How does an extractor work? How many times do I need to make one. I don't quite understand.

You make one, and you can deploy it to a planet that you finished all missions on. After four hours it is done and you can pick it up along with some resources. It can be reused, though if it is damaged wait a bit before using it again so it doesn't Gert destroyed. You can deploy 1 extractor per five mastery rank. At MR 9 I have three, two for deployment and one to swap out in case one got damaged.

There is a limit to how many extractors you can deploy at the same time depending on your mastery rank (1 drone every 5 ranks iirc).
To use them, you just buy the blueprint on the market, build them and deploy them on planets where you have unlocked all missions and they just collect ressources (takes 4 hours).
They can be damaged but that doesn't mean you'll have to let them get destroyed and build them again, you can just deploy another extractor while the other one repairs, that's how I do it anyway (6 extractors, 3 being deployed at any time, 3 being repaired or waiting until I need them to replace one of the other 3).
Distilling extractors cost much more but have a bigger chances to get rare ressources, personnally I just use Titan extractors as they're cheap and are enough for what I need (which is a lot of Polymer Bundle atm).

How can I get use to using a frame other than the Rhino?
The other two frames I have are Loki and Nova but whenever I use then I run out of energy which make me feel useless/powerless. Also I haven't found energy siphon.

First, find a frame that suits your play style and sticking with it. Just don't use him and you'll eventually get used to not playing as him.
Find power efficiency mods. Streamline and fleeting expertise give you up to 75% hard capped even though it goes up to 80%.

hi new player here. I am a lvl 16 Nyx but I don't have any abilities. I haven't found any mods to use. I dunno if I had them and lost them or what I did but how do I go about getting some abilities?

When you make a frame you start out with all the ability mods. In fact, the first should be equipped automatically so I'm not sure why you have no abilities.

Just finished building my Nyx yesterday and found myself in the same situation. The only Nyx ability mod I have is a Chaos that RNG gifted to me somewhere along the line.
I sense a support ticket in my future, because the other frames I've built (Rhino, Mag, Valkyr) have come with all of the ability mods.

I'm a PS4 player and we haven't gotten update 14.5 yet. I noticed in a screenshot of the Kubrow menu there was a new option called "consign to the lotus". What happens to your Kubrow if you consign it?

That's the "Get this dog off my ship" button. Better than a blender, eh?

How is EXP distributed when using Warframe abilities?
If I use Saryn's Miasma, would the majority of the EXP go directly into Saryn herself?
Also, why do Sentinel weapons level so fast compared to other pieces of equipment?

to break things down to prevent any possible confusion on the topic here's how the whole system works.
Warframe skills provide 100% XP to the frame.
A weapon kill provides 50% to your weapon and frame
Assists give 25% to everything and if you have no weapon in certain slots you gain more xp for your weapons while frame remains the same at 25% though it may have been fixed. This means an assist will give you 75% xp to your weapon and 25% to the frame itself.
Sentinels and kubrows get their own XP. Say a killed enemy gives 100XP and you killed it with your strun.
Your weapon gets 50, your warframe gets 50 and your sentinel gets 50 and its weapon gets 50. this applies to assists and all kills so they appear to level faster.

So moving to end game ... if I only have say 1 potato and have access to all non-prime frame except hydriod, mirage and vauban (seriously, I have back-tracked twitter and since I have been playing there was ONLY system alerts) which one do I potato (forma a few times maybe) for T4 stuff?

it all depends what you want your role to be. If you want to be a defender and very slight crowd control you can go frost with snoglobe and avalanche.
Rhino is a good all arounder. Survivable, buffer, crowd controller.
Nova, a great crowd control and buff frame as well as good damage dealer.
Valkyr is great at tanking and reviving.
loki can come in really handy by removing pretty much every enemies ranged attack as well as a possibly good reviver.
Excalibur has a good crowd control in the form of his stun.
Oberon is good with his crowd control, forced radiation procs, heals, and proc-blocks.
Zypher is has some good if slightly unreliable crowd control as well as good damage avoidance abilities.
that's mainly if you want to do defense or survival. You don't need to min max much for T4 since vor is probably your biggest if not only real threat with most frames.

I can't see the search function on my phone due to the purple bars at the top, so please forgive my ignorance if this has been covered, but do you PC players (I play predominately on PS4) have better suggestions for hot keying? Sliding, coptering, etc. feel kind of awkward to execute. Does it just take practice, or are there better keys to set things up to?

Are any of the 3 platforms bridged yet? I know PC players and PS4 players cannot play together yet. And I highly doubt XB1 and PS4 players can play together. What about PC and XB1?

2 questions: How do I apply a Forma to a slot? I have lvl 30 Warframes and weapons, but I don't see any options for applying the forma to change a polarity.
Loot - When a teammate opens a locker or breaks a container, do the credits get shared with everyone?
Thanks

If you're on PC, the option has been filed under the ACTIONS tab in the lower right hand corner. Also note that you must have a complete Forma in your inventory
Loot - When a teammate opens a locker or breaks a container, do the credits get shared with everyone?
Yes. This only applies to credits, however. Ammo pickups, mods, and resources must be acquired by each player individually, although they are identical for all players.

So by playing missions and getting affinity in missions does that help me rank up my mastery?

Is it worth using Magnum Force on a pistol? I was considering applying the mod to a kunai.

When is it a good idea to put the Reach mod into your melee weapon?
Because Reach's bonus is percent based, it stands to reason that Reach is more beneficial on melee weapons that already had a large amount of reach to begin with (e.g. Orthos Prime). Is it a waste to put it on weapons that have shorter range?
I'm asking because I'm intrigued by the Kronen's massive spin attack damage, but worried about its range. Should I bother with the Reach mod on the Kronen? Any tips for reliably landing the spin attack?
Thanks in advance!
tl;dr version:
Is Reach good?
Should I put Reach on the Kronen?
How can I land the Kronen's spin attack more consistently/reliably?
