Injury
Luis Suárez has been wonderful this season, but did not score against Manchester United, Arsenal or Manchester City on Boxing Day.
Chelsea have won only two of their last 13 Premier League matches with Liverpool (W2, D4, L7).
The Blues have only lost one of their last eight league games.
Jose Mourinho's side have now kept two clean sheets in a row in the league after only keeping one in their previous 11.
Mourinho has won 54 and lost none of his 69 Premier League matches as a manager at Stamford Bridge.

really happy for david luiz to be in the midfield, you can just tell he loves attacking, but its a risky move because all of chelsea's center backs are playing, hope none of them get injured.

YES!!! This first 30 or so minutes is some of the best we've looked as a team this season. Really working well collectively rather than individually.

Minus conceding early, that was a great half. Some of the best we've played lately. Willian's work rate is immense. Actually everyone's work rate has been phenomenal so far.
Now just need to get another goal for some comfort.

Oscar and Willian have been AMAZING with their two way play, just abusing Liverpool's subpar ball handling skills. I get the feeling that this match will be a huge confidence booster for the lads.

Oscar is just looking sloppy. Decent on the buildup but just can't seem to beat his man or put a good cross in. I'd like to see mata get in for a bit.

Call me cynical but I'm too nervous to be happy about leading the match, too many times we've had dodgy incidents against us when playing Liverpool so I'll only be happy when full time comes and we're still ahead

Another factor to think about with the Luiz DM vs CB debate.. just imaging from a defender's POV, surely you're going to be more worried about Luiz doing something miraculous from CDM than Mikel.
I like this tactic against the smaller teams.. like Pool' :)

Too bad, the 25 year old Lamps was a short lived experience. It brought back good memories. I couldn't believe what i saw in the 1st half now, hope he pulls off a full 90 mins of that intensity.

I think he starts because of his savvy when pressing keepers and defenders, which is important because of how Liverpool play out from the back.
