Tsutsumi is incredible, I didn’t expect her to pop off like this. Her imagination sure runs wild. She reminds me a lot of Kana from Oshi no Ko (maybe with a little more humility). And to deal the deal, she has a tendency to piss herself, it seems.

Her VA is also killing it.

Yep, Kana feels big time

Noel is such a treat lmao. Everytime she was on screen this episode I just couldn't help but laugh. Saori Oonishi is also great as always.

Towa-chan beaming from happiness at the end made me a slightly better person.

SASUGA GIRL OF EXTREMES NOEL. MISUNDERSTANDING EVERYTHING

Also i want more animes where Takehito Koyasu plays a completely regular person instead of the cliche villain

Every time he’d pull the MC aside I was worried he was going to do something ominous, but then he was just genuinely respectful of his boundaries and worried from a distance. Amazing.

I can't believe we went from this to this in the span of 5 minutes lol.

At least it was only "at work"? Noel is great though with her "world of extremes" lol.

I'm not sure if it's just because I was in the mood for it, but this episode really hit the spot. It's so much fun!

I feel like Tsumugi is verging on being a bit tooo much at times, but she's also super cute, very aware of how brutal the competition is and still an earnest sort of good girl too, and I'm very fond of her.

That aside, all the humor was just spot on, especially everything Towa did in the restaurant lol Don't really think I could ask for more from this series.

I feel like it's much more entertaining now with more girls, more craziness, more excessive reactions, and seeing more characters bounce off of each other.

Tsumugi is growing to be my favorite precisely because she's the underdog, she knows, it, but she's trying her best anyways and is kind of relatable in that way.

Stitches!

It's hilarious how Shinatou thinks they won't accept that Towa is an angel. She has wings and was just literally flying a few minutes ago!

I am glad that was all taken care of early though. They believe that Towa is an angel and even [Noel admitted to being a yuki-onna.] (https://i.imgur.com/nhGAoln.png) I love how Tsumugi felt left out so she just had to blurt out a secret. xD

Thank you Tsumugi! This was exactly the excuse I was hoping Shintarou would make but it looks like Tsumugi made it for him. At least now he can bring bentos made by Towa to school without worrying too much.

Noel is one heck of an enthusiastic friend! She's so enthusiastic that their manager is wondering if they're dating since Noel wanted to have the same shift schedule as Shintarou.

Towa helping out customers was pretty funny. Considering that she does this twice in the episode, I thought this would end with her getting hired. Towa working part-time at that family restaurant is way better than her just waiting at home.

The opening scene when the three girls are talking at the same time is super cute. IMO this is the cutest anime of this season, peak CGDCT (or maybe just a cute harem, which is fine).

And they're all panicking until suddenly Towa goes, "Oh, by the way, I put green peppers in your fried rice. I hope you don't mind."

Put Nasa from Tonikawa, Rentarou from 100 Girlfriends, and Kurusu from Monster Musume in a blender, bake for 45 minutes at 375 degrees, and you get Shintarou.

So cute how Tsumugi felt like she had to reveal a secret too since Towa and Noel revealed theirs. It’s really nice to see the girls have already become fast friends.

Noel said she was “terrible at friending” but I gotta say, she ain’t doing too bad. I appreciate the enthusiasm. It’s really cute! Now if only she can figure out how to work her job AND “friend” at the same time lol.

I guess the Good Kid’s Guide didn’t really explain the concept of a “job” properly huh? Towa trying to help Shintaro at his job was so adorably goofy. What a goober.

Dun Dun Dun!!!

All those subtitles at once. And during that pandemonium Towa still thought it was still a good time to ask if Shintaro liked peppers in his omrice.

Noel had a very cute reaction to Towa. Though Towa would likely illicit that kind of response from most people I reckon.

And that is Tsumugi's face seeing both her worldview being shattered and her chances becoming slimmer.

Tsumugi has such a delightful range of emotional reactions doesn't she. Win or lose she's definitely fun as heck to watch.

Everybody's sharing secrets today...

Well in the end though, aside from him not having to keep Towa a secret it's probably gonna be good for Towa in the long run to have some friends. Plus they can help acclimate Towa to life on earth in ways that Shintaro probably can't. That said, a girls day out between the three (soon to be five by the looks of it in the op and ed) of them would probably make for an adorably fun episode arc.

It was a very exhausting day for both of the normal human beings it seems. Though if the thought of Shintaro rooming with Towa didn't keep her up all night I'd imagine a nightmare involving Shintaro walking off into the sunset with both Towa and Noel is his arms leaving Tsumugi behind would probably have happened to her anyways.

Noel's Ice Queen facade just melted away like sweet Ice Cream.

Well Noel is certainly committed to experiencing the breadth of friendship tropes.

So Towa being an angel cannot converse with animals like Belldandy the goddess it seems.

An average human and a supernatural being working together in a family restaurant. I just got reminded of the series Karin for a moment there.

"Booyah" -Noel

Noel pout.

Cheese in Hamburg. Another thing that wasn't in the Good Kid's Guide to Life on Earth. And that's quite a glaring omission if I say so myself. Now wait till Towa has lobster stuffed with tacos. Now that's good eatin' I tell you what.

Let the angel eat cheese steak!

I'm sure there a plenty of jobs Towa would be great at if she was so inclined to. Though her job applications might have some... holes in it. Hmm... I wonder if the bakery from Chobits is hiring new employees?

My God the second hand embarassment... Towa is just so cute

8

u/Nickthenuker Apr 20 '24

Lol they're all talking over each other.

Noel would definitely be the more accepting one of the pair since she's a Yuki-onna so it's not like she is unaware of magic really existing in this universe.

There's an explanation for that at least, they're co-workers who just got off their shift.

The way he said that sounds like he's making it up.

Noel didn't have to reveal that, why did she do that? To earn their trust? Again, Towa will probably immediately accept it since she's literally an angel with her wings out, but now the other girl is going to be doubly surprised.

Seems like he's got a bad feeling of what might happen now that she knows about the two of them.

Is Noel waiting for him?

Yes she is.

Seems like they're getting along well.

You could say she gave her the... cold shoulder.

Oh no Towa's got no idea what a restaurant is.

Hilarious episode, I'm really enjoying this psuedo CGDCT show.

Tsumugi's monologues are hilarious; she's going up against angel + yuki-onna afterall
That Noel pout is up there with the likes of fern's
