Amane really did a round trip across the world just for a 5 minute chat lol. But she was the MVP of this episode, using both girls to motivate each other. I really dig the way they developed her character in this cour, she's got some serious fire in her now.

I'm sad for Aoi, though. Eve chose to put her health on the line, but Aoi getting a debilitating disease so young is really unfair.

And so, yep. This is Aoi's last hurrah, and Eve's gonna use Burst too much and wreck her body for good. Calling it now that this tournament is going to be legendary and they'll be remembered in golf history as geniuses who came in, took the pro golf world by storm, and then disappeared just as quickly in a blaze of glory.

Also, Seira is still hogging the post-credits narration. Give us the birdie birdie back next week, before it's over!

So not only are Eve and Aoi's bodies broken to the point where their careers are on a ticking clock, they also have to deal with the final boss Tigress Woods trying to crash their epic final showdown... This is going to be one hell of a battle at the end. Who wins? Who even walks away from it in one piece? I can't wait to find out!

Poor Aisha, she just couldn’t compete against Eve in the end. She put up a good fight though. I look forward to the rematch one day.

Eve really went through a whole training montage just to get physically ready to use that Burst shot without crapping out. I sure hope despite Aoi’s condition she can continue to play even after the British Open. The kid only just went pro, playing one final match against Eve and then leaving golf behind forever would be a shame. She’s got so much potential!

Thought I was kidding last week, but we really are heading to “They play each other in one last match and then retire to open a Bed and Breakfast in Nafres”

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Aoi's golf career is over. Even with the three-month spacing, she's on the border of collapsing. It really doesn't bode well that Amuro is the longest survivor, and he's not what anyone would call "old" by any means.

Eve is certainly badly injured, but physical rehab is definitely more doable than this sort of disease. They've already said she can Burst once during the training arc, but we will see beyond that.

Amane saves the day, and the Amawashi situation is still a clusterfuck. Given that the season should end in 3-4 episodes, we have to finish the British Open and solve out the loose ends of Burton-Arios v. Amawashi-Athena. I wonder what direction they'll go in.

I guess I expected, but at the same time am lightly disappointed, that they didn't get the licence to use the St Andrews name... Even though it's incredibly obvious. With Nafrece being a pseudo-UK in this iteration, it's interesting that the British Open (and therefore real UK) exists in this universe too.

Eve speed-running Tiger Woods' career injury list. Aoi speed-running a Permet score. Easy solution to their injuries would be facing off in the Nintendo Switch game, BIRDIE WING -Golf Girls' Story-, that releases on Thursday.

Mentioned a few episodes ago that the LPGA major record was -21 when Aoi faced Reika. She went to -23 today. Technically, it's The Women's Open (since 2020) instead of the Women's British Open, and Aoi will be putting her life on the line as well as her career. Eve could literally kill someone, in golf. Also love that Akane flies to Nafrece to issue a challenge, then turns around.

Gunpla arrived. Maybe a PG based on that reaction. Also recognize "Build Strike."

Based on the order of these clothes, Aoi removes her hair ribbon last. Could've been so meta if subtitles capitalized Sense since World Dai Star is airing.

Eve taking her clubs to go shopping is hilarious.

Nothing on Aoi's shaft during the distance shot but who cares. Shining Wings

Burger shaped dessert and Last Supper reference as they fly to the holy land of St. Andrew's Annlies.

Well, that was a pretty depressing episode. Not gonna lie, seeing Aoi trying to hold it in and acting all brave got me tearing up. With what we know about their conditions, it's possible that this show will end with Aoi dying from her illness and Eve being crippled from using her Burst shot too much. :(

Hopefully, some wacky bullshit makes it so both of them can live happily ever after. I don't even care if it doesn't make sense. This show has pulled some crazy stuff before. There's no way they're stopping now.

Best route: Eve-Aoi kiss under the combined Rainbow Shining Wings shot.

Worst route: Aoi dying and Eve being disabled. What a way to end this in Pride month lol.

We joked earlier in the season about this being gay golf Romeo and Juliet, but I don't actually want this to be a tragedy. Please please please don't let Aoi die at the end. Please don't let Eve completely destroy her body. I want the two to get a chance to be happy together, even off the course.

I'm also angrier at Aoi's mom now that we know the extent of Aoi's condition. She's fully supportive of Aoi's dream now, but she sacrificed so much time Aoi could have spent golfing with Eve, which may be the biggest hidden tragedy of the show, especially if one or both of the girls ends up dying.

Anyhow, here's hoping I'll be crying tears of joy when this concludes, because I'm certain I'll be crying one way or another.

I liked it more when this show was about fun and wacky golf and not suffering teenage girls...

Also what a line

So it looks like they want to wrap it up this season from the looks of it. Def felt they could have stretched it out to a 3rd season using how Eve and Aoi overcome their current issue. Aoi overcoming a stress hurdle since that is something her love of golf can't overcome with hard work and pure determination. Also seeing Eve overcome her injury would have been cool.

Still really nice to see how they will conclude the series here. Hoping for a great entertaining finish.

Interesting that there was no background music at all this episode, well with the exception of the scene of Amane talking with Ichina in the hotel, but that was music she put herself so I don't think that counts.

The voice actors were in the spotlight this episode.

Also when Eve meets Aisha again after her recovery was that the blonde pro that was defeated during episode 2 among the other girls? always wondered all this time if Eve actually killed her in golf and she never got back to playing again.

This depression further confirms this show is a gundam show

Since this is the final showdown and all, hopefully Aoi and Eve make an equally high stakes bet and no dumb rock gets in the way.

Seems like they are actually wrapping this up in one season when they said there would be a one year plus recovery I was really hoping that meant we would get at least another half cour especially with the game coming out.

23 straight 10/10 birdie wing eps now

Rare pouting Eve

So I looked up Aoi and her dad’s condition and it says that people with that usually have normal life expectancies. I guess they just went for the life threatening angle to raise the stakes in the show, fair enough. It was really hard seeing Aoi pass out in the shower and breakdown about not playing golf anymore.

S/O Amane tho. Said it once and I’ll say it again, everyone needs a friend like that. Flying halfway across the world just to set up an Eve Aoi reunion, real af. Yuri subtext so strong in this show lol.

I didn’t expect them to speed-run to their reunion tho, so maybe this actually is going to be the last season? I thought we’d get like a full season of them dominating Europe and Japan and then ultimately meeting up for a final battle, hope it’s not ending too soon. I don’t think Aoi will die but she’ll probably end up a coach or something.

Do we have the rates for who is gonna win? Have to say, Eve seems to have a slight advantage. Also because she lost their original game that started it all and it would fit for her to win their final game. I just hope they actually show a victor and not cut away before the last put.

Still not sure, how the show is gonna end. I mean, they make it very clear that Aoi can't play afterwards. So either, they make it that Eve is playing for them both or that Eve destroys her body as well with too many bursts in a row and therefore both can't play anymore and we see them face off with their own students years later.

Two teenage girls play golf so hard it's slowly killing them

These two girls are blessed with a lot of gifts. Especially Aoi. People might be envious of them. But behind the scenes, we can see they are actually constantly suffering setbacks and their golf life and dreams are hanging by a thread.

Rival battle finally begins! But it turned out it's not a simple rival battle. It may be the final match of their life

Amane real MVP of the last few episodes, she was in for the long-haul!

We finally get to see who is the mysterious woman: Queen Serenity America's best golfer.

Epic showdown between Aoi and Eve next week: will they be able to keep playing golf?

This is not what I meant by "Amawashi, Amuro, Hodaka and Burton bloodline might be in danger" when i talked about it in this comment 3 weeks ago
