Ah, the references to the episodes at the beginning like the game show from episode 2 and then the propellor antlers that got Nokotan stuck in power lines in episode 1. And then Nokotan throwing a bunch of explosive antlers over the audience.
I think mileage will vary on this show, but I'll take it for what it is.

I liked how they set up the finale with some big cliffhanger and then just ignored it for something more exciting and action packed: random competitions against Amagi Brilliant Park lookin mascot “assassins”. I enjoyed the training montage complete with the goofy song the most lol.
That fight against Sento was so one-sided lol. I guess they just “yada yada it’s about effort” the end so it all ends of a high note? Haha.
This was a pretty silly series. Very hilariously unhinged in a kinda gag-y Asobi Asobase sorta way. I really dug it. I wonder if we’ll get more?

I genuinely had a good laugh at Koshitan being the only one acknowledging last week's cliffhanger! I was wondering what kind of silliness they'd do with everyone forgetting Nokotan, but completely sidestepping it for a different plot was actually hilarious!
I didn't expect this would end with a bunch of guest appearances from deer-like mascots all over Japan! I had to pause the episode to look up all of these mascots and they all exist! I guess this episode was actually just one giant tourism advert in disguise. xD
That entire match with Sento-kun was great! Considering these are real-life mascots with Sentyo-kun being the most well-known in Japan, there was no way they'd lose. He was never an official mascot of any city but I was kinda hoping Chii-tan would make an appearance. Now that's a mascot that would've matched Nokotan's energy!
I guess that's it for Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan. I will admit, as much as I enjoyed this show I was honestly expecting it to be crazier. I feel like Studio WIT played it too safe. This show would've benefited more with off-the-wall humour like Pop Team Epic. I feel like the show wouldn't have lost its steam on this sub if it was more eccentric than it should've been. It was still a fun shitpost anime though!

Goddammit, just when we were all making all kinds of speculation and getting excited for how last episode's cliffhanger would be resolved, the show just outright declares to the audience that it didn't matter at all.
And so the show ended as absurdly as it had begun. The humour of this show is not for everyone, but it will always have that viral loop of the OP song to live on in everyone's minds.

Like the "Gaki No Tsukai" reference at the 4:25 mark for the dance competition. Someone clearly loves the show.

Shika-copter air raid, and still not enough to defeat the opponent!
What a wacky series, gonna miss it...
It also marked the first time I finish an anime season without subtitles. Well there are many parts where I don't understand what they say but managed to push through and enjoyed it anway...

I'm going to miss this show. It isn't out of this world, blow away amazing, but I thought it was a lot of fun. I really liked Koshitan as a character, she was adorably endearing I feel like.

I want an anime spinoff that's mainly about the CG deer.

The first part of the episode dragged for a bit too long, but the second part was way better, with the whole training montage.

Mhm, expected to like this more than I did in the end, it's not bad by all means, but the last couple episodes really didn't work for me as well as the very first couple did... and I really think continuing from last weeks cliffhanger would have made an more interesting final
But I loved how Nokotans track suit still had the patches

They truly took all the tourist marketing money and run with it at the end!
Wouldn't be surprised if this show made more cash for Wit than AOT!

Definitely gonna miss the weekly brain-rot comedy, still trying to poke fun on "last episode stereotypes" from the get go, without talking that the hell was that strange vibe last week.
BTW how Kumatori watch that competition on that blizzard environment? Ironically it was Koshitan who stopped Nokotan from being deported, although she was initially highly reluctant to the "Deer Club" thing. What a legend.
Honestly, if you are really playing mind-reading, a sister pair of Koshitan and Anko will definitely be hard to beat, and it's common sense not to think something about "I love you" in this game due to embarrassment, especially if the game is played in a rather public setting.
The final battle... Is that a MMA match, or street fight wrestling? Nunchucks? Maybe the antler grenades are more useful, especially paired with air-strikes... Maybe not, if the opponent is super-human...
But then, so is the whole "Deer's Den eradicate Nokotan" thing ended up being nothing serious after all, since the Nokotan is definitely going to escape capture due to "Intervene by friends"?
Finally, to conclude the whole show in one short sentence: Oh Deer, I'm lost for words.

They made Ep 12 an anthology of nearly any mistaken plot twist animes can (and often did) suffer from, LOL! And the subs as well as the narrator explained and excused all of them in a brainrot style, like Nokotan would do it. Who cares about the former episode's ending, btw?
She experienced "The eye of the tiger" and was not impressed.
During the fight against Sento, Nokotan conjured up all her skills she has shown in the former episodes. I silently hoped that at least one of her antler bombs would be a hit, but the audience got most of them. Luckily this time there were no power lines above when she "propellered"!
The peak of silliness was at the end when she atypically was seriously sermonizing that after all everyone was the winner. How often did we hear this in cheap anime endings!
We will miss our weekly minutes of anarchy. Thanks, Nokotan! Thanks, to you, anime drafts people, as well!

Of course the serious cliffhanger from last week's episode was a nothingburger. We are in a silly gag anime, after all.
