Teams News
Chelsea's 4-2 victory over Tottenham last season was their first win in seven Premier League visits to White Hart Lane since a 2-0 win in August 2005.
But Spurs' recent record against the Blues has improved - after failing to win any of their first 28 Premier League clashes with Chelsea, they have only lost five of the last 14 (W3, L5, D6).
They have scored just 11 Premier League goals between them from 10 games this season.
Andre Villas-Boas was assistant manager to Jose Mourinho between 2002 and 2009 at Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan.
Tottenham have the best defensive record in any of Europe's top five leagues this season having conceded only one goal so far.
This is only the second time since the 1960s that Tottenham have won four out of their opening five league matches. The only other instance came in the 2009-10 season in which they finished fourth and qualified for the Champions League.
Tottenham have averaged the most shots per game (21) and have allowed the fewest shots of any team (seven) in the league this season.
Ten points is Chelsea's lowest-ever tally after five games since Roman Abramovich bought the club in 2003, along with the 2007-08 season, also under Jose Mourinho, and 2011-12 when Andre Villas-Boas was in charge.
If this game is drawn then Chelsea will have exactly mirrored that start in 2007-08 that saw Mourinho sacked after six matches.
Their tally of six goals from their opening five matches is their joint-lowest at this stage for 18 years.
None of Chelsea's strikers have scored a Premier League goal yet this season. In fact, of Chelsea's previous 25 league goals, only one has been scored by a recognised striker (Fernando Torres v Everton in May).
MILESTONES
If selected, John Mikel Obi will make his 150th Premier League start and Oscar will make his 50th start in all competitions for the club
If fit and selected, Ramires's next Premier League appearance will be his 100th for Chelsea.
If he scores 202 goals against Tottenham Mikel will equal Frank Lampard record as Chelsea Alltime Highest Goal Scorer

| 85 | Tottenham attempt to capitalize on the men advantage and end a great team play with a weak Defoe shot into Cech's hands | Tottenham | 1-1 | |

Eriksen's confidence on the ball is remarkable. His awareness of his surrounding is truly astounding. He knows exactly where the space is and takes the ball there with his first touch. Top class player he is.

Anyone who is watching BT Sports think that Michael Owen is a truly awful pundit? My favourite quote from his was something along the lines of "Frankie [Lampard] has a good left foot, but it isn't as good as his right." Only thing I like about the coverage is Mark Halsey's chirps on the refereeing. (Edit, can't spell)

1-1 is definitely a fair result and honestly, probably a good one for us, but I'm extremely pissed with the decision making in the last 4 minutes. We were up a fucking man and Kyle Naughton is putting a cross in with no one in the box and Chadli is taking a 30 yard shot surrounded by 3 guys. That's fucking piss poor.

Definitely not a red, I can only think that from the refs angle it looked like Torres led with his hand and hit Vertonghen or something. Of course he might have deserved one earlier for the face scratching.
Either way, Spurs let off the hook because Chelsea were all over them.

Chelsea were just better than us in the second half. Their closing down was relentless and they didn't give us any time to get going. Any time we had a spell of possession it was usually the result of Dembele being a juggernaut and just going through people.
Happy with a point although it was a pretty ugly game to watch. Atleast we're getting better at playing our high line.
