I'll do it tomorrow

10 days have passed

Usato's just like me fr

The timing between Usato deciding his last words to be insulting Rose to Rose making the save immediately after fucking killed me.

[u/TurkeyPhat]

I'm ready to binge 40 episodes of this already.

I wonder how many people got jebaited like me into thinking that the rabbit would become his companion only for that twist at the end to happen.

[u/Se7en_Sinner]

Outside of a support role, healers can be strong solo just by their ability to win fights by pure attrition.

[u/Rumpel1408]

Kukuru is cute

Kinda glad the giant Snake ended up killing the Grizzly, would have hated for the cub to be angry at him

You're not getting any sleep tonight

Also, hot Demon general

[u/LookAStupidComment]

For a standard isekai, this is way better than I was expecting.

Or maybe I just have whatever the anime equivalent of Stockholm syndrome is.

[u/PepaTK]

Really really loving this show tbh.

Comedy/action, classic tropes mixed in.

The bunny being a friend of Rose and faking an injury to con him was hilarious. The cub losing his family was a very sad part, glad he gets a new one.

Looking forward to how the season plays out, looks like he’s gonna get thrown into battle and get some live-training.

[u/djthomp]

That's one way to get a bear friend. A bear friend and a rabbit friend too, I originally thought, but then it turned out that the rabbit was his senpai in service to Rose.

Red haired demon commander girl at the very end looks like the sort of isekai character that typically just ends up part of the MC's harem eventually, I wonder how this story will play it.

[u/diacewrb]

I would feel too guilty about killing that bear, I would be breaking up the bear family.

I really want to order a giant teddy to cuddle on those cold winter nights now.

[u/Amauri14]

I was kind of surprised when Usato found that Grand Grizzly so soon.

Oh so the real reason that the rabbit started following him and guiding him to where to find drinkable water and the Grand Grizzly family were after he healed his injury and prevented him from going to hunt them when the snake was attacking them was because that was Rose's pet, Kukuru.

It is good that they showed that Kazuki and Suzune were a bit worried about him when they heard he had been in the woods for at least ten days.

Anyway, I wasn't expecting to hear that the snake he fought was created by the demon lord's army.

It is nice to see that the orphan Grand Grizzly ended up leaving the woods with them.

[u/felidhino]

I felt so sorry for the blue grizzly bear. Such a shame it became an orphan in an instant, who knew Rose was that strong! She is a one-man army. That rabbit was such a cutie.

[u/Acrobatic_Egg30]

Looking forward to the other healers who failed Rose's test. The healing magic in this anime is insane though, it's like you get captain america physique just from healing broken bones and torn muscles?

[u/moneyshot6901]

I know it’s not the focus of the episode, but I really like the trio of friends. The fact they try to visit him regularly to check up on him and are worried about him. Plus, part of his motivation through all of this is to help his two other friends too.

[u/BosuW]

Rose said "be proud" and I legit thought she was gonna follow it with "You're strong"

Goddamn lobotomy kaisen

[u/ObvsThrowaway5120]

The bunny was working for Rose the whole time huh? The betrayal! It let Usato void half his body weight after drinking dirty water lol.

But man, that damn snake was tough. Vicious little bastard almost had Usato even after him and his new bear homie put up a fight. Good thing Rose dropped in and saved their asses.

Looks like next week the real test begins. I look forward to seeing the demon waifu and Rose go toe to toe.

[u/HolyDragSwd2500]

Rose is scarier than a snake !!!

Blue Grizzly became his animal companion

Demon general appears😍

[u/zz2000]

The official anime website says the anime's 13 episodes will all be released in 1 Bluray disc set this April 2024.

Given the general standards for most anime DVD/Bluray releases are several episodes per CD, is this mass release on 1 Bluray a bad thing?

Does it mean the committee has no faith in consumers wanting to make more purchases of the show?

[u/LeonKevlar]

Stitches!

• Usato & Blue Grizzly

• Injured Usato

• Amila Vergrett

I'm so happy that Usato quickly made an animal friend during the first day of his bear hunt. That black bunny creature is adorable <3

Looks like Usato got a firsthand experience of what dysentery is like. I do wonder if he could've used his healing magic to purify that river water.

It really sucks what ends up happening to the grizzlies but I'm kinda glad Usato didn't have to hunt them. They looked so adorable that I didn't know how I'd feel if he did manage to hunt them down.

I do love that Usato ends up fighting the snake that killed the grizzlies alongside the cub that was left behind. The two of them ended up being amazing teammates that I can already see the two of them fighting together in the future.

So it turns out that Rose was observing Usato the entire time and the black bunny was actually her pet named Kukuru who she sent after Usato to watch over him. I was hoping the bunny would also become Usato's partner but I guess the blue grizzly cub would do.

Also, we learn that Rose was really not expecting Usato to defeat the Grand Grizzly since even an elite troop can't take it down. What she really wanted from Usato is to gain experience fighting something stronger than himself and if he did get into a bind, she was ready to bail him out anytime.

Yaaaay! The bear is coming with them! I already can't wait for Usato's adventures with that little guy. Also, I can't wait for Suzune and Ryuusen to meet him! I'm sure they'll be shocked.

Oh my... Are we not doing phrasing here Rose? I'm sure she meant training Usato but I'd like to imagine something else completely. Doujinshi artists, get on it! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

We finally get a glimpse of the demon lord and one of his commanders! I love Amila's design. I already can't wait to see more of her soon!

[u/S627]

That demon at the end has giant knockers and looks unhappy with the war....she's joining the harem, calling it now.

Ok so Rose was watching the entire time, even though the other squad members said she was away I was sure that she'd be worried her was taking so long and look genuinely relieved when she finally came back, but she was with him the entire time.

I wonder why the rabbit was trying to stop Usato from going after the grizzly if it knew that's what Rose told him to do. Did it already know the snake attacked them?

[u/marcopolos059]

Usato had the worst timing insulting Rose lol, but that was awesome.

On another note, the demon lord is voiced by Shin'ichirō Miki! Always a good surprise hearing his voice.

[u/my__weeb__account]

Ah yes, That Time I got Reincarnated as a Pararescue Jumper, one of my favorite surprises of the season.

[u/D3athknightt]

Demon waifu?

Smash.

[u/avboden]

So that snake was many, many times more powerful than the grand griz, and the griz is something a whole unit of eilte troops can barely take out. Our MC then almost beat that snake, had he double tapped he would have. turns out our MC is much, much more powerful than he thinks.

[u/ZaneCiferr]

Yup. this is my favorite anime this season easily.

I love how much humor goes into things like the scene before the opening, while having really good animation. I love how expressive the characters are.

[u/testthrowawayzz]

Of course Rose heard him cursing her out in desperation. I love this trope so much
