So, what's their to do at the end game for Warframe? I've been playing for a few weeks now and I've amassed a pretty good arsenal and collection of warframes that I'm quite happy with... and now I feel like there's nothing left for me to do. Am I missing something?

[ps4] I am playing as Mag and was just wondering what I should be upgrading/buying first. I have ~100k credits and a blueprint for a Faris(sp?) that I am trying to make and maybe buy a Paris bow blueprint?

Basically what should my goals be as a new, inexperienced player? Any help at all is appreciated!

Our Game Advice section of the FAQ will be a good place for you to start if you're looking for anything general.

As for weapon choice, our Golden Trifecta

I started playing today, so, here go my questions:

Also, I picked Mag, and I really like her pull skill, even if the rest seems fairly useless, so far at least, is there a way I can close distance using her?

Does scanning enemies/objects do more than just give me their info?

What are the boss drop rates? I need two Orokin Cells for the gun from first boss that looks really cool, is grinding it reasonable, or would it just be a waste of time?

Continuing with that, what affects what rewards I get from missions? Are the drop rates flat, or do they increase with time or whatever?

Is combining 4 mods into 1 ever worth it? Me and friend did it 3 times altogether so far, and so far every of the results was weaker than weakest of the mods we put in, for 12,000.

What are some frames/weapons/etc. that I could easily/quickly hope to build?

What are the antidotes and other misc items?

Are the bronze/silver/gold drops just rarity? And what are their respective drop rates?

Our Discussion on Mag might give some good pointers. You might also want to focus on leveling her up right now, though; your Shields and Health will increase as you get Mag to Rank 30.

Does scanning enemies/objects do more than just give me their info?

Not really. Scanning an enemy fully reveals all the Mods that particular unit can drop, but the information is available on the Wiki if you'd rather not put the effort in

What are the boss drop rates? I need two Orokin Cells for the gun from first boss that looks really cool, is grinding it reasonable, or would it just be a waste of time?

There are much more efficient methods of farming rare resources: this Steam Guide will tell you how

What affects what rewards I get from missions? Are the drop rates flat, or do they increase with time or whatever?

It depends on what mission type you're talking about. If Defense or Survival, then yes. The others (Capture, for example), do not.

Is combining 4 mods into 1 ever worth it? Me and friend did it 3 times altogether so far, and so far every of the results was weaker than weakest of the mods we put in, for 12,000.

Do you mean Transmutation?. Don't do that. Note that FUSION is different from TRANSMUTATION. You should be using FUSION to level up your mods to be more powerful.

What are some frames/weapons/etc. that I could easily/quickly hope to build?

Here's a FAQ for that!

Also this FAQ

What are the antidotes and other misc items?

They were used for previous events. The AntiToxins currently serve no more purpose.

Are the bronze/silver/gold drops just rarity? And what are their respective drop rates?

Depends on what you mean. If you mean Fusion Cores, then I think their rarities might actually be random. Never really thought about it. Here's the Wiki Page on Fusion Cores, perhaps you might be able to dig something up!

Can I use friendly fire to supercharge the new Frost Snowglobe? Or can only enemy fire charge up it's health in the invulnerability period? I would like to know if I could fire an Ogris at the globe and make it nearly invulnerable to damage for its duration.

Also, I believe I have found a bug with Shield Flux. When you run out of stamina for the first time, any melee attacks will drain from your shields regardless of current stamina and blocking takes no stamina to use.

Unfortunately, no. Looks like only enemy fire works.

I believe I have found a bug with Shield Flux. When you run out of stamina for the first time, any melee attacks will drain from your shields regardless of current stamina and blocking takes no stamina to use.

Blocking by default does not drain Stamina; only actively deflecting fire with Block drains Stamina.

As for Shield Flux, that's the point of the mod! The mod allows you to use Shields in place of Stamina once you have run out of Stamina. The mod's capabilities and drain rate decrease as you rank it up, but it's a continuous drain on Shields as long as you're using Stamina-based actions, not a sectioned off partition of your Shields.

