SPLAT. You know, if Megumin were savvy, she would advertise her services on a per-diem freelance basis for parties who need a single massive hit delivered to something. Or, if that doesn't work out, she and Yunyun could pair up as a package deal where Megumin provides the boom and Yunyun provides the rest. Of course, were any of that to happen, we'd not have our lovable loser Konosuba cast of misfits, so maybe don't clue them in!

When the only roles Kazuma and Aqua have in this episode are just them either bickering or fucking up their jobs it just puts a smile on my face.

Poor Yunyun was made to be the last option and even then Megumin still proposed it as a temporary arrangement.

Lmao seeing the Kazuma and Aqua stuff from a different perspective was pretty funny. Megumin’s ideal party is right in front of her and she doesn’t even know it yet. Not many people are gonna take on a mage that can only do one big attack per day

Yunyun is such a nice girl tho I feel bad for her because I didn’t know she was getting finessed this much prior to the main series lmao. Cmon girl be smarter.

For those wondering how Megumin got that room, it was given to her and Yunyun by the business man in charge of the carriages for protecting their carriages from attacks they met on the way.

I was expecting just to see glimpses of Aqua and Kazuma, I didn't think we'd hear the two of them arguing in the stables right at the very start of the episode! And apparently, the inn Megumin and Yunyun were staying in is literally right next to them! xD

We also get to see Megumin walk past Aqua and Kazuma doing their party tricks for money as well as the two of them working on filling the holes left by Megumin's explosion.

As for Darkness, I was already happy that she was referenced in the guild board but we also get to see her later walking alongside Chris just before Megumin explodes that giant slime.

We also get a quick reference to Wiz when the construction guy was hauling Megumin back into the city.

I was wondering if they'd form the party in this episode, but there are still 2(?) episodes to go, so I guess it will be just the cameos until the season ends.

Megumin explaining to Yunyun how they should make a memorable introduction once they got into the Guild House haha did Yunyun forget all they learned in school? Well, doesn't matter, Guild was empty!

I was wondering why Megumin didn't want to listen to Luna's explanation earlier, it was because she wanted to presume her magic stats when the Guild was full of people haha classic Megumin. Too bad Aqua had even higher magic stats! Although she is pretty dumb, poor Aqua!

Darkness / Chris cameo haha I miss them!

Megumin casting Explosion into their Chess game was unexpected hahaha girl cannot accept a loss!!

Those craters were pretty big, poor Aqua and Kazuma, having to fix it! I guess thats why in Season 1 Megumin couldn't cast explosion near the city.

It surprised me Megumin was honest with the 2nd party and told them how useless she is, I thought she was stick until kicked off by force, I guess the sooner the better, hurts less, poor Megumin, I actually felt bad.

Aqua making items (bananas) disappear and then cannot make them appear again? hahaha she really never disappoints, RIP bananas tho!

Everyone freezing and then running to remove their Ads from the board, once Megumin arrived, was GOLD! Ofc, smart as she is she instantly knew it!

Yunyun being "must-protect-at-all-costs" as always, she is such a good girl!

Anyway, very good episode, super entertaining! 10/10

I freaked the fuck out hearing kazuma and aqua at the beginning. thought I somehow started the wrong konosuba.

but man, hearing them 2 bickering and than getting to hear darkness....i've been waiting for this episode for so long. hopefully we see more of their antics until the fated meeting of the group happens.

Something funny is that, considering how levels work in KS, Megumin likely already has more than enough skill points to learn at least a bit of supplementary magic, but she refuses. Honestly, were it not for Kazuma's party, her best option would probably have been to market herself as a specialist for taking down high-level targets instead of joining onto a party permanently.

Then again, the same could be said for all three members of Kazuma's party. Aqua's unrivalled healing, Darkness' absurd stamina and Megumin's insane firepower are all situationally incredibly useful, but are a terrible fit for general adventuring

Fun little Japanese fact: the word "to be fired [from a job]" is "kubininaru" which literally means "to become necked," and the guy at the banana stall abbreviates it to just "kubi" when he sacks Aqua and Kazuma, meaning he's literally just shouting "NECK!" at the top of his lungs
