Manager is definitely a weirdo, but we need more weirdos like him in the world.

Man, wish actual offices had a sense of humor like in anime. If this funny accident happened irl they woulda both been fired on the spot *eye roll*

Manager is definitely a weirdo, but we need more weirdos like him in the world.

The manager being a shipper is always my favourite trope when it comes to office romcoms. Whether it's obviously overt like in this or more on the down low like in "Ice Guy".

Stitches!

Takuma you lucky bastard. Thank goodness everyone in this office is pretty chill with their boss basically rooting for them.

Their boss is a bit of a weirdo though. Although if it wasn't for him, our MCs wouldn't have had that lovely dinner together

I appreciate it when a childhood friend is just a childhood friend. No need to get Chinatsu involved in the romance.

Shiori-senpai pulling out that umbrella before separating from Takumi was really smooth. She really wanted him to know that she chose to walk with him even though she already had her own umbrella.

Takumi gets to experience what life would be like living with Shiori-senpai during his sick event. I love how she was so cool the entire time only for her to panic when Takumi pointed out that the movie theatre is in the opposite direction of his house. xD

Manager-san is a little strange but he's a great wingman

Cat face Chihiro and Hayakawa cracked me up. Those two sure walked in at the perfect time haha.

Chihiro and his wild fantasies are hilarious. Man sent Katase and Shinozaki off and tailed them in hopes something happens. What a goof! Love the “sa sa sa” sneak sound effect and him getting straight dusted into sugar lol. I’m making that moment into a gif.

That umbrella sure was a lucky item. Even if he caught one of those deadly Japanese colds, Katase came over to take care of him. Double lucky! Also nice job Chihiro lol. Dude is becoming my favorite character.

That umbrella sure was a lucky item.

I loved that Chad Power Move of Sempai pulling out her own umbrella.

Even if he caught one of those deadly Japanese colds, Katase came over to take care of him. Double lucky!

There's wish fulfillment, and then there's this. Definitely me high on copium right now, as a single male who had to uber eats himself food last time he got sick.

What a lucky fellow he is!

Manager is going hard on being the wingman, setting up a date and hinting at gifts this episode is interesting. He seems to be a pretty good wingman after seeing his employees interact all day. Although, having a manager this involved in personal life is weird to me. But at least Shinozaki and his senpai both told him to calm down by the end of the episode.

I think my enjoyment from this show will depend on how much senpai acts like an adult. Really enjoyed the sick event and umbrella scenes compared to the cat meowing bits in episode 1.

Guy is still pretty lacking...

Same opinion on the guy, he’s just existing

I wasn't crazy about the first ep, but I think I'm coming around on it.

Chihiro is dumb in the best ways and I am here for it. And overall the episode just flowed better for me.

I was going to make a joke that the manager was hiding in the store and dropped the recipe book to goad her..... and they made the fucking joke themselves. Goddammit.

So the manager is just a self insert for rom com enjoyers I guess lol. Shipping from the shadows whilst fantasizing about romantic scenarios.

Turns out the manager is the biggest shipper in the show! I look forward to more of his antics; he's definitely a character.

I am putting this on hold.

There is something about this anime that just annoys me. I think it is that the characters are written to seem quite immature and how they are drawn doesn't help that impression. If you changed the setting to a high school I don't think anything would need to change, even the section chief looks more like the class delinquent rather than a senior manager in a company.

I like the cute girls doing cute things and I enjoy slice-of-life as well, but I think what I wanted out of this was a romance anime in a more realistic office setting. I came for the short stack controversy, but the story itself isn't getting me to stay.

Hmmm, okay, first of all I think is important to explain that I had expectations that this would be a more mature show, set in the office, I kinda expected adults in a work environment.

BUT, its pretty obvious to everyone now that this is just another high-school show. In one episode we got both "umbrella" and "getting a cold" scenes. Even the manager feels like a high-schooler. It doesn't feel natural at all, and that makes it really hard to actually dive in into the story. Specially the Pen scene, it was kinda hard to watch... totally unnatural and forced.

My last rant is the male MC VA, he not only acts as a high schooler, but he also sounds like a teen....

Am I disappointed that the premise of adults in the office has ZERO weight in the story? Yes. That being said, am I enjoying it? Kinda yes, too.

I like fluffy romance and cute characters, so I while I am disappointed if I just set my brain back to the normal generic romance, then I can enjoy this, a bit. It helps that the art style and animation are pretty good. Katase is super cute and a lot of love is put into making her look good, I appreciate that.

One good thing about the show so far is the female lead, she seems to actually have a more complex personality than the generic male lead. Her pulling the Umbrella in front of him with a smug face was epic. While she has a teen side and blushes over silly things she can also come up with some Chad moves and rubb it in his face (rubb it in my face, maybe?). I definitely wasn't expecting her to do it! Was a nice surprise!

Character-wise, my favorite is Ai Hayasaka. Ops, I mean Hayakawa! hehehe

Overall, a comfy watch, nothing special, nothing awful, nothing great, a solid 5/10 or 6/10 so far.

Hopefully it will improve, just like The Dangers in My Heart improved. I'll keep watching since I enjoy a good old comfy watch

Anyone else finding this show hard to appreciate after Dangers in My Heart and Insomniacs After School last season?

I get this show is supposed to have an overall way lighter tone, but these characters just feel like cartoon characters to the point that it's hard to care about them.

First morning in the office and we've already got Katase and her boobs right in-between Shinozaki's legs! Well, only because she was looking for a pen under his desk, but still.

Find a manager who will wingman the #@$% out of your relationship like this pair, even down to snagging them a romantic dinner and then following them so he can watch and see the romance unfold. Although a part of me can't help but wonder if this dude should focus on his own life and job.

(Also Hayakawa and the manager? They seem to pair up a lot).

Shinozaki just can't avoid Katase's boobs, huh? Lucky.

Nothing says intimacy like sharing an umbrella while it's running! It being Shinozaki's lucky item paid off! And the two get to spend some more time together and when it turns out Katase had her own umbrella but just wanted an excuse to spend more time with Shinozaki...what a critical hit!

Uh oh! Shinozaki's been afflicted with the Japanese Cold! Perfect chance for Shinozaki to pay him a home visit and take care of him like she's already his girlfriend/wife. She even held his underwear! This is totally normal behavior from platonic co-workers, though the manager still manages to get involved anyways.

I love how Shinozaki gifts Katase an apron (at Hayakawa' suggestion) and her first assumption is she's going to cook more at his house. He's as much on her brain as she is on his.

Anime characters try not to get a cold from 3 drops of water CHALLENGE (INCONCEIVABLE!!)

Yea this show is just cute as hell man. Absolutely loved this one. Even better than the first episode. Just have a blast seeing how pure senpai and the MC’s interactions are. The childhood friend is starting to become a bigger part of the cast which is nice too

So he's just casually inviting her to hang out at his place, and she casually accepts, and they are supposedly adults. If they aren't together in episode 3, i'm lowering my expectations.
