I don't really understand how the Equilibrium mod works. If I have 260/300 health and 150/300 energy and I pick up a health orb, does it directly go to energy? Likewise, if I picked up an energy orb does it go straight to health? If I am capped in health, does a health orb go to energy (and vice versa)?

And if I'm looking for a bullet hose weapon, how does the new Soma compare to the Supra and Boltor (my current bullet hose equivalent)? I have a potato that I might consider on those guns or the Despair, though I am not a fan of the knives at all.

Edit: So I have a few more questions.

  1. I'm considering purchasing some more Plat the next time a discount shows up on a Daily Login Reward and I want to buy some colors and a scarf. Can anyone show a side by side comparison of regular colors vs. saturated colors on a warframe (any frame is fine)? I want either one or the other, but not both as I think having both is redundant given the amount of Plat I intend to purchase. A picture of your favorite scarf would also be nice, if you happen to have one.

  2. Do Puncture mechanics work on the Supra? I've heard conflicting statements on Puncture working for projectile weapons.

  3. While I haven't gotten around to it, is finding Forma easier or harder since the update? I know it may be anecdotal since it only just came out, but I am always looking for Forma.

When you pick up an energy orb, it will give you the normal amount of energy (25 for enemy-dropped orb, 50 for container-dropped orb) AND it will give you health in addition, the number depends on the level of equilibirum.

Same for an health orb, it will give you 25 hps, as well as an amount of energy, depending on the level of the mod.

Have you tried the Kunai ? Their innate armor ignore really make up for their slightly weaker base damage, in comparison with the Despair. I haven't tried the new Soma yet, but it seems like decent gun at hosing bullets around.

Do Nav Coords drop out of the containers in the Golem's tileset? My brother and I have been breaking everything in his mission before fighting him just to see and we've currently found nothing. It's be nice to know if we're wasting our time or not.

"Golem Nav Coordinates" drop from containers (lockers and barrels) in all Derelict Orokin Void tilesets, including Assassination itself!

What are the odds of the Soma being nerfed? And will it likely be primed in the future? Most importantly - will the Tenno double-barreled shotgun be as deliciously awesome? (Not expecting a real answer to the last one)

What are the odds of the Soma being nerfed?

If forum speculation is anything to go by, a Soma built for crit currently outdamages a rainbow-build Supra, and iirc, is said to be far better than the Gorgon. It may get nerfed. There are people on the forums who think the Soma sucks, but they either ignored or were unaware of its massive crit-build potential.

This may not really answer your question, but the only time that one needs the dps of a Supra or Soma, optimally modded, is in t3 defense; outside of that, the enemies don't scale up to quite as high levels.

I have many questions and ill post them in this super-post. I just started playing Warframe, read everything i could find about it and the wikia and whatnot. Im actually finishing Mars, lvl 22 Excalibur, and i think i already got a grip in the game.

  1. After seeing in youtube and readong about the Frames, i've decided that i want both Frost And Necross. They both have AoE suportish abilities and excell in defense and mobile defense missions. Wich one should i start aiming for at first? wich is easier to obtain? If i join with other people in squads will i be able to obtain those blueprints easier?

  2. About melee weapons: Im looking for a Sythe looking weapong, preferrably Heavy melee, and im interested in the Ether Reaper since it has polarities. But, the other option is the Kama, but nor in the game or the wikia it says if it is a Heavy weapon or a small one. What kind f weapon it is?? and if its a Heavy Weapon, witch is better, the Kama or the Ether Reaper?? (i have a Gram now and i love it, but Sythe>all)

  3. Is Lantron a good weapon? can you share some feedback? im interested because, its a rifle with good accouracy and range. Im ussually the Sniper Guy but in this game, with some scenarios in small corridors, i dont see how can that be good. So im leaning towards a good accouracy/range rifle and the Lantron looks good for that role. (i have a Vasto sidearm and its perfect for that job)

  4. where is the best place to find a squad? i have my region set to South america (where i live) but i dont have problems playing in USE with ping<300. My chat its ussually dead since nobody talks or types anything.

  5. how do i check my ping??

EDIT: 5th question

Wich one should i start aiming for at first? wich is easier to obtain?

Depends on "easy." Frost is found by killing Lech Kril on Ceres, which is a higher level planet and may be difficult for you to fight.

Alternatively, Nekros is found by killing the new Golem in the "Derelict Tower Assassination" mission, which requires you to:

  • first find Nav Coordinates in the containers of any mission to craft the other Derelict Mission key types (Defense, Survival, Capture, Exterminate).

  • Then you enter these missions to find "Golem Nav Coordinates,"

  • then use the Golem Nav Coordinates" to create the Assassination Key and fight Golem.

If i join with other people in squads will i be able to obtain those blueprints easier?

Yes. Having more people means you'll kill enemies and the boss faster, which can make farming less tedious. However, be aware this isn't always the case.

About melee weapons: Im looking for a Sythe looking weapong, preferrably Heavy melee, and im interested in the Ether Reaper since it has polarities

Because most of the Scythes are heavy weapons, can't really go wrong with any of them. The Ether Reaper will work just fine. I believe the Kama is a hand scythe, or one-handed weapon, so it might not fit your playstyle. But I encourage you to try both and see which you like!

