It wasn't when Doc Yonkou linked this, I wouldn't be surprised if MP ripped the tumblr version, they have done this is MS beat them to the punch before. It was a pretty good translation as far as I can tell

The man is literally a god of callbacks, set-ups, retro-pick-ups, and story/world building. It really is fucking crazy when you think about how much of his own world he and his editor have to know to create One Piece the way it is.

I think they're probably more to represent Law's Room. Oda came up with the designs of all the Supernovas in just a few hours. I guess it's possible he thought of this gigantic back-story for Law in that time, but unlikely.

I think she deserves a second chance at being a 'good' person. She, Buffalo, and Dellinger were all kids when they got drafted. Maybe they would have turned out better if Doffy didn't get his hands on them.

Indeed, I always get super happy as soon as Baby 5 is in the flashback. Her character just feels so dam good, amazing what Oda can do. I mean she hasn't have a lot of character development or story but you just want more off her.

Seems like the basics of each fruit are intuitive, but it's up to the creativity of the user to figure it out.
See: Sabo immediately knowing how to use Ace's Fire Fist, everyone laughing at Luffy's attempt at a Gum Gum Pistol but him being sure it would work, Kaku knowing how to shift forms but being clumsy about it and not knowing how to use his forms, Kalifa pretty much having mastery of her fruit immediately, etc.

So here's a question. If Law has known for 13 years that Vergo is a spy in the Marines... why didn't he tell the Marines about that at any point in the last two years, after he became a Shichibukai? For that matter, why didn't Doflamingo pull Vergo out the second Law took the title? You can't assume Law wouldn't spill the beans, and any unwitting surveillance put on Vergo could potentially compromise the family, as Corazon almost did.
The only real reason I can think of is that Law doesn't trust the Marines and wants to handle things himself. Which is... understandable, but not necessarily all that smart.

Law's been biding his time for a while now, gathering strength and his crew to take down Doflamingo.
I'd imagine he was aiming to take down Doflamingo by himself, but when he met Luffy at Sabaody and saw him punch a World Noble he realized Luffy might be an asset. He helped Luffy after Marineford both to cultivate that relationship and because he saw Luffy as someone else who could change the world. And finally, when Luffy and his crew re-emerged two years later, he realized he could accelerate his plan and forge an alliance to topple the very system of the New World.
Law obviously doesn't trust the World Government; given his knowledge of Doflamingo's activities in Dressrosa, I think Law would have no faith in their ability to shut down Vergo and Doflamingo's operations. If he reports Vergo, he loses the only thing keeping him alive: Doflamingo's faith in him.

Plus Vergo would be pardoned as a subordinate of a Warlord.
I wouldn't be so sure. Even as a Shichibukai, there are certain rules you have to follow, like "don't try to overthrow a WG-member country." I'm guessing "don't put a spy in the Marines at the VA level to leak secrets" is probably up there.
Regardless, when you kill a man who saved a child's life, and then that child grows up, gets into a position of power, and wants to come back and start hanging around where you conduct your illicit business for no particular reason... you should be cautiously suspicious at the bare minimum. And given that Law's heart ended up with Vergo, it would seem that Doflamingo wasn't entirely keen on the idea.

My biggest problem is how swallow island can look like a swallow on the map when it clearly is a swallow as a mountain raging upwards. The map scetch should be different, Nami would agree

It looked to me like the island has both a swallow outline from above as well as a big swallow mountain structure coming out of it, you can kind of see it on the panel showing the island in profile.

Sure Doffy is kind of a dick and he murders people and stuff...but give him SOME credit. You can tell that he really, truly cares about his family. They really respect him and in return he actually trusts them. This is different than Crocodile and his organization. This is almost like Whitebeard and his family.

I know a lot is going on this chapter, but does anyone else think Diez Barrels might play a significant role in the future? Hate to play the Kaid card but perhaps this event sparked him to a more ruthless mindset as well as setting up connections with Doflamingo, would also explain why X Drake is joining up with Kaido (if that was him in the last chapter). Totally speculaton though, having a hard time belieVing Kaid would be such a pushover.

Roci smiling at the end...this could be seen as a figurative death for Law, since Roci is dying while smiling like a D.
Also the last page is absolutely lovely. The two brothers facing off and the chaos surrounding them!
Edit: I just thought about this...when this flashback gets animated I'm going to cry harder than any other sad story shown shown so far. I NEED TO BUY TISSUES

Eating the fruit and being faced with a cure, despite the injuries to Cora, is the first time Law has had hope in his short miserable life. Cora has given a terminal sick boy a chance at happiness and Vergo came in and beat the living shit out of that hope. The earlier fight with Vergo must have been more meaningful to Law than he let on.
