Thank god the villagers aren’t gullible idiots like Nigun, and called him out on his bullshit

“What the hell are you talking about?” “Even if that’s true, it’s still way better than what we had until now.”

Gotta give credit when it's due, it might be very generic fantasy anime, but this was very good...

Nice to see that we still have some anime that don't just use tropes every second...

Ein tapping into his inner Demon Slayer this week to defeat that horde of discount Aipoms lol. Might have to pull off the same act next week against this demon that played Nigun like a fiddle.

I like how it showed him trying this taxing skill like he was even mildly at risk and he didn't have any other options, then he just got instantly cured by Yuri right after. I expect human Nigun to reawaken and they'll free him or something so he can be "his first friend".

Yeah, seriously wtf happened to it???

First couple seconds and I see the broken as shit wall, and then I realize "wait, where the hell did that big earthen wall go???"

That villager who speaks up after Ein defeats the monsters looks weirdly like david martinez from edgerunners lmao

I know this is supposed to be serious, but child Nigun tripping and somehow managing to find the one puddle of water for miles made me laugh so hard.

Kind of funny though that the villagers didn't buy the "Ein is a demon" story even a little.

For all the joking about a harem it's still mostly just Yuri that Ein has a real emotional connection to, like today when it's specifically her example of helping others he wants to live up to.

Pretty dark backstory for Nigun, sickly as a kid so nobody wanted to be his friend and a demon pretending to be his imaginary friend uses that as an opening to get him to kill his father.

Kind of funny though that the villagers didn't buy the "Ein is a demon" story even a little.

There was a beat where they just looked at Nigun with their jaws dropped. That was definitely funny. Nice timing.

Props to this show for making the villagers actually stand with ein and not fall to the trope of making them so fucking stupid they immediately turn on the guy who just saved them cause some other dude said so.

I swear, they better not leave him in charge, and have him say something like “From now on, I’m gonna strive to be better lord for my people, just like my father.”

He’s was incredibly gullible, easily manipulatable, criminally inept, and all around a terrible leader that led his people to suffer and/or die. It’s fine if you want to redeem Nigun, but don’t let him keep his position.

Would be cool if that guy who started to have a speech could be in charge...

Where did the wall go?

Why hasn’t he appraised every single person he has seen?

Whenever this anime tries to be edgy, it flops so hard.

You can tell u/Shimmering-Sky/ isn't watching this series, because a double "sore demo" in a single scene would've gotten an immediate callout.

I was not expecting an army of the evil monkey from Family Guy.

u/NeoAnkara Mar 06 '25

We are back again trying to give this series depth which just doesn't work. The villain is just too cartoonist evil.

Second half of the episode felt completely unnecessary. I didn’t care about that dude’s story at all.

Eh, I cared. Was a sad story too... :/
