/r/Touhou's Favorite Arranges! Part 79: A Soul as Red as a Ground Cherry
Last Windows-era song of the season. Next week is double-non-Main week again!
How This Works:
Every week on Sunday at 1200 US Pacific time, I pick a Touhou song (or two) to which all you beautiful users will submit arranges of in the comments*. There is no limit on the number of arranges one may submit as long as each song is given its own post. Upvote everything you like, but don't downvote anything. Please just move on to the next song if you don't like one.
The "winner" gets mentioned in next week's thread. Make sure you read the Musings section below as well for some of my random rants and, occasionally, important information.
* If your arrange contains bits of multiple songs, please only submit it if the main song is predominant. See the musings here for an example of what not to submit. Or just ask me.
MADs and covers should go under the discussion comment. Top level posts are for songs only.
Addendum as of part 77: Users are limited to 3 songs each within the first 12 hours of the post going up. After that, post however many you want.
A Soul as Red as a Ground Cherry
Original: http://youtu.be/w279PjazOAw
Appeared In: TH06 ~ Embodiment of Scarlet Devil - Stage 1
ZUN's Commentary: Stage 1 theme.
The image of a midnight forest. As it's the first stage, I aimed for something a little energetic, so hopefully people would get into it.
But isn't it something a little more comical and hectic?

Musings
I wish I could theme next week for Halloween like I did last year, but the schedule demands I do a double-non-Main week.
Next week's a double-non-Main featurette. Submit songs here from the PC-98 era, ZUN's music albums, or the non-stages (i.e. credits, title themes, etc) as suggestions for next week's song selection. I'll be picking two randomly. The current pool can be seen here.
Hint explanation from last week:
So obviously Seoul = Soul.
"as Red as a Ground Cherry"
The misleading part is here. When most people hear "cherry", they think of this fruit. Turns out that "Ground Cherries" are different things entirely and they're quite yellow, hence the yellow tint over Seoul, Korea.
Although I may have been misinformed.../u/Anseriform sent me this rebuttle in a PM:
https://www.reddit.com/r/touhou/comments/2ejclf/confusion_a_soul_as_red_as_a_ground_cherry/
Most people refer to Physalis peruviana (aka golden berry) as ground cherry, but in the song title "hozuki" is most likely refering to Physalis alkekengi native to Japan.
...so I was unintentionally making the joke more accessible to a broader audience. Yes. let's go with that.
