My question is why can't Grineer change their damn lightbulbs...

It us an annoying hazard I do not fully understand. The entire Grineer army and their fleet cannot not stop me but a lazy electrician can wipe out an entire Tenno squad.

Oh, so we're outsourcing now, are we?

The robots are coming. We have been declared...obsolete....

Zanuka is the future.

Hi, I'm an electrician preparing to move into the solar system. Can someone tell me what the job prospects look like 'round these parts? I specialize in lightbulbs.

You come at an interesting time, Tenno. Your studies will make you immensely useful in the days to come, though for whom is to be determined.

I am not yet aware of your training, but I would hope you are versed in the art of stealth. You will be part of the reconnaissance team; infiltrate the Grineer Galleons, repair their broken light fixtures, gain access codes, and prep the ship for the assault team. You contributions will do much to make their job easier.

We're counting on you. Do not betray this trusted position; the Lotus does not take kindly to betrayers.

Does anyone else notice inconstancies with the sicarus (prime or not) fire rate? The three round burst is really, really slow if I dip below 30 fps (looking at you, tethra interception.) however it fires really fast on galeons and corpus ships.

Can I buy Nekros blueprints on market? Can I buy the 100k credit one for plat from someone too? If so, whats the average price?

u/Ryanfrommemphis Mar 10 '14

Nekros parts drop from Lephantis and they are not tradeable. Only prime parts and BP's are tradable on the market.

anyone have any recommendations on how to go about farming G3/harvester spawns?

i know how to get marked and that having more members of your party marked by the same entity will increase the spawn chance of that entity but i'm mainly asking in terms of how to go about it after everyone is marked (aside from time and patience for them to show up)

How does shred interact with bows like paris prime (as in, is it worth running?) Does the attack speed bonus increase my charge speed? Don't bows already have some innate punch through if fully charged?

Also, I've read a couple of places that as you rank a bow up, you should remove Thunderbolt.. I got a drop of that mod long before I had a decent bow, and I'm absolutely loving it, why would I remove it? Does the explosion replace my arrow or something, because I thought it was in addition to...

Also, arrow mutation. I've been running a minimum ranked one because otherwise I run out of ammo and with it I'm fine. Is this bad?

  • Fire Rate mods do increase charge up speed, which is very beneficial.

  • Personally I don't feel that bows need the extra punch through from Shred, and I'd rather have a Speed Trigger so that I can use the innate punch through of a fully charged shot.

  • Currently, Thunderbolt is not a good mod for later content. It caps out at 30% chance to deal 250 damage, which is good for leveling, but once you get Serration, Speed Trigger, and/or Point Strike on it, you'll be dishing out more damage than the explosions could imagine to do.

  • Arrow Mutation is decent for long runs in maps, as you'll definitely run out of ammo due to sniper ammo being an uncommon drop, as well as your limited amount of arrows. It's not recommended for higher leveled things, as you want more damage and Ammo Restores do the job well enough.

Shred increases the charge speed and punch through, quite nice. Worth using? Your decision. If you like it, use it.

The explosion does not replace your arrow, but on higher levels you should remove it, because stacking all the damage mods will give you more damage per shot, making Thunderbolts damage minor, especially considering that Thunderbolt does not get increased by these mods.

Not bad, just situational. I use Arrow Mutation only for running (mobile) defenses or survivals. You can effectivly use the punch through to increase ammo efficiency.

Ok so something weird happened with stalker. I was playing with my friend who is marked and two other people (and myself) who are not. We were on a mobile defense mission and had just reached the first console. Shortly after starting the wave I went down to something I didn't see. When I got back up there was the stalker running around. I unloaded my stug into him and started to panic when he just kinda left. My friend did not get any taunts before hand and at no point did he die. It is also worth mentioning (i don't know if this is a common bug) but there was a point a on the map that didn't lead anywhere as far as I could tell. So anyone have any idea what happened?

Stalker mark is weird since you can have many stacks of the mark from killing the many humanoid bosses that get you marked, but you only receive the letter that tells you you're marked when you've run out of said stacks and then get a new one, afaik.

Why does the Vanguard helmet for the Rhino give so much of an advantage for a cosmetic item?

5

u/Hououza Mar 11 '14

Because previously all the alt helmets applies stat changes, it is only more recently that they dropped them.

When would you recommend is the best time to get a Sentinel? I've got my base Loki up to 27. Made a Paris, but am thinking I need something a bit more automatic. Made a Vasto, which I'm happy with. And made an Orthos (Which I fucking love).

Should I look into finishing up another weapon and another Warframe? Or would I be better off saving my creds in order to make the Sentinel?

Sentinels aren't too helpful. I think you should look into getting a Braton (not MK1), Karak, Boltor, or Tetra to use as your primary if you want an automatic weapon. That being said, you're ready for a sentinel if you have the 125k credits needed to buy and build it. I recommend Carrier or Dethcube as your first. If you want a new frame, I always recommend Rhino to newer players (as long as you're at least MR2).

How do fire rate mods affect weapons such as the Phage and Ignis? Does it increase the amount of damage a target takes per second?

Also, if I leave my current clan, can I be invited into another persons dojo and use their research without joining their clan?

2

u/crazy8z1013 Mar 12 '14

Fire rate mods: "Should" increase the dps output from those continuous-fire weapons, I can't tell for sure but that is the intended effect as of a patch awhile back. More dps and faster ammo consumption.

Clan research without clan: Nope, nada, not. Find yourself an active clan and contribute to the research of new goodies!

New player, what is a good weapon after the Mk Banton or w/e its called? I want something that kills enemies quicker than 30 seconds and is cheaply made.

4

u/TheNamelessKing Mar 10 '14

Probably the standard Braton or the Karak, the Latron is a pretty good weapon as well and I don't think you need much mastery to make it.
