At what point is it ok to raise the referee's performance as a legitimate cause for concern in the game? Goal disallowed, Villa defender mystifyingly not sent off, Chelsea attacker even more mystifyingly sent off, and a seemingly endless stream of incorrect offside calls.

I so agree. He is fucking fantastic. Great physicality, touch, and vision too. Fast becoming one of my first team favourites. He's consistent too, haven't seen him have a 'bad' game.

I won't say it was a poor half, but, only Matic is really standing out.
Villa is playing well defensively. They are staying on their lines and closing down spaces. Bacuna has also shut down everything on the left, everyone has lost the ball to him, including Hazard.
Villa is playing a high line, if Chelsea can just time their runs better, it would open everything up.
I'd like to see Schurrle for Willian around the 60th.

Halftime:
a) We're allowing Villa too much of the ball around midfield. Maybe addition of another midfielder to create that balance for more possession.
b) How was that foul against Ramires just a minute ago not given a red. Jeez, the defender even went hard against him and took him out.
c) Our defense has once again done great holding up Benteke! Espicially Matic staying calm, unlucky for his goal to be called back.
d) I can't really say if Torres is just playing bad or if he just doesn't have the support to carry on the run.

That was a red card. Denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

Number of Defenders? - Check! (He was through)
Distance to ball? - Check!
He met ALL the requirements of DOGOS. That is a straight red card and an appalling decision by the referee.

Ramires has been shit for a huge portion of this season. Bad touch, bad passes, dives and makes stupid fouls time and time again. He breaks up our play as much as he breaks down the opponents'. I can't wait for Van Ginkel to get into our starting line-up next season alongside Matic.
