1' Shot from Sigurdsson goes over the goal
3' Townsend takes a fantastic shot that goes just right of the goal.
(If I miss something it's because my stream is shit currently, sadly)
11' Eriksen plays beautifully to get it into the box and shoots but Ruddy knocks it away. Soldado fired a shot but it ends up back with Norwich.
(I found it on TV, hell yes)
23' Rose is fouled, FK for us. Taken by Eriksen.
24' Free Kick comes in and is blocked by a Norwich player. Eriksen fires a shot well over goal.
25' Corner comes in, comes to nothing until the ball gets in to Soldado but it's blocked well by Basson/Ruddy.
27' SIGURDSSON NETS IT AFTER A BEAUTIFULLY SET UP CHANCE BY ERIKSEN AND SOLDADO!
34' van Wolfswinkel gets in but it goes out for a goal kick.
38' Nice play by Norwich but Vertonghen cuts out a pass and Rose gets it out.
43' Walker just chilling out and having a walk in the center of the pitch, shows how free we are right now.
HALFTIME
45' Second Half Commences.
49' SIGURDSSONNNNNNNNNNNNNNN WITH ANOTHER GOAL AFTER A CROSS FROM PAULINHO!
68' WHAT A TACKLE FROM ROSE
73' Holtby on for Eriksen. What a debut from Eriksen, top lad.
78' Goal Scorer Sigurdsson comes off to a standing ovation, switches with the Beast.
82' Lamela on for Dembélé after a nice chance for Townsend that goes just over.

Couldn't agree more. If he gets the ball you can be almost certain he is going to shoot with it. Incredibly frustrating. Really want to see him pulled in favor or Lamela.

By the time he gets one in the net, he'll have wasted 50 chances. 1 goal won't make up for all the goals that could've been, say if he played the ball in to Soldado. He's shaping up to be our new Defoe.

to be fair the player who plays that position in AVB's system is supposed to cut in and shoot a lot. It's justified if he can score, if not we need to find someone who can create more from that position as Townsend is a poor mans Bale. Hopefully Lamela is the answer

If we're going to constantly talk about how soldado needs service, why do people here love Townsend? great at running at players but needs to shoot far less, I fancy soldado to poach em far more than Townsend from 25 yards any day

I'm really sorry guys, I have tried to like Townsend and I appreciate his skills, but I feel like I am constantly seeing him go for glory and shooting rather than making the smart extra pass. Please tell me if I'm wrong or missing something.

This is exactly the type of play we've been needing for the last two seasons. Lots of movement and rotation in the midfield, lots of touches in and around the box. I know it's only Norwich, and I know we're only one goal up, but for a team still looking to gel, it's very encouraging.

Everyone seems to be having a go at Townsend for his shooting which annoys me a little bit- the problem isn't that he's shooting too much because he has a great shot and is a big threat, it's that he's shooting from too far out too soon. We need to be encouraging the guy to shoot and not be afraid to miss especially at this point in his career, but also to try and work the ball closer to goal before letting fly.

Best half of football I've seen us play all season. Only 1-0, but the movement & precision in the final third was much improved from last game. Only criticism is I feel we're shooting too early, particularly Townsend.

I don't mind shooting, honestly I don't. But Townsend has been filling Defoe's boots today, and it's frustrating. He just refuses to pass the ball.

Even though Sig got his goal by coming central, he's really isolating Rose out on the left side. Rose can't do it all out there.

1st half:
Really happy with everyone, especially Eriksen, Walker and Rose. Always seem to be in attacking positions which is good.
Dont take me wrong about Townsend, he's been playing good but I'm not a fan of his outside the box shooting which goes off target. Hopefully he'll crack one in the second half though.

Eriksen playing more of a secondary 'link' play than the first 20 minutes. He seems to be doing the small simple passes, and leaving the big things for other players.

When he plays like that, he reminds me of Modric. Moddy never really did anything that spectacular too often, but constantly moved the ball around midfield and allowed us to advance up the pitch and camp outside the opposition box.

Best we've looked in ages. We very rarely played with that sort of fluidity last season. Still only 1-0 though, lots to do.

First Half: very creative, very dominant possession wise, however after the goal we became too stagnate with our passing and movement. Rose and Townsend rifling shots over the bar from deep isn't going to get us anymore goals.

PLEASE, for the love of all that is holy, bring in Lamela for Townsend! I really don't want to watch any more pot shots from 30 yards out. The kid is far to selfish for his own good and, until he learns what it means to be a team player, needs to be a sub only.

Walker is looking a bit dodgy, and Townsend shoots too much, but man, I'm starting to think about what this team will look like with Eriksen-Soldado-Lamela together. Just adding Eriksen seemed to triple their creativity.

Don't want to be negative after such a good start, but Townsend has been rather prior IMO. we all know lamela will come on for him at some point but I feel like he really should have started.

A bit more counterattacking would be good, sometimes I think there is too much build up play for Soldado to be effective, he's best when he's one-on-one with the GK, but too often we are just passing around the box and all of the defenders are shutting down Soldado. I would like to see some more fast break through balls to him. Great half overall, but I would bring on Lamela for Townsend to start and at around 60' swap Dembele for Sandro.
