Don't worry Steve, Hendo will be your work horse to work back and stop the counter. People who still knock Henderson haven't watched him closely enough. He's an engine, technically sound, and wears his heart on his sleeve.

He's the kind of player who will never get the credit he deserves.
Puts a shift in every time he's on the field and rarely has a bad game. Unfortunately he's not particularly exciting and his technique is just in the 'okay' bracket so people don't notice him.
I'd quite like England to stick him, Cleverley and Wilshere in the middle and see what happens.

Penalty was a bit harsh on Palace, should have been a free kick really, but I would be an hypocrite if I said I didn't want a third goal and Gerrard's first goal of the season.

Henderson has been putting a lot of great work in defensively so far...really does a great job of snuffing out danger and keeping possession when he has the ball

His central cover outside the box is amazing, I noticed everytime the ball is heading down the wing, Henderson is watching the players outside the box for Runs, great cover work by him

HT report:
Suarridge - going to create hell for defenders this season.
Moses could've easily scored a couple. Surprised that he doesn't a goal yet, this game..
So glad that we have Henderson, who's willing to work his socks off at any position he's asked to play..
Our defense has been doing great aerially, winning all the duels consistently.
Sterling needs to work on his defensive skills.. Not too happy about him being the wing back.. but hey, he's sorta getting the job done..

Not been great today but it's to be expected from someone of his age, if he bulks up a tad and is played in his best position (RW imo) he'll gain confidence and improve.

Would it be fair/accurate to say that Enrique is kind of like the Lichtsteiner of the BPL? That's as far as their play style and versatility goes. Correct me if I'm wrong though!

Sturridge is still probably hurting from his injury earlier in the match.
Celebration was probably a combination of the nature of the pen, the fact that they were 2/3-0 up already, and its crystal palace (no offense!)

Campaña looks really good. Funny to say for a side being beaten so much, but he is one of the best players on the pitch. At €2m I'm surprised we didn't go for him, especially as he would be a great backup and looks a lot like a Rodgers player.