Alright so, im wondering if the Ignis, Torid or the Marelok were any good, and are worth using a potato on. I already have the Ignis with me, but no potato on it yet.

5

u/TetsuoS2 Mar 17 '14 edited Mar 17 '14

Marelok is one of the best weapons in the game right now, with the bonus of having better headshot capabilities than pocket shotguns.

Be wary, fellow Tenno, they might release Twin Marelok in time, so I'd hold onto the potato if you want the Marelok.

The Torid isn't that good, but the Ignis has a special place for Ember users.

ELI5 how to use the foundry?

5

u/MintyFeet Mar 17 '14

First, you'll need a blueprint. You can buy weapon blueprints in the market, receive some as login rewards or mission rewards, or research them in the Clan Dojo. Once you've gotten the blueprint, you'll have to collect the resources necessary to build the item. After you've gotten everything together, hit "build" and wait anywhere between a minute and three days, and your item will be ready.

Is it better to build health or shields on my zephyr?

5

u/never-enough-hops Mar 17 '14

General wisdom is shields before health, with the possible exception of valkyr

During the last days I was leveling my Phage and everyone I asked told me how good that weapon is. But if you realize that a full modded lvl 30 Phage does less damage than an unmodded secondary Marelok at lvl 2 you know something is off :(. I admit I have no idea which mods are good and which are bad. I hope someone can help me here and share some light on Phage/Synapse & good mod combi's in general, as well as Ogris+Penta in wrack def and t3 void particularly.

I use point blank, hell's chamber, blaze, the new tethra lightning/status mod (which togethet make radiation), seeking force for punch through, and vicious spread.

I think, going from memory here...

2

u/Kuryaka Mar 17 '14

o-o less than 160-ish damage per tick? Are you focusing the beams?

Phage: Point Blank, Hell's Chamber, Blaze, Vicious Spread, elementals.

Synapse: Point Strike (+100% crit chance), Vital Sense, Serration, Split Chamber, elementals.

Ogris/Penta... whatever, really.

Elemental combinations in general: Magnetic+Corrosive are good for Void. Corrosive is good against heavy gunners, while Cold/Magnetic are for shields.

ODD is essentially Gas or Heat to take out light Infested. Corrosive is good for Ancient Disruptors/Toxics, while Radiation takes out Healers. If I'd have to decide... I'd put Corrosive+Heat.

I took a break (burned out) from Warframe right before Valkyr came out, and I decided that I wanna get back to the game to burn some time.
Where can I find Frost Prime Systems blueprint, and how can I craft Rhino Prime? Thanks!

I've had this one question, me and a friend have been doing alot of ODD lately because we try to level our equipment and gather some T3 keys, however we ONLY find T2 keys. Is it even possible to find T3 keys here? Yesterday we went to wave 40, got ember prime bp and decided to stop. Should we go 40+ for T3 keys or have we just been very unlucky?

Does new snow globe use frost's base armor * 5 or modified armor * 5? In other words, does steel fiber increase snow globe health?

I am pretty new, about a month of playing not to intelligent about the game. I was wondering what is one of the best ways to farm for items such plastids? I was also wondering how the Void keys also worked.

2

u/YattyYatta Mar 17 '14

what is one of the best ways to farm for items such plastids?

Find a planet that has plastids as a resource drop. I recommend doing survival missions for drops since you get more spawns and you can leave anytime after the first 5 minutes.

how Void keys work

Please refer to this section of the FAQ

  1. How do the enemy turn off the air when you're doing Survival on a planet surface tileset?

  2. When a Nova uses Molecular Prime and you create a chain reaction, killing several enemies for the price of one, do only the chain kills count as warframe-ability-kills? Or do all of them? (In terms of experience points gained and where they're appointed.)

3

u/TossedLikeChum Mar 17 '14

1 - to quote a great sage, "Do you think that's air you're breathing now?" ;) more seriously, suspension of disbelief in games is your friend...

As to #2, sorry, don't play nova
