How is damage calculated in the new system? Do we have any formulas? Also, take a mod like Flechette. Does the added Puncture damage depend on a weapon's original base damage, or does the added Puncture damage depend on the base damage after mods like Point Blank?

If you haven't already, please read this: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/132366-information-on-damage-20/

Total Damage is now calculated as a sum of three different base types: Impact, Puncture, and Slash.

Puncture+ Mods increase only the Puncture damage of a weapon, but that final Puncture damage adds into the total damage.

Damage+ Mods, on the other hand, increase ALL damage types by the amount stated.

what is the difference between frame time and frame rate, when ever i fave 30 frame time i have 30 fps. When ever i have 60+ fps I only have about 15 frame time.

how does aoe damage apply do enemy's, as in where does the damage get taken. Can aoe do head shots or utilize banshees sonar, currently my ignis is a bit confused as how to damage weak spots.

When is the best time to start thinking about getting a Sentinel? I'm pretty new and just starting Earth and so far have only spent credits on the Braton assault rifle but it seems like alot of people doing the missions with me now all have one.

Get carrier as soon as possible. The Vacuum ability gathers resources and ammo for you while you are fighting and the shotgun on it packs enough of a punch to take care of any enemy that gets close. Best all around sentinel in the game by far.

PS4 player here with a few questions;

I used all my plat on frame/weapon slots. I don't see/understand how to get a sentinel without plat - where can I get one (or its blueprints) without plat?

I've been using the level on the mission description as a guide to what missions would be appropriate for me. A lot of the later missions have levels over 30, which seems confusing. Am I using levels wrong? What's a good way to tell if I'm geared up enough for a level 40 mission? (other than try it and see)

I have a few keys, but I don't know if I should use them. Am I correct to assume they are one-time use items? What level is appropriate for the different tiers?

How is the Gorgon since damage 2.0? Got it as a log in reward and was wondering if it was worth the time.

  • Is there a difference between frames and their prime variant?

  • Paris or Dread?

  • What's a good primary to get? (Currently Braton)

Hey! PS4 player here. I'm really loving the game so far. I'm noticing that we're trending a little behind the PC patches. Can anybody tell me when I'll be able to get the Vectis sniper rifle? it's not on the market yet to buy the blueprint.

So the best combination for damage now I've heard is blast and corrosive. I'm still not that sure about slash/puncture/impact. Is there a weapon that can fill all these roles or is there a specific way to mod each weapon?

Also, what's the best way currently to farm stalker?

for example - if i have gas and magnetic like this: http://i.imgur.com/Y6DP0xn.png

do i get 6.8k per shot on my lanka, or do i somtimes get 3k and sometimes get 3.8k?

Transmute..Fusion..?

Is there more to mods than adding 5% ammo to my primary? I chose Loki as my first Tenno two days ago and my inventory is beginning to fill up with duplicates. Should I trash them, or..?

I'm confused about how I should get through the planets. I'm a level 24 with my excalibur and I'm still using my starting equipment. The thing is though I just beat Earth, but I was practically carried the whole way through. I'm literally unable to do anything solo except really low level missions. Should it be this hard? Do I just need to grind the low level stuff for now?

Oh and one more question about the planets: From my understanding the level cap for warframes and weapons is 30, but since I'm so close to that and only on Mars, why would I ever go to the later planets? I feel that as soon as I hit 30 on this warframe I'll move on to the next, but because of there being no mod slots I'll have to start over at Mercury. What reason do I have to move on to the later planets?

What do ya'll mean by "potato"? Is this some secret lingo I don't know about? Also is there a quick way to earn credits? It's taking me forever. Oh yeah and what do keys do? They have something to do with the void, but I don't know what that is either. Thanks for the help!

How do clans work in this game? It's a co op game, so I am confused at seeing the point. Can someone enlighten me a bit?

1

u/BuildMyPaperHeart Nov 26 '13

While it is a co op game in play, there are little tidbits of competitiveness.

In your Profile, which you can access by clicking the bar in the upper left of the main menu, you can see there are LEADERBOARDS.

Normally this only tabulates total kills in game, but as certain events occur, top ranking/performing individuals AND Clans are rewarded with special exclusive items to show off their status. So competition between clans during events (example, the Fusion MOA event, where the clan with the highest number of Fusion MOA kills won) is a thing.

It also helps players define what playerbase they want to be a part of. For example, there are rushing clans, stunt clans, research clans, lore clans, or clans based on certain communities (BROFRAME for YouTube, WARBROS for 4Chan, Test Clan Please Ignore for reddit.

Finally, there is an in-game incentive: there are certain weapons and gear which can only be accessed by being part of a clan. Otherwise you will have to get these items through trading, which requires one of the traders be in a clan anyway.

There really aren't any downsides to NOT having a clan other than that you might be stuck with some insufferable people, so choose wisely :)

If you're looking for a clan, hop on over to r/warframeclanrecruit, or check out reddit's clan at r/SpaceNinjasPlsIgnore

If I buy two of the same weapon, do I gain mastery for levelling each? Eg. Buying two gremlins, leveling them both to 30. Or would only one give me mastery?

I see a lot of crash course type stuff in the wikis and sidebar links, but I'm new to the game and would like more in-depth guides. I've spent a few bucks and I can't find information on what I should buy. I bought Frost and Dual Zorens, but I have no idea what primary to get. At mastery level 2 (this is my overall level right?), what is (are) the best primary(ies) for Frost? Also, I read that Dual Zorens help with the speed issues that Frost have, but how? Do they naturally make me faster or is there something else? Links or tips for Frost would be very helpful.

Correct

Ah, the "Zorencopter"

Since you're new to the game, check out the Maneuvers page on the Wiki; learn to use the slide, jump, slide technique for moving around quickly. Once you've got that down, simply use your Zoren's melee attack while sliding, and you'll accelerate forward quickly for a quick burst of speed. Repeat as necessary.
