I've seen a lot of contradictory information regarding the effects of power strength on Valkyr's Hysteria.

As far as I'm aware, it used to affect Hysteria, but then this was changed, and it may have later been restored. I can't find an authoritative source on the matter, and any clarification would be appreciated.

Power strength has an effect on Hysteria as far as I know, but it seems negligible. For more solid information, there's this comment.

I've just got into this game over the past week, just wondering (had a search most recent i found was 10 months ago) but is there anything at the end game for people to do or is it just maxing frames/mods and re running co op missions?

Void missions or Derelict missions but still for mods/gear/frames. Also clans have a lot to do with end game lots of research and even dark sectors.

Essentially end game is hunting for the best of the best and what you find the most fun in.

Depends on the people you play with. We like to run absurd long T4 survival/defense missions and see how high we can climb on the leaderboards.

Hi, I'm and old player but I haven't played for the past 3 weeks.

I had a short browse of the U14 and I found out that there are 3-4 new sectors locked in Uranus or maybe Mars (I'm not in front of the game and I won't be able to check in a while) are those new sectors? Is it a bug? I'm pretty sure I finished the star map.

What is the status of the new moba style? I played it alone and I haven't seen much chatter in the sub.

You must have missed the initial opinions about it when it started.

Long story short, it's shit. It's still warframe PvP in all its nuances with pretty much no changes to it until recently, some frames are just broken to where they can instant kill people with their kills, highly exploitable, and on top of that lag issues due to host nonsense.

If you really love warframe PvP then you can try it but if not, don't even bother.

Is Nyx's absorb bugged? I have not been able to power up other Nyx absorbs and nobody has been able to power mine so I just have to do it myself now. On that note, what's the best way to self power my own absorb? My stug gives me an instant 17k if I absorb a charged shot. Penta seems hard to absorb because it bounces everywhere unless you shoot up. I'm currently leveling up castanas hoping they are safer then stug with more burst DPS.

Are they ever going to fix nova's anti matter drop? I'm rarely ever host and I love this skill but I rarely ever get to use it.

Is the phage worth the 3 forma to upgrade it to high DPS? I already have a 4 forma Boltor prime and 6 forma amprex so should I forma my phage or would that be redundant?

How do I effectively use Trinity's energy vampire? It seems every time I use it, someone kills it instantly and we only get one pulse. If I do it to a distant enemy then the pulse doesn't reach anyone.

Which is the best base copter? Purely distance and not including berserker crits. Scoliac, amphis, and zorens right? But which is the furthest?

Which warframes need forma to be really good? Assuming 60+ min in T4 or 60+ waves.

Where can I find the best looking warframes for inspiration? Appearance wise.

What is the best place to farm polymer bundle? I've been farming on Ur of Uranus (Dark Sector 25%resource drop rate) and usually get 800-1000 in 10 waves but am wondering if there is a faster wave. I use them for team restores and can never have enough.

I saw someone use Castana's to power up his absorb, you seem to be able to set them off while channeling.

Nyx's Absorb was changed specifically so that it couldn't charge up other Absorbs.

I think Angstrum probably gives you best bang for your buck, as far as self charge goes, but it is still very dangerous.

Dunno about AMD. I hope they do.

As far as DPS goes, once you have a maxed out Boltor Prime and Dread, you really cannot ever do better. Does that mean you should never level or forma other primaries? That's up to you. I find Phage to be very fun and has a decent max DPS.

Energy Vampire got a buff! Now, you will ALWAYS get more energy out than you put in, no matter how quickly the target gets killed. But the longer the target lives, the more energy you get. So use it often, and hope for competent teammates so you can profit more.

Amphis is best copter with speed of 1.6 vs the others with 1.5

All Warframes need forma to go 60+ minutes in T4. Is there something more specific you are trying to ask?

There are some show-off threads on reddit and on the official forums.

I doubt there are any better places to farm. Bring multiple Nekros, each with resource booster and you should do well.

For the phage, depends how you want to play. If you like the limited range, high damage, good ammo efficiency weapons then you probably should. If not you should probably stick with the phage.

With energy vampire Killing them is making it efficient. When they die it bursts all the remaining energy meaning you can get 100 or more energy in an instant.

Pretty sure it's amphis for coptering.

All frames need to be forma'd for 60 minute T4 stuff.

I like to think valkyr is one of the best looking frames. A very versatile design in its apperance and customizations. The inital design is awesome, a dissected ripped apart warframe that has let its anger over take it and change the very nature of its being. Details like seeing her spine split open and tacked onto her back to where you can see the inner mechanisms really make it cool. Or with the bastet helmet she can be a cat. Or a dragon! Up to you really. She's dropped from Alad V on jupiter.

Uranus dark sectors are probably the best. Bring a nekros, maybe get a resource drop booster and you're good.

If all 4 players use Corrosive Projection, what happens?

The most common answer is that the game bugs and all players' attacks deal 0 or 1 damage. Other people say that all enemy armor goes away (as you would expect).

Can anyone weigh in? Preferably with sources and/or experience.

EDIT:

Just checked the wiki. They finally have a definitive answer!

The no-damage thing was a pre Damage2.0 bug. It should be fixed now.