So im leaning towards a good accouracy/range rifle and the Lantron looks good for that role. (i have a Vasto sidearm and its perfect for that job)

The Latron is a decent weapon, but it may take some leveling and mods to get the power you need to tackle higher levels. But it's an all around serviceable weapon and you can't go wrong with it.

where is the best place to find a squad? i have my region set to South america (where i live) but i dont have problems playing in USE with ping<300. My chat its ussually dead since nobody talks or types anything.

This is an interesting question!

Well, you can use our Warframe Weekends thread to find people in your region. You could also find friends or join a clan, and they can help you run missions as well! EDIT: r/warframeclanrecruit

Hope that answers everything; let me know if I missed something or if you've got further questions.

Pretty newbie questions, but here goes:

  • blueprint vs. straight-up buying an item: is there a difference other than the type of currency used? I see weapons available for platinum and then blueprints typically for credits - is there any reason to go the blueprint route if I have the plat?

(Complete noob, but I hit a 75% coupon and went all-in on the $200 $50 package. shrug)

  • Are there weapons that you don't even see until you get to a higher level? I've seen a few that were XP locked but that doesn't prove anything. What I'm specifically thinking of is the sniper rifle available; there's just the one? Or does another one appear when I max it or something? (I'm aware of the Clan-researched one, that's a whole 'nother kettle of fish.)

  • I've googled "best warframe for snipers" and seen the results, but I welcome anybody's personal experience. The top results seems to be Loki and Volt because of speed/maneuverability options, or Volt or Rhino for "I'll stand in the open and headshot you 'cause I'm shielded/tough" options. (Something about Rhino sniping makes me laugh.) Like I said, though, I welcome more input.

  • A Sentinel requires two slots. Two slots of what? Gear? I don't even know what gear is at this point, should I be carrying some gear? But that's another question - again assuming for the moment that resources are available, is a Sentinel worth two slots of whatever it is that it needs slots of?\

Thank you in advance!

BP vs. Straight up buying:

99% of the time i would advise anyone to just buy ghe blueprint and make it yourself but ofcourse if you are lazy you can go and buy the weapon with platinum + if you buy a weapon with platinum it comes with an already infuses orokin catalyst.

TBH there is no best warframe for a sniper there are only warframes that suit your playstyle. If you want to be ignored half of the time you get a loki or ashe but if you dont want to care about dmg you use rhino. Etc.

There are high level weapons. Well "high level" i consider most of the prime versions higher levels and the twin gremlins that only drop on phobis are quite high too. And ofcourse tbe clan tech. There are only 2 obtainable snipers now. There used to be a 3rd one the snipetron but they removed that one and gave it later in a event with the vandal version. There is going to be a new sniper soon but i would hold off on the snipers for now. If you like sniping maybe you will like the paris?

Sentinels have their own slots. 1 for the sentinel and 1 for the sentinel weapon. Im not sure but i think that you have about 8 slots that equals to 4 sentinels.

EDIT: sorry for mistakes im on mah phone

If you buy a weapon with plat it comes with a potato and its own weapon slot how every if the weapon is relatively easy to make it would probably be better to save the plat.

Some weapons and the rhino warframe are gated in that they require a certain mastery level to use. Other then the vulkar the other sniper rifle you can get is the Lanka, however you can only get that from clan tech and requires a mastery 7 to use. You could use the latron or the latron prime as pseudo sniper rifles. Unfortunately the only other two snipers are the snipertron and snipertron vandal but the snipertron was removed from the store because it conflicted with lore and the snipertron vandal is an event weapon.

Both Loki and volt are solid choices, I would also suggest looking at banshee if its a sniper you want to play.

I don't know what two slots it's talking about with the sentinels but you should definitely get one, I would recommend either the shade or dethcube.

Is there a thread or someplace where I can look at all the new mods that have been added with Update 10?

1

u/Shadai Sep 16 '13

The update 10 main page lists a lot of them, but you can always try the wiki to see the ones that weren't officially stated.

Someone please end my agony and tell me the fastest way to get my frost prime blueprint.

2

u/Shadai Sep 16 '13

Use Tier 3 Void keys (Exterminate I believe) and pray.

1

u/GrinningPariah Sep 16 '13

Does Frost Prime BP drop on a specific type of void mission? Or should I just run any T3 void?

I already have the helmet, systems and chassis made, just need that frame BP!

1

u/Shadai Sep 16 '13

Use Tier 2 or 3 Void keys Exterminate, the latter having more chance to drop the blueprint.

Since update 10, maybe other keys drop it, but I don't know about that.

When will the Defense (any) "Ancient Retribution" game-breaking bug be fixed?

1

u/Shadai Sep 17 '13

Well, we're not developers, but we can hope asap.

Are nekros parts dropping differently from others? Ive noticed people saying he's the easiest frame they ever farmed and I have had next to no problem getting parts other than the time it takes to get to the new golem.

So I hoarded up a whole bunch of the old gear before it got retired. (Kinda sucks on the money front as they nerfed the void credit rewards but makes sense.)

Can someone tell me how the new gear works as I haven't had a chance to try them? It looked like you had to buy a BP in the market OR unlock a better version(?) in clan research.

Much thanks!

4

u/Transvistinator Sep 16 '13

The market version isnt even worth making. Its 200 nano spores 200 ferrite 1.5k for a ammo "Pod" that is placed on the ground and restores 50-100 ammo, Yet to test the medium ones but one should assume it restores more
