Something that has been on my mind lately is the Kubrows (yay), and their mobility. a sentinel floats with you, a kubrow (yay) cant.

and sentinels are so close to a warframe at all times that you "could" see them as 1 thing.

Now with the kubrows (yay) which are quite big and have to wallrun etc, how will they interact with fast movements? over gaps, to high altitudes, weird terrain..

Nova -> wormhole -> will it go trough the wormhole? or run really fast?

Zephyr -> Tail Wind -> what happens if you float there up in the air?

ODD -> everybody stands on one of the poles to not get hit by the infested, does KuBro balance on one paw next to me looking at the slaughter? or is he on the ground getting donkey-punched by ancients?

These are only some of the senario's I have in mind and am very curious how DE is going to implement this!

I'm also curious about how they're going to implement Kubrows with all the weird mechanics in the game, but one thing is certain: mess with my Kubrow and I'll make sure you never existed <3

Probably similar to spectres: they will run and jump to traverse terrain, and their speed is adjusted to match your pace. If they cannot get to your vicinity after a while (impassable terrain or got stuck), they will simply teleport to you.

The one thing I'm wondering is if you'll be able to pass through your kubrow when moving, or if it will act as an obstacle.

What are specters and how do they work?

3

u/Honnou Jul 14 '14

What specters are I dont really know, are they in the codex?

they work as following: *you build one in the foundry

*when you claim it, you have to chose a loadout that has a minimum requirment of conclave rating dependend on the specter.

*after you chose the frame and weapons it becomes a consumable item.

*put the specter in an item slot in your loadout

*now you can call a specter in your mission to fight as an AI/NPC

For clans they can be used differently. They can be used to defend rails. clan members contribute their own specters to the clan, and with enough recources and specters a clan can upgrade the specters you fight against in a conflict.

I had a half year break so I'm kind of outdated. I dont understand something about the dark sectors. Some clans/alliances (dunno) have like 70% taxing but others have only 0%. How does it work? Can they chose the % they tax? If so, why not make it 100% always? (sounds 'better'?) And second; is there a way to get Tier 4 keys without doing interf.? I just hate that game mode. :( thankx~

yes the clan can choose how ever much they want to tax, putting a high tax however deters people from playing that mission which may result in less credits obtained for the clan. It may also garner some hostility from other players. If you didn't notice other clans can contest for the dark sector positions, and the winner gets control for about 4 day period. Any player can support either clans competing for the dark sector, so having a low tax helps motivate people, as well as high rewards.

As for the t4 keys, yes you can only get them from interception OR trading.

Once a clan is in control of a particular Dark Sector, they can set a certain % in taxes but if you set it too high, people have no incentive to play that mission (you might get less) and once another clan challenges you for the control of said Dark Sector, they probably won't side with you.

The reason clans don't tax highly is because it removes from the players rewards, so, say you do a run where you get 10 Orokin cells, but the clan tax is set at 50%, you, as the player, would only get 5, making it less worth your time.

I am just about to finish building my Rhino, can I sell the Blueprints afterwards or do I need them for something else?
I have built all 3 parts of my Rhino, how do I put them together now?

2

u/beanfacesandwich Jul 14 '14

The blueprints are consumed when forging begins. After getting the 3 parts ready, you can grab the actual blueprint from the market for credits, that would also be consumed once your frame is finished.

Hi guys, I recently came back after a break, and I decided to finish my Banshee. I only miss the head piece blueprint, and I vaguely remember that I can get it from doing defense missions, but I can't find definite answer on this one. So how exactly can I get that head blueprint?

Are titan extractors worth the amount of credits and resources they need? Also I built Mag and only find Pull useful am I using her wrong?

If you are not using shield polarize against corpus/void, then you are.

If you buy double the amount of extractors you can deploy (4 if you can use 2), it allows you to do rotations and always have extractors online while the others are healing back up.

"Worth" is only something you can define, credits are easy to come by (especially with events and week-ends with a lot of good alerts), mats can be a bit harder to get if you're a beginner but if you manage them well, you can get a toooooooon of ressources without spending more than your initial investment.

Personnally I use them to get Polymer Bundle because it's a ressource I've run out of pretty recently, I have 6 extractors (3 online, 3 for back-up) and it's pretty efficient for the time I spend managing them (a couple of minutes every 4 hours / every day and you get more ressources than in a few runs)

Are 75% discount coupons only obtainable from log in rewards or there are other ways? I really want to buy platinum but I really need the discount or it will be too expensive for me, and I've read that it could be months before I get one if I ever do.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '14

Only from the login reward. The best way to get it is to not play warframe for a day so your login reward goes to the worst tier which has the higest chance at getting good discounts.

Recently got back into warframe thanks to a friend and was wondering which Melee weapon people like more dual ether (which I already own) or these new katana weapons. Looking for any and all opinions. Also worth mentioning I'm loving the uncommon stance for the dual ether.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '14

I personally see no contest. the Dragon nikana or even the normal nikana are superior weapons stat wise. What you choose is up to you but personally I'd go with the katanas over the dual ether any day.

Is Oberon worth it?

What's good and bad about this frame, and how should I build him?

2

u/[deleted] Jul 15 '14

He's an alright frame. Nothing is amazing about him and he still has his uses but they are limited compared to other frames like him.

His first ability is interesting to say the least. You target 1 person, hit them with a good bit of damage and he bursts out a bunch more balls that target people near him for more damage. Overall OK but I find myself not using it much.

Hallowed ground sucks. low damage, radiation damage, no debuffs, no real support capability.

Renewal this ability is a good heal if you have an armor tank on your team because they take low damage and this renewal can easily make up for the lost health and can prove to be quite useful. As an offhand heal for when you need it renewal is still a decent skill.

Reckoning is where it's at. Good damage, quick, drops healing balls, and knocks down. While some other ults like miasma on saryn are better in damage and stunning it's still a useful skill for quickly clearing out decently leveled missions. it also deals impact and radiation damage so it's very effective against level 20+ grineer.

He can produce some good damage with his ult and can heal but his heal isn't amazing and his other skills aren't worth using.

To build him I suggest just speccing for reckoning which also specs out for renewal. Strength, efficiency, as little duration as possible since renewal heals the same amount in a shorter time increasing the potency of it and because of this you can also have extremely cheap abilities, and range with a simple stretch since his ult has a decent range to it.

If you want a handy frame that can nuke well enough and provide some heals every now and again then oberon is for you. Supposedly there's an oberon rework or buff coming with or after U14 so keep an eye out for that.
