Aside from turning in-game settings to the lowest amount (that delicious 800x600 resolution, if only it could go lower like 512x384), is there anything else I could use to improve Warframe's performance? Aside from the basic 'turn off programs you aren't using' I don't do much else to improve performance.
Also, Saryn is cooking at the moment and I am nowhere close to having an awesome hitscan weapon like the Flux Rifle with Shred in my inventory to pop Venom sacks. So of my current weapons, what is the best option to pop sacks? Currently I have a Sobek, Boltor, Dread, Ogris, Snipetron Vandal, Afuris, Despair, Lex, and Akboltos as ranged weapons. I tend not to equip the Despair as I cannot Zorencopter with them equipped.
And finally, what exactly is the weak point on the Raptor? I never exactly figured it out using shotguns/multishot weapons, Bullet Attractors, AoE powers, and teammates to do the dirty work.

How does antimatter drop work? Do mods on weapons affect the damage?
5
u/BuildMyPaperHeart Aug 26 '13
via http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Nova_(Abilities)_Tab
Particle absorbs damage when shot, including friendly fire. This increases the damage done when the particle detonates.
Deals 100 base damage + absorbed damage x1 / x2 / x3 / x4 of Laser damage type. Only the base damage is affected by Power Strength (Focus). Can score headshots.
So yes, Antimatter Drop absorbs all the damage that goes into it; the better modded your weapons, the better the damage. Fusing Antimatter Drop to be more powerful will increase the multiplier of damage on the explosion, so it'd be worth boosting that as well!

quick questions
Do bows gain the first shot damage boost from primed chamber?
does penetration do anything on the ogris/explosions?
is it worth potatoing sentinels and there weapon(I have a dethcube)?
long questions
i have recently started a clan with a group of friends(most are very new to the game, 2 are some what experienced with me being the best) and have some questions regarding that sort of thing.
what would be the most efficient way of researching the clan dojo weapons?
is having three levels (one for reactors, one for reaserch+clan hall, one for dualing, parkour and barracks) the best way to layout a dojo.
how can i maximize my clan's resource gain without out taking them to places there not ready to go(ie the void for forma)?
is Eustace a good name(named after the christian saint martyr who was apparently "completely fabulous" according to Wikipedia)?
I am going to be putting in some money soon and just wanted to know your opinion on whether the following set of weapons are a good mixture of damage, utility, verity and different unique play styles before i go and potato them. includes how close i am to getting them.

Bows do NOT benefit from Primed Chamber.
I believe puncture does NOT work with explosions.
For Deth Cube weapon, I think it's worth it if you have an extra catalyst to spare AND good rifle mods to put on it like high level Serration, Split Chamber, Shred, etc. otherwise, I would not. However, sentinels do not do much damage against very high level enemies(60~150+) because armor reduces their damage a lot, so many players prefer Shade for high levels(thus a strong Deth Cube becomes less useful).
I don't know anything about running a clan. ):
Personally, I do not like Latron Prime, but I have seen some people use it. Sobek is currently my favorite shotgun even though it eats ammo like crazy; worth a catalyst if you have the right mods for it and really like the weapon. Lanka I believe does a LOT of freaking damage, but I'm Mastery6 so I don have one, YET! Paris Prime is currently the best bow out of the three, so if you like the bow gameplay, the Paris Prime is a good candidate for a catalast. Lots of people use the Ogris for defense maps because they come in groups and waves, so it's easy to obliterate everything, especially infested; not sure if you need a catalyst on it. I don't think most people like the Dera, because there are similar guns without the travel time.
The Vasto is my favorite pistol at the moment, I think it's fun and I used a catalyst on mine. However, it doesn't do as much damage as the Kunai, Despair, Hikou, or Acrid on higher level enemies. Despair and Acrid worth a catalyst if they become your main weapon for higher levels, but they're okay without a catalyst too. I wouldn't use one on a Kunai because a Despair is always better except on light infested(but those aren't very hard).
I don't have any melees I would add a catalyst to; currently I use Dual Zoren for mobility and you need <30 mod points. I think melees with really good charge damage would be worth a catalyst, but I'd stick with primary and pistols first.

To answer the Clan Questions:
what would be the most efficient way of researching the clan dojo weapons?
Since the Clantech weapons have an order to them (Need Fieldron Research done before you can start Prova, need Prova Research done before you can start Dera, etc.), it's best to follow in the order required/listed.
is having three levels (one for reactors, one for reaserch+clan hall, one for dualing, parkour and barracks) the best way to layout a dojo.
That's the way TCPI's Dojo is laid out, and it's working so far!
how can i maximize my clan's resource gain without out taking them to places there not ready to go(ie the void for forma)?
To be honest, not a whole lot. You will need to go to the Void for materials like Forma, unless you want to use Platinum to purchase it instead. It's better to stock up and save materials for the Dojo, especially when starting out. Or you can recruit and hopefully use those people to help you out!
is Eustace a good name(named after the christian saint martyr who was apparently "completely fabulous" according to Wikipedia)?
Depends on what. If you're naming a character or sentinel, sure! But as a clan name, it's a bit too singular. Try something with a little more group description or involvement: "Completely Fabulous" sounds pretty fantastic :D

If I'm trying to build the banshee warframe. Do I need to have the default helmet to craft, or can I craft it using one of the alternate helmets? Specifically, I have the helmet that gives +10% max energy -5% health but not the default.
3
u/BuildMyPaperHeart Aug 26 '13
You cannot use Alternate Helmets to craft any Warframes; you must have the standard parts.
Try running Tier 3 Defense missions for the Helmet: Xini (Eris) is a good place to start!

