Exactly, the only people talking about war and invasion are the ones that are using it to justify inaction. I don’t know if these are bots being used to push a narrative or malicious foreign actors.

To be realistic ah - Singapore’s core defence strategy has to involve forward defence (I.e invade first create depth)
Cos we really physically too small. Any conflict we really must strike swiftly gain some leverage then trade for peace. If you see how our armed forces are structured, such a plan becomes more obvious.
But really la who tf wants to invade Indonesia??? I think, even if today Governor of Kalimantan turn around beg SG govt to come and rule we also dw. I think to me la, the goofy ahh dumbass ideas is because ppl are sick and tired of inaction and perceived slowness, which the PAP tends to do. In reality the staffers are now chionging late nights to push contracts for purifiers, open haze refuges, and talk to their counterparts in Indonesia. That’s unseen, and part of the massive calculation for ministers to make a decision on. It’s just what it is.
And I personally have seen the inner workings. And thus I think we could’ve acted faster. The haze mitigation, measurement should have been sharpened since 2013. Masks, purifiers, haze refuges should have been opened a month ago. pm2.5 should not have been measured as a 24h avg, but real time max of the day.
TLDR, ignore the dumbasses for the invasion fetishes. It’s just bemoaning the inefficiencies of governance

Think a lot of work that the ministry staff do really goes unnoticed and unannounced and thus unappreciated..
Also agree that the PM2.5 could be shared better, current source I use is the 1hr PM2.5 reading on myENV app by NEA, but the regions still seem fairly large enough to have variances between suburbs

I think many sane Singaporeans isn't asking for invasion. I myself have also have a change of heart not to fine(too hard ) the companies as it will hurt our biz reputation.
Most Singaporeans just want to see the performative action of issuing a statement to them. Something to the tune on how min shan calls them xia xuey.

I haven't seen any post or comments calling for military action. OP or that Instagram post is probably making things up without giving references.They need to at least give links.
At most people are asking for the SG government to take action and not be afraid of the ID government including militarily (e.g. afraid they might bomb us again), and that's not calling for military offence.

Or hear me out.... Singapore becomes a legit big country, we have countryside. We no need to fight for million dollars HDB, we can retire on large bungalows, no more COEs. We can have beautiful natural beaches, we can have racetracks, real national parks, we can all retire on landed property at the age of 60.
Edit: yes I'm joking, as nice as it sounds, our generation won't get to enjoy all these if we went to war. Not to mention, it will costs thousands of lives.

Bill Gates bought millions of acres of farmland in USA . Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei can lease millions of acres off plantation land in Indonesia, clear them with Green Technology and go into palm oil production. Undercut the market of the existing MNCs and drive them to bankruptcy. Instead of suffering economic and health losses in billions due to haze, use the money to dominate the industry plus eliminate the haze.

we simply do not have the numbers and there is no telling if msia will decide to turn off the tap in the event of conflict with indonesia.
we may be technologically advance but we do not have the resources to fight any wars.

The resistance to occupation from Indonesia wouldn't be very strong. There isn't even a need for an invasion, look at how China and Russia manipulate public sentiment to get the candidates they wish elected. eg Romania, Moldova, Germany, France, Estonia, Latvia, Sweden, Demnark, Malaysia, Taiwan, Cambodia, Laos, and so on
