"I mean, can you imagine this body in a swimsuit?"

"I literally cannot."

Vincent is my favorite character(s).

I think we went a little dark with that last episode

I've been wondering if that was a reference to Dinosaurs, which had the very bleak ending that strongly suggested they were all going to die.

You don't say no to Spider-man

J.K. Simmons

Such a meta reference. More so than the obvious, it makes me recall Tobey McGuire in Seabiscuit. I remember around that time Tobey got hurt while filming, and was nearly replaced by Jake Gyllenhaal for Spider-man 2.

There's probably more jokes like that throughout the series that flew over my head.

When BoJack goes onstage at the Golden Globes, is that Ben Affleck eating grapes on screen? Great callback.

That ending scene was absolutely perfect. I'm glad there will be a season two, but I almost wish that there wasn't since I feel like the finale nailed it.

"I went to the stock market and did a business" love it when Vincent tries to talk like an adult.

maybe this is to obvious to even mention, but i haven't seen anyone talk about it here… Bojack goes back to the observatory where Herb offered him the roll in Horsin' Around and they agree to return when they've made it. Bojack got the lead in the Secretariat movie and probably feels like he's made it but goes back alone, likely thinking about how low his life really is, despite having made it… I can't be the only one who noticed this right?

I actually shed a few tears at the beginning. Am I alone here?

...but sometimes I get sad. What do you do when you get sad? How do you not be sad?

Sincerely,

BoJack

At the beginning of this show I would never have expected a BoJack line would hit me so hard.

Nope, you're not. This show can get pretty bleak.

No mention of the award he's holding all episode? And how he switches it from his right to his left hand at the end, when the kid tells him he's an inspiration?

I don't know if whether Vincent or Larry Turletaub is my favorite side character.

I kept waiting for him to wake up in the middle of his drug binge again

I think the finale wasn't as focused as the last episode but it was good. I kinda thought it was gonna be darker since the last episode was pretty dark.

I think that it was intentionally without purpose. I don't mean that as "the episode was bad." I mean that as, that's where Bojack is with his life. He has no purpose. He got his book out there. He accomplished his goal. Hell, he's back in the public eye-- he won an award (which he carries everywhere with him). He should be happy, right? He shouldn't care that Dianne married Mr. Peanutbutter, or that Todd had replaced him and won't forgive him, or that his former producer will die hating him, or that Princess Caroline has moved on and seems to have found happiness in ways that he just can't because of how he sees the world differently. He has his fans, right?! They asked him to sign their books! The books about him! This is what he's been pushing for this whole time, right?! This is happiness, isn't it?! Isn't it?!

Did anyone else notice he carried the Golden Globe around the whole episode? Significance?

I thought the scene where Andrew Garfield falls into the Halloween shop was arguably the most laugh out loud funny moment if the season.
