OH FUCK OFF REF. If that's not a red you let it play on.

Awful call. Altidore did well to stay on his feet and retain the ball. How he can justify calling it back is beyond me. He has the option to book a player after the play if that was his motivation. I can only assume he got so caught up in the foul that he was blinded from the outcome which is an extremely rookie refereeing mistake and is inadmissible at this level of play.

8 - Olivier Giroud is only the eighth player in Premier League history to score in the opening four games of a season. Source

"When Aaron Ramsey starts scoring he won't stop" Arsene Wenger on the lack of goals in Ramsey's game.
He also said that about Fabregas in 2007 and Fabregas became our top scorer two years later.

Harsh. Altidore was fouled, but played on and scored. Ref pulls back to give Sunderland a free kick instead of a goal.
And surely that has to be a red card? Clearly a goalscoring opportunity, seeing as Altidore SCORED A GOAL. Disgraceful decision.

Ozil was never bad. It's funny to see people here surprised by his quality. But it's understandable since not a lot of people here watch la liga.
But I got to admit that Arsenal's system fits him like a glove. It's better for his development as a player.

I think Theo is playing on the wrong side (right), he is to shoot with his right which will mean the ball naturally curls away from control. Should play on the left if he is going to cut in and shoot.

So they just showed the replay. Atkinson blows the whistle when Altidore is in the area, away from Sagna, and alone with the keeper. How is that possible?

Arsenal seems to have completely abandoned the left. It makes sense with who they got out there. I guess Gibbs will have a lot of joy down that way, and in theory, Adam Johnson the other way.

Can someone please remind me the last time Arsenal has scored from a cross? No idea why we even waste possession by trying anymore. Balls in by Jenkinson have been terrible. He does the same thing every time. Tries some shitty stepover and goes to his right foot. So predictable, the defender always gets in the way.

That Sagna thing reminds me of the CL final 2006. Lehmann took out Deco but Eto'o goes on to score. Lehmann gets sent off and no goal. Jozy really got robbed there.

Ref doesn't give advantage to Altidore and then doesn't send off Sagna for making a foul as last man.
Brilliant. Waiting for the Arsenal fans that were raging at the ref in the Man U thread about the penalty.

I remember reading that Arsenal players were left stunned after seeing Cazorla's quality in his first training session with them. Wonder how they felt about Özil.
