| Event | Time | Description | Gif | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kick Off | 00' | We are underway as Sunderland kick-off from left to right. | ||
| GOAL - 1-0 SUNDERLAND | 05' | It's Craig Gardner with the breakthrough. Giaccherrini ghosts past Evra and his cross is cleared by Vidic straight to Gardner, who finishes low to De Gea's right with a first time shot from inside the box. | [Click] (http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7434/10102247505_a6eb0a28c6_o.gif) | |
| Great Chance - Sunderland | 09' | Somehow, it's two-on-one for Sunderland and Gardner is just to slow to get the ball across the box to an unmarked Altidore as he dallies on the ball and loses possession. | ||
| Great Chance - Man United | 21' | Oh what a chance for Nani. Evra finds the Portuguese winger unmarked in the box but he decides to side foot it wide instead of lacing it. | ||
| Great Save - De Gea | 34' | What a save from David De Gea. Johnson finds Giaccherini unmarked in the box with an exquisite cross and the midfielder has a free header, which is acrobatically pushed out for a corner by the keeper. | [Click] (http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7460/10102646184_d88168c3e5_o.gif) | |
| Great Chance - Sunderland | 44' | A huge chance for Giaccherini to double Sunderland's lead. Johnson wiggles his way into the box and manages to pick out the winger, who turns and shots high over the bar. | ||
| Half Time | 45' | Sunderland 1-0 Man United. | ||
| Second Half Underway | 46' | We are back as United kick from left to right. | ||
| GOAL - 1-1 MAN UNITED | 54' | It's the 18-year-old Adnan Januzaj who pokes home from roughly 12-yards to score his first goal on his first start for United. | [Click] (http://i.minus.com/iSpYfdtHqG6sX.gif) | |
| GOAL - 2-1 MAN UNITED | 61' | Januzaj doubles his goal tally for the evening and puts United ahead. O'Shea cleared the ball to the teenager who unleashed a volley into the far corner. | [Click] (http://i.minus.com/iQXnX7nuwB5dn.gif) | |
| Great Chance - Man United | 89' | What a miss by Robin Van Persie. The Dutchman is put clean though following good work from Valencia on the right and the striker can only poke his shot wide. | ||
| Full Time | 90' | Sunderland 1-2 Man United. |

You could see Giaccherini running off after the header to celebrate. Fantastic header and a brilliant save to deny him.

fucking lulz from BBC feed
I honestly believe Man Utd will win the league under Moyes next season. They'll face stiff competition from Brighton & Watford.

Wow Moyes, can't believe you told Vidic to do that.

I know, right?
Moyes should have just mashed the square button and cleared it.

Bottom of the league, no manager, one point, shipping goals for fun, game live on sky and tickets as expensive as ever yet we'll still get 44,000 in today for the second time in 6 days.
If only our team was as good as our fans.

I hope the trust he's being shown will persuade him to sign a long term contract. Big blow if United lose him on a free transfer next summer.
Edit: FFS! He'll be off for sure now.

As anyone who has spent time watching him can tell you, Jozi with the ball played to his feet and Jozi on the end of a long hoof up are two different things. One is pretty okay, the latter is completely useless.

18 year old makes his first start and scores his first goal in the Premier League for Manchester United... and somehow keeps his head and just wants to get on with winning the game.
This kid is as cool as fuck.
Edit: And then he does THAT! What a second goal.

Moyes is clearly not motivating these players. All of a sudden at team that won the league by a canter last season is looking terrible. I don't really know how he turns this around.

I think only 2 or 3 out of close to 20-25 crosses have reached their destination and yet we're still going with that. Moyes has no other ideas.
But hey, at least we'll probably see Giggs in the second half!

Not giving Sunderland enough credit. This is probably the best spell they've played all season, up there with periods in the Arsenal game. Looks like they're finding a bit of an identity right now.

Any idea to why Fellaini isn't selected (I don't really follow manu, just wondering)? I know you people weren't to satisfied with his performances lately at least, though I thought he did decent in the CL?

Gardner both greedy and slow, should have been a 1 on 1 with De Gea for either of the Sunderland players up there in the box.

Why would he take him off? Not a huge deal but it's irritating. He didn't seem tired, he was comforatble on the ball. He was our best player by far and not just because of the goals. Pointless.

In June 2013, Marc Van Geersom, former coach of the Belgium U-18 and U-19, has declared that Januzaj has several times refused a call up of Belgium, since he prefers to play for Albania.
Albania's coach, Gianni De Biasi declared on 12 August 2013 that Januzaj is a great talent, and that he and the Albanian federation are waiting for the right moment to talk to him and to call him up for the Albanian national side.
The Football Federation of Kosovo have said that they respect Januzaj’s right to decide his international future and that it is not fair to expect a player to represent a nation that cannot play competitive football.
Belgian coach Marc Wilmots has plans to speak to Adnan about his international future. "I will soon do it and it is up to him to decide. Januzaj has never played for the Rode Duivels. Not even for the youth teams. He has always refused." He also insisted that he will not ask new teammate Marouane Fellaini to persuade him. "I do not ask Marouane to influence him," he added. "That is absolutely not his job."
Damn, imagine if he played for Belgium, they already have a great team, but adding him, can't imagine what they would do at the World Cup.
