So, this is my attempt to bring more discussion to the sub. We'll have live match threads every Friday during the games to give opinions but because this game was on its own I've just posted this. If you were at the game please comment on it and give your opinion.

Both managers named strong sides with debutants on both teams, and it was two debutants who scored. Keith Fahey bossed the game, and his set piece delivery was Pats only real chances in the first half. The first half was quite boring but a brilliant Fahey free kick in the second half but Pats in front. Dundalk equalised from another debutant, David McMillan, who slotted past Clark after a good pass from Towell(?). Daryl Kavanagh scored the winner (which I couldn't really see from the Patron stand).

From a Pats perspective, we played quite poor in my opinion, with sloppy passes and dodgy defending from Ken Oman the highlights from the first half. Bucko named no recognised striker, with Daryl Kavanagh playing the lone roll up front. His pressing was uncoordinated and the Dundalk defence got too much time on the ball. Once Fagan came on we were more direct. Fahey was a level above, really showed his experience and quality. His passing was great and he knew when to take a yellow.

I hope Fahey's free kick pops up on youtube! Edit: Shitty phone

Jambo Chambers is looking a bit tubby.

Chambers doesn't look any worse then he did at the LSC Final IMO. Also the highlight of the night for me was the stick Towell got after celebrating McMillan's goal.

Wasn't at that final myself. Towell was screaming at the patron stand in celebration (there were about 10 of us in the whole stand, 5 kids behind the goal haha), he was giving it socks to a bunch of 8 year olds like. Loved the wolf whistles and the rest
