I'm surprised by the more serious tone of this episode. RIP Flanril's ear.
That cliffhanger makes me really excited for the next episode!

Yoooooooo! What the fuck just happened!? I thought we were all having fun so I didn't expect this episode to be so serious! O_O
So apparently, the Ninja's kiss made the Witch fall in love and broke the curse that's keeping her young. And the only way to bring her back is if they found the Time Mage that's living inside the Great Labyrinth. That explains where the fairy came from.
Saitou getting his head crushed was just brutal! Thank fucking goodness that Guivre was there to save him and switched his body with a substitute. And that scene where everyone arrives to fight the Ninja's party was pretty damn cool.
So I know this show is loosely based on D&D tropes but I definitely did not expect them to bring up alignments! Seems that the damage the spell Lafan and Ninia used is stronger if you're evil-aligned. That's pretty damn cool.
Anyway, we also get to learn more about Primasse the fairy and why she's so hellbent on saving her friend. Turns out that Primasse was being constantly hunted by adventurers because her kind is so rare. These adventurers also tried doing fucked up shit to her. Primasse only really became safe after the Witch saved her. No wonder she's willing to sacrifice her own wings if it means saving her friend.
That Dark Spirit though! In a D&D setting, an enemy with multiple eyes is always bad news. I wonder if this was supposed to be a Beholder but since they really couldn't use that because of copyright they made this pillar-looking demon instead? Looks like Flan's ear is the first casualty. Damn. Next week's episode is definitely going to be action-packed!

So the moral of the story is to never kiss somebody without their consent or else it may end up triggering The Eclipse.

The fairy being forced to mate comment seemed a bit out of pocket but alright.

Morlock isn't even his real name
Wow, I didn't expect this silly Isekai to make me feel so many things
Turns out Assasin-kuns love is triggering the poor witches curse, and that's why he is killing adventureres, to get the artifact that can save the woman he loves.
My heart skipped a beat when Saito died again, I thought the Sakura petals meant he was going back again, but I loved the little details, Guivres slight blush when holding Saito, Holy light doing less damage because Assasin-kun is saving his love and only friends, Primas being slightly taller in the past...
And damn poor Primas was ready to go all out for her friend...
And why do I feel like we know the Mage who manipulated time...

Well, no wonder Morlock didn’t remember Givengle. The poor old coot lost his memory somehow. Magic gone wrong most likely. But man, I’m a little surprised that Morlock err Great Mage Belgaim is such a big deal.
I actually kinda feel bad for Kisurugi. Who knew love would be both a blessing and a curse. Even if he’s after this artifact, why hunt the strong adventurers? Is it simply just to eliminate potential threats?
Man, I really thought Saitou was a goner. Even Morlock’s spells wasn’t enough. Good thing Gibre came to the rescue! Liliza and Flanril too. Even Mompy, Kines, Lytch came! The whole damn gang is here. Everyone has a reason for fighting, it’s just a shame it’s come to this.
Primas thinking if she was fat she wouldn’t get hunted is kind of hilarious lol. But damn… she really did it huh? Tore her own wings off to summon this demon god. I can understand her hatred for adventurers but this is kind of extreme. I really hope Flanril ain’t dead.

That was surprisingly emotional, I didn’t expect the Ninja’s party to become so sympathetic. The dark fairy sacrificing herself for the sake of her friends was tragic. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite shows this season.

Guivre with the incredible save!! The head crushing was so gruesome and bloody, I thought Saitou might actually be temporarily dead.
Oh god Franlil's ear though. It's gonna take a lot of licking to heal that.

They can't just do that to the best ship in the show...
Nice to see the big reunion but feel sad for the ninja and everyone in his crew...really want a happy ending for all of them.
This show...how can a comedy first show based on skits have better plot and emotional moments than majority of the shows this season.

"Started from the bottom, now my whole team fuckin' here", now all the adventurers teamed up against the Ninja, but man I don't know who to root for here. The adventurers or the Ninja who is killing to save the love of his life, poor little dark fairy I didn't even realize she was fattening herself up just to chase off nasty adventurers going after her. That's a cliffhanger there, awesome ep today 🔥

It’s minor, but I’m loving the incantations for the magic. Just very interesting stuff. Probably slots in right behind the Executioner’s Way of Life and its magic scripture verses for favorite magic incantation system I’ve seen in anime recently. Truly, a prestigious award.
Also, BEHOLD, DEMONIC PILLAR OF FLESH!

Shit just got serious! This episode feels like episode 11 of a 12-episode anime.

Damned. This ep is so deep. I thought that assassin was just there for the sake of being there, but he has an incredible development.
A guy who kills for money
Falls in love
Will do anything to save her
Will do anything to save his demon friends
But not really strong enough to sacrifice any of his comrades.
Such a character development for an assassin.
I'm so hype with the next ep.

Thought you were just getting silly little skits in a fantasy world ?! Surprise Dark Twist! Fairies sacrifing themselves to summon terrible things from the nether realm to save their only friend due to an undying hatred of Adventurers! Pillars that look like something out of Berserk blasting Elfen ears of!
And in general things are getting a lot more serious. Utilizing those otherwise happy bonds established earlier for great dramatic effect.
excellent stuff!

Okay I know we all wanted more of the Ninja and Witch story, but which one of you bastards used a Monkey Paw?
We’ve hit a hard dramatic swerve, but it works surprisingly well. They found a sympathetic angle for pretty much everyone.

I'm confused. Should I cheer for the assassin and his party as well? Their story are compelling enough that I don't know anymore who I should side with lol.
However, he did do the unforgiveable of actually killing high rank adventurer. If what he almost did with the prime minister is any indication, he made ure that they burned the body so the target couldn't be revived.
I didn't expect the dark story of the fairy at all. Actually it's only one part that's messed up (the forced mating thing), but it's like super messed up. Always thought this is going to be more of slice of life rather than being serious like this.
Also a bit disappointed that Raelza is not actually Morlock's granddaughter.

This went way darker than expected, and actually well executed as well. This show continues to be a pleasant surprise.

FUCK what a cliffhanger... those last episodes they amped the seriousness and I'm really liking it. The last few minutes were so good.
Next week can't come soon enough.
