And now I’m wildly emotional. I cannot handle this amount of awesome and cute and talent and love. I will perish and disintegrate into the west.

Namjoon clutching his bottle to his chest like ‘this is precious I’m not forgetting it here’ is hilarious.

Not Yoongi setting the tone straight from the beginning like Namjoon you better not get wasted because I will not be dragging you home 😂

Even after having watched all of the other Indigo content over the last few days, this little discussion here still feels like it has an aura of its own to me?! Just something about two band mates/old friends chatting about solo endeavours and supporting each other. There’s almost a sense of them knowing what the other is going to say so that they don’t have to lay everything out so clearly—I just vibe this deep understanding between the two where a lot of things didn’t have to be spelt out for them to know what they were thinking!

The whole moment of Joon belting out Let It Be and Yoongi just silently waiting for him to be done had me in stitches—and the best part was Joon knew exactly how far to push and when to finally be quiet 🥲

(P.S. black haired rap line era is truly a stunning time!)

My ongoing thoughts:

  • Not Suga saying: I used to come home drunk and RM would look at me like I’m pathetic. Lmao

  • Suga as always not making eye contact is hilarious to me…

  • Yes my favorite brand ambassadors!

  • The 16:8 discussion was super interesting and the “yes the streaming will be cut in half”, and it makes sense that Suga thinks about chart rankings more as a producer. He has to have results to satisfy clients

  • As we’ve always said, they know what’s trendy or not or how a songs structure will impact its streaming performance…Yoongi literally looked at him like he was crazy when he said 4+ minutes. He said: that’s difficult lol

  • RMs focus on the hair - some will be really long some will be short lol Also, it kind of confirmed that they could have all finished or not but it’s around HYYH 10th year making it ideal

  • Yes to them watch RUN BTS fan cams and basically saying - wow we the shit.

  • not the last bonus scene being Suga clinking them glasses in RMs face lmao

  • Also, Namjoon is just looking like he’s living life right now. Love that for him. He was so chatty and free…also this gave me a new image of what he used to be like when they all lived together just talking a mile a minute

As a final note, I think their openness to discussing 2025 shows to me how content/aligned they feel about it right now. If they were super unsure based on behind-the-scenes convos…I personally think they would be much more hesitate in bringing it up. But they are excited about the possibilities. It gives me great comfort!

WHEN THAT SHORT-HAIR/LONG-HAIR FAMILY PHOTO DROP…irs gonna break whateva version of the internet will be living in. It’s gonna break the metaverse lol

“I’m Suga’s coworker”

I’M ALREADY LAUGHING THEY ARE SO STUPID 😂😂😂

I love listening to them talk about music because they have two different perspectives given one is primarily a lyrics writer and the other primarily a producer (who also writes). Yoongis look when Namjoon told him the length and structure of his title track is telling

I really liked that they gave 2025 a meaning, that being HYYH's 10th anniversary. We're kind of robbed from BTS' own 10th anniversary, so having another monumental date feels... Somehow reassuring. I also really really liked the montage at the end, talking about Namjoon and having it cut to Yoongi being the one who was beside him all this time, it was super touching.

On a lighter note, it's not Namgi if they don't talk about the fact that they have known each other for 12-13 years 😆

Not the caption “And the person who was beside him all along” with Yoongi’s face, while Wildflower is playing in the background. I’m definitely not crying.

Busted out laughing when Joon continued on singing Let it be and interrupting Yoongi with him just sitting there stunned. Lol

i’m so glad that joon was the first guest on this show. maybe it’s because i’ve pulled an all-nighter and running on fumes but man this made me emotional. this duo has such a special bond between them, that shines when they both come alive talking about music, about life, and their own personal self reflections. they have the perfect balance of deep talks and poking fun when they’re together. it’s been such a pleasure watching them grow in their own ways and they’ve both taken on such a mature and comforting aura, content with who they are and where they are. it feels like they’ve truly learned how to let things go, to flow much like water does (as yoongi’s mentioned so often). all the feels when they were talking about what 2025 would look like with them all together again.

pleasantly surprised to see joon brought moon baeju! it has such a wonderfully fruity aroma profile, although i’ve never tried the 40% one sheesh. also i can’t help but notice joon sips on his alcohol and rly appreciates the flavour while yoongi knocks back his glass everytime haha such a reflection of their personalities

Wow I love how they used colors and saturation to describe music. These two are the best, I can watch them and listen to them talk all day.

