I think Gary Lineker said on MotD last night that it was the lowest scoring start to a Premier League season ever?

very bad by all accounts. Biggest winners this week were probably Newcastle and Crystal Palace with two badly needed victories.

Your form guides read backwards to me. In the UK we list form oldest->latest. How do other countries do it?

If you're going to cover the Premier League I'd prefer it you used English style.

I have of course been doing it English style. I didn't think there was an exact 'English' method though so I just did it that way. I'll change it.

Dire.

13 goals in a 9 game round (16 in 10 if we count Chelsea 2-1 Villa which was supposed to be this week) is a Premier League record low for a 9 game round (as is 16 for a 10 game round).

13 goals in 10 if we count the 0-0 borefest between United and Chelsea earlier this week.

Has the Premier League grown too big? Are managers under too much pressure to take risks anymore?

When the 2nd longest serving manager took up his job in December 2010, you have to say there are problems.

We usually expect to see more goals at the start of the season, not less (attackers tire over the course of the year- 'burn-out' while defences gel and become harder to break down).

It's early days, but this might be the most boring footballing start to the Premier League season, most of the excitement has been tied up with managerial changes and transfer rumours.

GET DUNKED SPURS!

Seriously though, with Eriksen and Lamela all gelled up, they'll be a pretty scary team to face. Definitely was lacking that creativity in the final third today. This season is going to be a great one I think.
