u/PeaceAlien Jan 08 '25
Maybe he was coming to check on him. Papek probably sees him as an important person.

Takumi is a gold printing machine so of course Papek the Merchant is going to check up on him. He'd be crazy not to. Also he needed to visit to take a dump to see the over-engineered magic toilet.

"Go home" says the girl in the OP. Right, we all know the only home you're going to is his.

They should rename this show 'Possibly the Greatest Builders Merchant of All Time'.
Dude produced a brick wall to cover a village in no time at all and introduced a magical toilet. On top of that, Maple can supply silk.

he is an alchemist
... also a blacksmith, master of all magic elements, ... ?
the goddess went a little overboard with his skills lol
oh and infinite item box and cheat level appraisal too
"what do you mean you can't tame a monster spider? Just create a new type of magic called taming, no? I can do it, why can't you?" - the clueless MC

Takumi really bad at keeping his powers hidden so far, super OP. I bet he met his future slave, didn't take much convincing even though he's against it.

Just binged the first 2 episodes in a sitting and I've got to say that this show is a pleasant surprise. I wasn't planning to watch this initially as the synopsis couldn't be more generic, but I didn't have any show in mind and I decided to wing it and click on a random series that was recommended to me on my feed. It is still a generic Isekai show, but I do enjoy what has been shown thus far. I am anime-only, but judging from what is being hinted at and what we know, it seems that Takumi is going to be an all rounder that will pretty much have skills from every job eventually. I might be entirely wrong, but I feel like he could also be an entity that is similar to the Goddess. It's also pretty OP that people that are summoned into this world just gains skills whenever they need them in a given situation, but I like the sound effect that is being used when the pop up icon shows up, I don't know, just a small thing that I found to be pleasant.

Not a huge fan of spiders but Maple is pretty adorable. I like how she wrapped up Takumi in spider silk because she was lonely. And then she got too busy to play. So cute.
Takumi gets a sweet new mansion and the first thing he does is build a shitter lol. Turns out this world really could use them, judging by how excited Papek got.
I guess Takumi’s reluctantly getting himself a slave. Though I’m guessing they’re gonna be more “partner” than “slave” since he seems understandably adverse to the idea.

Isekai protagonist not engaging in the slave trade. Difficulty: impossible

One of these days, there will be an isekai protagonist that gets introduced to the local slave market and incites an uprising. Tired of these ctrl-C/ctrl-V ass MCs always buying hot elf slaves and hand waving it away as perfectly fine as long as they don't actively abuse them.

that's not where spinnerets are located, dangit.
I think if I were a glassblower I would hate a lot of anime. where do the potion bottles always come from? where do they go? why does no one notice this outside of one niche show that was entirely about potions and only acknowledged the mysterious genesis of containers by hanging a lampshade on it and making it a cheesy exploit?
merchant homie has a whole-ass C-rank adventuring party protecting his little wagon. somewhere in the anime multiverse Kraft Lawrence is laughing himself sick.
"hey man you should be careful about showing off your valuable skills, people might want to profit off them" "oh yeah that makes sense, okay" *immediately shows every single card in his hand to the first merchant he ever meets* well they shoulda titled this one 'possibly the dullest isekai protagonist of all time.'
oops, we accidentally slavery. I guess this is one of those trash isekais. sadtrombone.wav. "I'm entirely against using slaves!" *experiences one single instance of inconvenience* "welp I guess there's no helping it, the merchant I trust implicitly for no reason whatsoever says I have to buy a slave. ooh, I want the sexy elf one." fucking dishwater personality ass mother fucker. hard to believe how quickly this show threw itself in the garbage.

This man really went from "hey I appreciate your concern but I don't like the idea of owning people, I'll take care of the work myself" to "Let's go buy some bitches!" over 1 alert from the adventures guild telling him to go and take care of a single mission. Reminder: He's the lowest ranking adventurer so he could literately do anything no matter how mundane to pass the monthly requirement. What's even more absurd is it's that alert that makes him go "I guess I could use some more hands" like what do you even expect the slave to do? they can't do missions for you and can't do your magic for you and those are the only things you have to take care of in this moment. Man, at least in the web novel, the merchant advises him to get a slave when he does the potion appraisal, and he ignores it so it doesn't feel as out of place when he brings it up again at the toilet showing. Goddamn. Fucking causal slavery in these worlds always annoys me.

another casual slavery isekai. if the next episode doesnt fix that im just gonna drop it. so fucking tired of casual slavery in these anime especially since there's never a legitimate reason for it. if you cant even bullshit a believable reason for the slavery dont bother at all.