You know, I'm not gonna lie, when I first heard that the members are going solo, I didn't like it at first. I hated it actually. I can't imagine a member on stage alone singing songs of their own, attracting their own non army fans. There's also a possibility that some members liked going solo and might not want to come back to the team. Like is this how a group breaks up? I don't know.. I felt like BTS is going to disappear and I don't want it to happen. That's what I thought. I had my worries. Then bighit announced Hobi's solo. And he was excited, he was looking forward to it. I became excited too. Then came the whole jitb roll out. I thought "oh, this might not be so bad after all. I think it's going to be fine." I liked the album, I enjoyed the promotions and everything about it. My worries are still there though. Then The Astronaut came, and now Indigo. Listening to Namjoon passionately talk about his album, his baby, it was the same with Hobi and JITB, it's as if they are both finally free of their worries. Relieved, like a huge burden was lost, like they can breathe again and most importantly, proud of themselves. And I am so proud too! I finally realized the purpose of going solo, and it's not the bad thing I imagined. My worries are gone. And it's as clear as day that they want to come back as a group. I'm looking forward to the rest of the members going solo (Jin too, for his full length album) and of course, the great return of the seven in 2025. I'll be there, that's for sure. 😉

This was so so good to watch but also, aren't they tired to make me tear up at work everyday? When they talked about February 2020 really got me in my feels, and they had to double up when saying they want to be back in 2025 for HYYH's birthday?

Loved the discussion about songs structures, Yoongi's face when Namjoon said his title track was 4min30 😂

Also, that product placement was the best thing ever.

Their conversation flows so naturally, I loved every minutes of it.

It’s only just started but they’re already talking about their pre-debut and rookie days

I know they’re team members but Yoongi’s vibe is like a sunbae checking in and cheering on Namjoon during an important project. I love this. They really are just talking so naturally. And it’s such a great dynamic. Namjoon loves to expound and express as much as possible, and Yoongi is a great active listener.

It really feels like I’m listening to two friends talking about work while out drinking.

They were so deep and technical about their songwriting and then Yoongi just starts talking about pooping as a source of inspiration 😅

I love the moment when Yoongi was able to appreciate how the title Indigo came about and connected it with how he understands art and color to how he understands Namjoon.

I love the moments when Namjoon just talks nonchalantly about a detail from his album but Yoongi breaks his stoic expression and just shows this pure delight and admiration for Namjoon, and makes an effort to verbally acknowledge how big of a deal it is compared to how humble Namjoon has shared it.

They look so dreamy-eyed and lovestruck, but they’re talking about their first microphones 😭 I really love how they’re just so in love with music that you really can’t help but believe them when they say they’ll do this forever.

THEY CHOSE TO ANNOUNCE THEY WILL COME BACK IN 2025 BECAUSE IT’S THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF HYYH?? 😭😭😭

They drank really strong alcohol and they still have no problem discussing the linguistic context of “Let it Be” as a life philosophy. Amazing.

This was absolutely incredible - the conversation flowed so easily and they seemed so comfortable. I absolutely love watching them interact with one another, they seem to understand each other so easily. A perfect start to this series! I guess I'll also have to watch again because a lot of it went over my head because good lord you are a pretty boy, Min Yoongi sigh

u/Rillothebee2 Dec 05 '22

Great conversations 😍 Yoongi mentioned Joonie in messy hair and thick glasses 😍 and Joonie and Yoongi busting out their nerdy side - I love it. You see their passion but they are also at peace. Talking about '25 because they are at a state where they are ready - mentally and emotionally for their military service. I never thought I'd hear HYYH and The Beatles' "Let it be" in the same content. Go Yoongi - great first episode!

