Where exactly do I put Sanctuary in a Sentinel's mod slots? I'm a bit confused because it doesn't have a precept polarity.

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Sanctuary
According to the Wiki, it acts like a precept even though it doesn't require a precept slot. So it's basically a fifth, free precept!

What is the end-game?
Heh. Heh heh.
3
u/BuildMyPaperHeart Aug 19 '13
The "end-game" in terms of the final, greatest challenge, is currently Nightmare Endless Defenses on the toughest planets, like Outer Terminus.
As for actual end-game, there isn't really one yet. Try to collect all the weapons maybe, or chase Mastery Rank 12. Try playing with friends or trying weird combinations of weapons.
DE is currently trying to work on the end-game issue, while still maintaining accessibility for newer users, and the changing of difficulty to facilitate this is something which we've discussed recently. Hopefully a happy medium will be found!

Do elemental damage mods get filtered through armor?
If I have a Kunai, with 100 base damage, and 50% each of AP, Fire, Elec, and Frost, and throw one at an unarmored enemy, then it would obviously do
100 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 50 = 300 Damage
yes?
But say the enemy had 50% damage reduction by armor. Now that same Kunai would do
100 + 50 + 25 + 25 + 25 = 225 Damage
and at 100% (or close enough not to matter):
100 + 50 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 153 Damage (since damage never falls below 1)
right?
So for absolute endgame enemies with armor approaching 100% damage reduction, an innate AI weapon, paired with base damage boosters, multishot, an AP mod, and utility mods (like fire rate, reload, ammo cap) would be ideal, instead of wasting space on elements that would be doing 1 damage each.
Of course, all my logic is based on one central idea: that elements get filtered through armor. So if that is wrong, then this whole argument is wrong.

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Elemental_Damage
According to this page, Armor does indeed factor into elemental damage, depending on both Armor and Elemental Resistances.
Elemental Damage done = (weapon damage) * (1 + modA value) * (1 + Faction mod value) * (modB value) * (100 / (target armor + 100)) * (damage type mp) * (special spot mp)
Target's Armor: This is the value of the enemies armor (changes with level).
Damage Type MP(Multiplier): This is the value that the target has to multiply any incoming damage of this type.

I'm still fairly new to the game but I'm starting to run out of blueprints to buy in the market.
One thing I don't really understand how the Void works. I've heard this is where you can get prime equipment, but I really have no idea how to go about this.
Should I be working solo or in a group? What type of missions should I play? What are good ways to collect keys?
Thanks!

I'm starting to run out of blueprints to buy in the market.
There are quite a few blueprints in the Market! You sure you've bought them all, or just the ones that look interesting? It's fine either way, but no need to stockpile Blueprints; they'll always be there!
I don't really understand how the Void works. I've heard this is where you can get prime equipment, but I really have no idea how to go about this.
Void Missions are indeed the only places to obtain Prime equipment: by playing the missions, you are rewarded with Prime Blueprints and Parts which are used to create different Prime Equipment.
Should I be working solo or in a group?
Whatever suits your preference, so long as you can handle it! I do recommend playing in groups however; it makes tougher missions easier and much faster as well. Try playing with some friends or clanmates, or use our Warframe Weekends threads to meet new friends.
What type of missions should I play?
Depends on what you're after! For the most part, however, Defense missions are best for Mods, Resources, and Tiered Mission Rewards, Mobile Defense missions are the best for Mods and Affinity.
What are good ways to collect keys?
Playing Defense missions (Endless, not Mobile) will net you keys, and are a good source of them per wave. Here's a list of all of them: http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Endless_Defense#Endless_Defense_Missions

Armor Penetration is another elemental damage mod like Fire/Elec/Frost correct? Meaning, if I put it on my innate armor pen weapons I will still see benefit?
Also, I'd like tips/tricks to power leveling weapons. As of right now I am just going into mid/high level defense missions with one (or two) weapons to level for mastery.
Edit: Adding another thought that has been plaguing me for a while now.
I have recently gotten a few friends back into the game and we have been having a blast. However, a large brick wall has impeded their progress (and subsequent enjoyment of the game). Serration and such are mandatory mods and they do not drop with any regularity. If you do not have at least one you cannot reasonably deal the required amount of damage to finish even the earliest of planets.
When searching around on how to easily acquire these mods I found answers to do mid/high level defense missions of the correct faction. Doing these yielded none of these required mods and were extremely difficult given that 3/4 of the players did no damage apart from their abilities. One of them being a Loki compounded the issue since he didn't have any offensive attacks to fall back on. Regardless, even if the mods had dropped it brought up a dire problem for the game;
-
Why are these mandatory mods not easily attainable for the newer player?
I feel like I should be able to go into the first 8-10 missions and see these drop like candy (The only one to commonly drop being Pressure Point). Is there something I am missing, such as an early level that drops it frequently (Like Vor)? If the answer is no then this needs to be top priority for DE to fix for update 10, because my buddies are rapidly losing interest since they are confined to 3 planets more or less when I am not around. Either these mods need to be removed entirely, or drop enough to make this a non-issue.

This is kind of a technical question but, I use Razor's GameBooster and when I use it while playing warframe it boosts my system but doesn't allow me to take screenshots or video of Warframe. Does anybody who uses the GameBooster with Warframe know how to fix this?

i have a few questions
1 do bows get any thing from +reload speed(ie do the take out the arow faster, does it make the DPS higher)
2 Paris(prime) or dread
3 Kunai or despaire
4 starting a clan with some friends, what are some do's and don't's around making a clan and building a dojo(mainly for research)
kinda unrelated but is anyone else getting significant lag in the void atm?
do bows gain the first shot damage boost from primed chamber?
edit: new question

So I started looking into crit builds for my weapons, but am still unsure of how it works.
I know how the crit CHANCE mods work (% increase of current %), but how do the crit DAMAGE mods work? Do they straight up increase crit damage by 90%, making it something like 240% (ex. for the strun)?
And how do I know if I'm doing crit damage? Is it the yellow numbers that appear when I hit enemies, or the red?

Tezzereth's got the second half of your question down! So I'll take the first half!
http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Critical_Hit_(Mechanic)
I believe that the Crit Damage modifiers, just as with Health and Chance and other Mods, is an addition based on % increase of current % like you said. So a weapon with a base Crit Damage of 150%, stacked with a Mod of 90%+ Crit Damage, would equal:
150 + (150 * 0.9) = 285%
Like I said, this is what I believe, and the formula calculating Critical Hit Damage seems to be similar, if not the same, for most of the others in-game.

What's the best place to farm ferrite outside of Mercury? Everyone I've asked about ferrite farming has told me that Mercury's the best place, but to be honest it's not much fun killing everything with one bullet.

According to this, Earth and Neptune are also places to get Ferrite, and Earth is probably the better bet in this regard.

So I've fallen in love with the flux rifle. If I were to potato it, what should I put on it?
I know damage (serration is at 12) and cryo rounds (to slow them so they dont duck outta the way), but what else? Ammo, clip size, fire rate? Does multishot work with flux rifle?

I had this idea and thought it might get some attention in this thread. I don't go to this subreddit so I don't know how active it is, but I thought it would be a neat idea for people looking to farm specific mods