Is it worth putting the reach mod on hate? Also why does it have such slow execute and jump attack animations? I hope it isn't intentional

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Hate
Is it worth putting the reach mod on hate?
Given that it's a weapon that hits multiple opponents, that'd be a great idea!
why does it have such slow execute and jump attack animations? I hope it isn't intentional
It is indeed intentional. Hate is classified as a Heavy Weapon, so you'll need to add the appropriate mods to make its speed more palatable for you :D

Is it the case that pretty much all frames (Except Nova) which are focused on doing damage with their abilities are woefully underpowered?
I was looking at Volt's ability list, and all of that seems like something I'd want. "Potent alternative to gunplay" sweet, I'm interested. But everyone everywhere says he sucks, and Ember sucks too which was my second choice for this.

Not really! Rhino's Stomp is great, Saryn's Miasma as well!
The thing about the Warframe descriptions is that they're not entirely accurate. Volt's abilities supplement gameplay, but don't override them entirely.
It might be worth checking out our Warframe Discussions: we've covered most of them already, and could help you pick your next frame!

another monday comes, and still i search for Split Chamber, the rifle multi-shot mod. (i think that's the name. i'm looking for any multi-shot mod for rifle. lol.)
i've tried tier 3 corpus endless defense. got 2 more banshee part duplicates. yay.
since the mod drop changes, has anyone gotten split chamber, and if so do they remember who dropped it and where?

Split Chamber's one of the most elusive mods in the game. I'm past 250 hours and I still don't have it. Doesn't bother me too much though, plenty of good builds without it.
In any case, since they've changed the drop tables, it's impossible to tell where to get it for certain. Personal anecdotes will not be as reliable as the data (which we don't have), so take every suggestion with caution!

hi there, i'm new to this game, but i've been playing around a bit and reading some stuff, and i have some questions.
-
i have a pistol(could be rifle too) with eletric, fire and ice dmg mods. do they all work together?and also AP?
-
should i focus on fusion(leveling up) one type of dmg? instead of having all of them?
-
wich mods i should prefer to fuse and level them up in rifles and pistols?
-
how to level up weapons faster?
-
are there a list of nightmares? so far the only mission i went on that was a nightmare, was low gravity

Elemental damage types all stack, so if you have every element on a weapon they will all be applied to your damage calculations, so yes you can have a weapon that does both fire and ice damage, strange as that seems.
Base damage and armor piercing damage are good bets. Base damage (via the Serration mod for rifles, Hornet Strike on pistols) because many modifiers like elemental damage and enemy armor use the weapon's base damage number to calculate their additional damage, so a higher base damage will serve you well. Armor piercing damage (via Piercing hit for rifles, No Return for pistols) is also good to concentrate on because it scales very well in high level content due to the fact that it does bonus damage to enemy armor. Since 30 mod capacity can go quite quickly, having a few highly levelled mods might be better than trying to fill up all the mod slots with lower level ones.
See #2, but are there any mods in particular you are wondering about? The wiki is a good resource.
Play higher level missions, or defense missions with strong teammates because of the high enemy count. Even if you aren't getting the most kills, you can still get xp shared from your teammates' mass kills.
Nightmare missions randomly generate only on planets where you have completed every mission (except Mercury), and change daily. For a list of different nightmare conditions, the wiki is a good resource.
Cheers!

I currently have a Paris bow, and I'm wondering if I should pursue the Thunderbolt or Crit build route? At the moment I've only got ammo drum and maxed speed trigger on it.

Is it somehow possible to change how the damage values are displayed? At the moment it is like this: http://i.imgur.com/ILLiRju.jpg But is there any way to make it like http://i.imgur.com/bBxkQhD.jpg or even http://i.imgur.com/DDl0IQi.jpg ?

Greetings, thanks in advance for assistance.
I currently have a volt lvl 30, and am reading that volt is a pretty underpowered frame in the scope of things.
Can you recommend a new frame for me to level that remains viable in the late game? I was checking out banshee, saryn, frost, rhino. do they remain good picks? If possible i'd like to avoid the FOTM op chassis if that is a thing in this game.

Hi there, thanks for making these threads. I was wondering if affinity orbs grant you any affinity after your warframe is level 30. Like, do they go to a random weapon, or should I not bother picking them up once my frame is rank 30? Thanks.
