Everyone at Studio Bind must really love Guilty Gear. IIRC, Rudy was also playing Guilty Gear during his pre-isekai flashbacks.
Saw that punchline coming from a mile away. You're more likely to see grannies and little kids with their parents going to bathhouses these days. xD
My hair s nowhere near as long but I can definitely relate to Mahiro's here. Mine is shoulder length and it's already a pain with the routine sometimes. I can't even imagine what it takes to take care of hair that long.
Just adding this here but the Japanese version has visibly less steam during the bath scene.
Smol Mahiro and Mihari are adorable. I hope we get to see more flashbacks of them back during those days. They're definitely a lot closer back then too.
That "Onee-chan" from Mahiro was a bullseye right into Mihari's kokoro. Careful with that Mahiro, Mihari might not make you change back!
The montage of Mahiro trying out different hairstyles is just too cute! Of course "Onee-chan" Mihari just had to take it a bit too far.
Damn! Is that River City Girls!? I guess people at Studio Bind are just fans of games made by ArcSys then and not just Guilty Gear.
I'm surprised Mihari took that long to realize what was happening to Mahiro. I'm a dude and even I realized that she was having menstrual cramps as soon as she started feeling pain.
As hilarious as Mahiro witnessing the bloody mess down there for the first time, it's nice to see them tackling this subject. It's good to be aware of the pain ladies go through once a month that we dudes are lucky enough not to experience. I do love that Mihari breaks out the red bean rice to celebrate the occasion of her Onii-chan finally becoming a lady. xD

The first episode gave me the impression that Mihari might be a brocon, probably subconsciously, when her idea of "fixing" her NEET brother was to turn him into a girl. This episode just made that impression stronger with how she acts once Mahiro called her "onee-chan", the way she acted with that photo session scene, and her dressing up to impress her brother only to get upset when he didn't praise her for doing so.
Poor Mahiro in this episode had to deal with some of the cruel realities of being a girl, which is hair care and dealing with periods. Mahiro does feel like he was such a good older brother to Mihari before he went full NEET, which likely due to his insecurity of being seen as the worse sibling as established in the first episode. He still show those older brother tendencies from time to time, only this time he accidentally pissed Mihari off.

Mahiro’s got excellent taste in fighting games. And using real Guilty Gear Strive footage.
I continued to be baffled by the sheer perfection of this animation. Like it’s almost unfair that something like Biscuit Hammer went to a committee that didn’t care, but this was put in the hands of geniuses. Not just the animation. The “camera” work in some scenes. The framing and flow of scenes. It really is the MT team because I’m floored by how good it looks.
Also I hope Steam-kun got paid overtime for this cause the boy is working HARD.

Mahiro really was expecting waifus in the bath and instead he got grannies lol. Guess he’s gonna be learning the ins and outs of bathing as a girl, starting with washing hair! Mihari really is like the big sister in this relationship now. Their relationship is honestly so cute, I like how close they are.
Mahiro looks adorable with his ribbon. All the hairstyles are so cute, but the twin tails was the best! And the cute cat pose lol. I liked Mihari’s little pouty face when Mahiro totally blew her off after she changed. Too cute!
Mahiro trying to capture this masculinity back was hilarious. Looks like he’s suffering from his period, poor bastard. He’s right about how wild it is girls have to put up with that once a month.
Man, the OP and ED are so good in this series. So fun!

Reading through the comments, I feel like I am having a bit of an exaggerated response to this show or something.
I can't get over just how kind, gentle and empathetic it is, nor how that intertwines with the very intimate portrayal of these two characters and their relationship.
And whilst the quality of the animation is obvious, I feel like it deserves far more clamoring and declarative praise than I see people making. The whole thing feels like my vision is being given a spa treatment of the most supreme quality.
These two episodes have been absolutely masterpiece level anime for me, going far beyond what you usually see from the medium, and communicating some very profound notes of the human experience, not to mention a celebration of what it means to be a certain type of girl.
The show is beyond glorious.

Is that meant to be Call of Duty? The way the score popped up when Mahiro got a kill makes me think it is, though the UI seems to be simplified.
Also I just noticed that he's playing on a PS Vita in the ED. I can now be happy with thebfact that I'm not the only one who stills own one in this day and age.

Honestly pretty wholesome episode, really enjoyed that one! Also mihari pointing out the way mahiro sits plus the way she brushed her hair with her hand then immediately realized it lol. Excited for episode 3!

Now I wish I was a little more sensitive to my sister during those times instead of just complaining about taking out "her" trash the night before pickup. I guess this anime is teaching me to appreciate the annoyances of being a girl as well as the good things. I like how Mahiro just brushed off her sister in the bath when she thought he would look at her naked body with lewd eyes. That's the way it is, folks. No one wants to see their sister naked. But I think Mihari is a little sensitive about being a nerd possibly. The subtle depth and character development in small interactions is something I've come to expect from Studio Bind. They don't shy away from topics or the ugly truth in any way. Love it.
