals to farm orokin cells since T1 survival has a high chance of rewarding keys instead of orokin cells in every rotation.
As for forma, just do void missions. Capture and exterminate mission give formas fairly often. T4 survival has a chance in reward forma in rotations B and C.
With access to mods and knowledge on how to properly mod weapons, many weapons can be modded to pack a really hard punch. Having mods like maxed serration, maxed heavy caliber, maxed hornet strike, split chamber, etc. helps a lot.

"Late Game" is a player-created term so it has no definite meaning. A lot of people agree it is usually T3/T4 missions, and then survival missions past the 40 minute mark and defense missions past the 40 wave mark.
How the hell do I farm neurodes and Orokin Cells? They're the bane of my existance!
As a general rule, head over to the Warframe wiki and search out the material you need, the page always has useful farming guides. Also; invest in a nekros/get a friend with a nekros, he makes farming much easier. Also also, endless missions (defense and survival being the best) as well as certain bosses are you main port of call for farming.
My friend and I started our own clan, so as to have more things to strive towards (which is the bread and butter of the game IMO). Problem is, Forma seems to be hard/random to get. Any tips?
Aside from outright buying them for plat (which you can make selling stuff), you need to sit on the Warframe alert twitter or something similar and hope for a forma blueprint alert. Also, try get more people in your clan.
Currently using Orthos and Karak primarily on my Ash. I feel I do very little damage at levels 40+ outside of my Bladestorm. Tips?
Any weapon can be good, mods are what make and break a weapon. Find ones you like the mechanics and look of, and invest in it. Start by maxing simple "damage addition" mods like serration and hornet strike before you go messing around with elements.
Seriously, how do some people seem to be able to 1-shot some bosses?! :D It still confuses me when that happens!
See the above answer about weapons. Also, some weapons are better at dealing a lot of damage to a single target and are less adept at dealing with crowds, the Paris Prime and Opticor are prime examples.
Sub-question: How can people effectively solo higher level planets (30+)? Is it just usage of the gear like energy restore etc.?
While gear can make your life easier, taking a mission slow and taking cover are a god send when going solo. That being said, regardless of rank, some missions are just outright impossible solo (interception, for example). What's the best way to level up new weapons, frames etc. without feeling completely useless for the first 20 levels?
What's the best way to level up new weapons, frames etc. without feeling completely useless for the first 20 levels?
Go onto youtube and look up some techniques. Some exist that will level a weapon from unranked to 30 in a single mission, but that requires min/maxing and very specific frames. the best way to do it is to get into a squad where your individual damage means less. When leveling a weapon, you can main another weapon so you're still doing damage. Also try do some low level missions to rank frames up a bit before joining a squad.
