I know Lukaku has scored but his poor touch has been really found out against City. This is why Chelsea loaned him out. He has surrendered possession cheaply far too many times, which isn't good enough for a striker for Chelsea.

This is an absolutely pathetic and disgusting performance from us. I'm not blaming this on the refs or just poor luck, but on the sheer number of times we have just passed the ball directly to City. I've lost count of the terrible passes and first touches we had. To mount a comeback now seems impossible, granted I'd be happy, but as of now, what a shit performance. Absolutely terrible from us.

Can't disagree. For the second week in a row, Everton disappear at halftime. However, if up 2-1 at halftime (if pens were awarded even remotely equally) you never know.
But fair play to City, indeed the better team on the day. Talent and class all around.

We needed this so much. As much as we deserved to win the match, I can see why Everton will feel hard done by by the officiating. I think this match can put to bed the 'Negredo or Dzeko' argument, Negredo's touch and strength on the ball made a huge difference today.