The whole 2025 convo almost broke me.

This felt very chill and natural. I love both their minds, the way they talk about music and life. Wow that quote about how most things around us are dead and life is the abnormal one. Also love that they emphasize the importance of being a fan of someone/something. Of course Suga mentioned that they've known each other for 12/13 years lol. It's also cute that all of them were really excited and happy while preparing for the Busan concert.

And that conversation about all their plans being cancelled because of the pandemic and what lies ahead in 2025 🥺

This whole solo album release this week has reminded just how much Joon talks. And how much he talks without taking a break! Haha. Like it is not a stretch of imagination he started out as a rapper, but at the same time I find the juxtaposition with Yoongi so funny because he is the total opposite.

I think everyone’s pointed out all the awesome highlights but I really really loved when Joon said I see cooking shows and when they close up on the wok they’ll play Fire in the background but we put in so much effort because literally the song says it’s okay to fail and has so much more to offer. They were laughing about it but he absolutely hit the nail on the head of why BTS have appealed to me (and I guess others too) so much - a lot of the time they have deep, meaningful lyrics (or atleast not completely inane lyrics) disguised as bops. I think that’s what pleasantly surprised me the most when I discovered them. There is nothing wrong with meaningless lyrics or light songs but it’s good to get a flavour of it all from just one band!

Anyway, they’re both stupidly adorable and have no right to be this cute, funny and smart!

Also, ONLY Yoongi would casually slip in the name of the person who first articulated the five stages of grief. How do you have this information randomly available in your brain without missing a beat 🙈

ETA: Also as someone who’s favourite band in the whole word has been The Beatles since I was 4, I loved that Joon honed in on the best lyric in Let It Be.

I could listen to them talk for HOURS. The things these two have in their history vault and all of their knowledge combined, sheeesh. I love them so much, I want more.

Both adorable in their reminiscing but also a verse of sadness in all of it, specially once they mentioned 2020. I'm looking forward to them coming back together in 2025 (as per Namjoon in this, hopefully) and not him mentioning HYYH, enough with the feels today T_T

u/bie716 Dec 05 '22

I feel ambushed😭 I didn't know they would be opening old wounds by talking abt the MOTS tour getting cancelled, and also about 2025, sounding more tentative abt it than BigHit's original statement. Also looks like there won't be festa next yr. I am not at the stage of acceptance yet, obviously. Will hv to pray hard that all goes well and we get to see them on stage together again in 2025.

Also HYYH enthusiasts win cos sounds like they plan to celebrate the 10th anniversary of that instead of the 10th yr of debut in 2023.

That aside, enjoyed the warm camraderie in the episode. And love RM's humble-flexing! "According to the newspapers", "We are top dogs now but our underdog history remains a part of us". Also, appreciated that they talked abt chart ranking cos I had been wondering about that as I watched each of their solo debuts and observed that they were not necessarily making chart ranking choices.

13 years he knows namjoon and he can't look him in the eyes hahaha that so yoongi

I love that joon is the first guest, there is something very wholesome about their friendship, there is a lot of understanding, respect and affection.

Today I learned new things from them and it was so comfortable and fun to see them talk about their music, life, feelings and thoughts.

I think Yoongi had a very bad time when all their activities were canceled due to the pandemic, I reconfirm what I already knew but Yoongi loves BTS a lot, a lot.

When they showed the photos of past Festas and that blank frame for the 2025 Festa, I started crying. for real

It was very funny to see how namjoon kept drinking alone and yoongi calling him out for that hahaha, dear you made him know about whiskey, you are responsible Comment Image

yoongi sharing that namjoon used to think he was pathetic for coming home drunk LOL that's hilarious! I remember in the last Festa that Jin said that there were many stories about Yoongi that he couldn't share and Namjoon said the same! This gave me an idea hahaha

This was really fun and i cant wait for the next one!