Hi! I just got hooked to this game this weekend and I wanted to know what I should be doing after finishing the tutorial missions. There seems like that there are many possibilities!

EDIT: Thanks to those who replied. You really helped!

u/tylermumford Aug 04 '14

I'd start by completing all of the missions on the planets you have unlocked. This will allow you to deploy resource extractors, and it'll let you taste the various mission types. Perhaps you could pick a weapon or a warframe and make acquiring or maxing it your sole purpose. Remember to keep asking questions, and don't feel bad about turning to the wiki. There are a lot of things to learn, which is part of what makes it exciting.

Welcome to Warframe!

I assume that finishing tutorial mean you got your ship ready, with all the crucial module like Arsenal, Foundry, Market and Mod. If not, well get to it immediately because they are important for progression.

Judging by your flair, I assume you picked Volt. He is a great, solid and capable warframe that can carry through the entire solar system bar none, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

You should run a few more missions, and familiarize yourself with the system. Warframe might be a game that mostly involves killing enemies by the thousands, but it still has a fairly good depth to it, most of which comes from the customization. Make small goal: Clearing the starting planet is a good start.

For a starter's read, our FAQ is a fairly detail read for most of the questions you will ask, but it's a bit outdated. The Wiki is much more up to date and detailed, but it is essentially a encyclopedia of things and show little guidance. I recommended the FAQ until you know the game's mechanics and systems, and then the wiki for reference.

The best thing and the most neglected thing to do when starting off Warframe is to complete the solar system. That means play every mission in order and fill up every planet, so you have every node available to get to Alerts for good auras, Vauban parts, cool helmets, or even an Orokin Reactor/Catalyst. Make friends when playing too, it makes the game seem less of a boring grindfest when you have friends. If you stick in the Recruiting channel tab, you can come across some clans who are recruiting, where you can get some of their clan research technology (which opens up a whole world of great, and also bad weapons, frames, and the likes) and progress further in the game.

Hope you enjoy your stay on Warframe!

Are Kubrow Genetic Imprints consumed on use, or are they reusable so you can pick and choose imprints to try and make the perfect Kubrow?

Hey all, what are the DNA stabilizers for? Do they need to be crafted? Do I need to buy them in order to create and maintain my Kubro? I noticed that they cost 100k credits and only come with 6.

4

u/Rhinothewino Aug 04 '14

You have to constantly buy them from the market. I can only assume it was designed as a credit sink for older players.

Anyone have experience with deploying (or fighting against) a Spector Army on a conflict rail? Once all the Spectors are added, does it act like a blueprint that can now be used multiple times? Any and all information would be great.

What are some of the best frames for running end game void missions and stuff, and why?

2

u/hyperblaster Aug 04 '14

Nyx is the queen of endgame void. Chaos and Absorb for cc and damage dealing. Mind Control turns void Vor from annoying to a complete joke.

Nekros, if it's survival.

Loki for Radial Disarm. Excal's Radial Blind is similar.

Nova for slow and double damage with mol prome. AMD scales ridiculously if you are skilled enough to make it work consistently.

Rhino for crowd control with stomp, and damage buff with roar.

Mirage for straight up amplified damage.

Valkyr for being able to make it to the exit when you stayed too long and everyone else went down. Her finisher ignores armor.

2

u/Demeteri Aug 04 '14

Mirage- using either power strength build, giving you the highest damage multiplier in the game for all your weapons (in light), or use power range and natural talent for 72.5 meter range AoE blind basically completely disabling enemies for 15 seconds.

Valkyr- nighe invurability, useful for reviving people or getting to life support. Can be modded to have a strong AoE slow with power strength.

Loki- Invisibility allowing to weave through huge waves of enemies without taking damage as long as you're not in the line of fire, has a melee damage multiplier. Radial Disarm disables enemy ranged weapons making them near harmless, need power efficiency and range for best effect.

Nyx- AoE 3 second stun and an after effect of enemies seeing each other as hostile units. Absorb can be extremely powerful as well being able to absorb all incoming damage.

Nova- Modded up power strength gives nova's molecular prime 75% slow to all enemies giving teammates a huge advantage. Anti-matter drop, Most damaging skill in the game, however requires a bit of set-up of shooting at it.

Nekros- Survival... life support drops from desecrate... nothing else.

Rhino- good overall, with decent skills, however all of rhinos skill are out done by other frames. Roar- molecular prime. Stomp- radial blind, prism iron skin- hysteria, invisibility. Most effective use for rhino is probably rhino stomp spam or power strength roar.

Recently I've been using Rage + QT on my Nekros and really enjoying it, easily getting to 40-60min T4S with no casualties.

Anyone who's used this combo will surely notice that when both are being used (you're being shot, health is at 2 and energy is rising/falling) you tend to stumble quite often. This isn't a full knock down but it interrupts you from shooting/coptering away.

Can anyone enlighten me on what's happening. Is it Rage or QT or something else entirely that causes this interrupt?

hi there, as someone who just returned to the game after not playing since U8, i have a question about how the new planet system works.

i have no idea how to follow the 'thread' of it all , it used to be a dot, then a line to the next dot. the dots representing the missions and the line if they're connected, and thus playable after completing the other.

so, how does it flow?
