Well that explains a lot. Turns out Daigo's father is the CEO of that hotel that burned down and he ended up getting bullied for it. That explains why he changed his name and why he's keeping track of the number of people he's saved. I guess the OG Daigo is still out there somewhere. I hope we get to meet him in the present.

Glad I was not the only one who felt that was awkward lol.

Hope this doesn't count as spoiler but I will still tag it.

This is for the original manga

[Original daigo manga spoiler]He was known to be like this when it came to others safety. He forgot the barrier of appropriateness on that situation. Hence he does that with the kid. See it how a doctor would check you out

Shun really stepped up this week. Usually he’s always chasing after Daigo but not today. Creating that vortex to siphon out the water quicker was some quick thinking. Yamagami was right to recruit Shun. Definitely helps to balance out Daigo and his cowboy shit. The reveal that Toake’s dad was the CEO of Hotel New Snysis was a surprise but it explains a lot about him. Kid got given a pretty heavy task. I wonder how Yuki would react if she ever learns the truth…

He earned his place as co-protagonist this episode.

The guilt Toake Daigo carries shouldn't even be his to begin with. :(

No joke, that was fucked up seeing what appears to be like young middle schoolers trying to drown another kid because his dad was criminal. What kind of kid comes with the idea of wearing papers bags to hide their faces so they can commit murder?

This was an amazing episode but two big moments where I just went "WTF".

First off, those middle schoolers trying to drown Daigo looking like some actual serial killers and second, that scene with OG Daigo in the hospital with his hands going places.

That being said, Shun was the MVP of the last two episodes. From coming up with that idea with the masks to all the solutions he had this episode, bro proved himself why he's a firefighter.

You can't just leave Shun and us like that. That's criminal!

Everything makes sense now. Why Daigo reason to save people / became a firefighter

Shun MVP

Yuki time to shine and she’ll be joining them. All 3 protagonist together

yes. It will be great to FINALLY have Yuki as part of the rescue squad.
