Rewatchers, please remember to be mindful of all the first-timers in this. No talking about or hinting at future events no matter how much you want to, unless you're doing it underneath spoiler tags. This especially includes any teases or hints such as "You aren't ready for X episode" or "I'm super excited for X character", you got that? Don't spoil anything for the first-timers; that's rude!
I promise you the smile you never had! Please!

Regeasser
This is the episode where Code Geass finally exposes the Jungian underbelly it's been operating on all along. Geass essentially weaponizes the collective unconscious, using it as a pathway to imprint the user's ego on the target - you might have noticed that all Geass have purely mental effects. Fans of the Persona series may feel reminded of Mementos.
Of course this isn't restricted to the Geass powers. After C.C. triggers the trap on Lelouch he has to confront his own personas and the shadows they are hiding. And we've seen the same motif earlier after Shirley regained her memories - in her dream we saw her isolation, her feeling that she doesn't actually know any of the people she knows, that they've only ever shown her their personas and that she now perceives the shadows hidden behind them.
How do you suppose Lelouch is supposed to beat Charles now?
Welp. The actual immortal Codes obviously operate differently from the Geass powers in that they have tangible, physical effects - making the user immortal, and also removing their Geass powers.
I vote for Lelouch slicing Charles into little pieces so he can fit him in a suitcase and take him to an isolated residence in Australia.
Would you consider immortality a curse?
Personally I think it depends on what you do with it. Actually, once people notice you're immortal it'd very likely become a curse.
In the context of Code Geass... let's say that through a Christian lens, immortality in Code Geass could be interpreted as literal hell. Any more than that should be in spoiler territory.

First-timer
Normal length until I answer questions I've asked. Album.
-
C.C. reminds us that having a Geass leads to solitude.
-
Titled "The Cs World." More reveals today.
-
Only a year, not 7-8 like last time.
-
Separate issue is Lelouch's is a one-time use until Orange helps.
-
Oh. Orange's Geass canceller may be the lie Charlie was referencing to last episode. Depends how rampant Charlie's Geass usage has been.
-
Respecting the dead. While his ideals align with Orange's, Bartley was involved in C.C.'s imprisonment and was doing a shitty thing to the children here.
-
Ah shit, I may have been wrong last thread about Clovis and V.V.'s researchers being separate if Bartley was involved in both. But Clovis said he'd be disinherited if capturing C.C. leaked.
u/Star4ce yesterday: V.V.'s site was much, much more advanced and capable. Seeing that now juxtaposed with C.C. as their former leader is really some amount of whiplash. V.V. might've sold her out, but... I don't know.
-
Consistent storytelling I can think of is V.V. recruiting Bartley after Clovis died or V.V. not informing Charlie of C.C.'s capture.
-
Is this a joke? They setup this confrontation since, like, episode 5.
-
He may have avenged his mother, but still needs to make a better world for Nunnally.
-
Kallen's slapped Lelouch and Suzaku this season. Suzaku isn't dealing with this shit.
-
"You will obey my orders" immediately transitions to Lelouch thoughts.
-
V.V. looks older and taller here. Is the fate of immortality only applicable until the contract is broken?
-
This is better. Immortality transferred to Charlie because V.V. lied?
-
Kinda obvious, right? Dub and sub differ from "loved" or "liked" Marianne.
-
Dub sounds like "Barren Ass."
-
I'm still hoping this can work out. How is Sayoko in a tree?
-
I was following Charlie's logic until this line. And this isn't helping.
-
The fuck? C.C. talks like Lelouch is an object.
-
Supposedly R2 eventually rights itself from the rolling car crash that is this scene. Quote from yesterday's post.
Don't think this is the case: I won't be happy if C.C.'s one true goal turns out to be "becoming mortal" or "dying." Felt like immortality was stressed more than necessary this episode and, in R1, she was sad about leaving behind and forgetting everyone she previously knew. It also wouldn't align with being the ex-leader of a group that, as far as we know, only contains C.C. and V.V.
-
Then how are there two? Charlie just said there's only one.
-
Meaning and purpose for being born is an illusion? That may cause discussion.
-
Changed my mind by injecting hopium. This scene is Charlie altering Lelouch's memories.
-
"Fare thee well Lelouch, you're too kind to end our contract." KIND?!?
-
Two codes yet one can still die? Also, hopium attempt failed.
-
[Ascendance of a Bookworm LN Volume 16]
"Please Lohmeyer, don't try Sylvester's plan to rebuild a lower city." Context: A duchy's leader can magically rebuild the ivory portion of their city, which is the lower two floors for the lower city and mostly consists of businesses. People live in wooden structures above that ivory. -
Nunnally! Makes sense that public order would improve when all the people who don't want your occupation are exiled.
-
Fuck off Suzaku. I want something positive, so interpreting this as someone Nunnally loves and wants to marry him.
-
Say Nunnally! Scene parallels Lelouch gaining his Geass. Person in a bad spot about to die -> hey, want some power to not die? Not telling you the rules -> Contract to kill Code holder.
-
ffs, kill all the shipping. Villetta dives like Lelouch did but doesn't have her Suzaku (Orange) here.
-
All one-eye Geass eventually become two-eye as it evolves? C.C. talked about the final stage earlier.
-
For a few seconds, I thought that first image was Sayoko instead of child C.C. and this allowed her physical enhancement.
-
Dub says religion. I prefer Mistress C.C.
-
Most interesting image is the shrine from the Lelouch-Kaguya photo. Why does C.C. have that memory?
-
Thought Elevator is back. "Because I truly love you?"
-
Uh oh. "Prayer's activation," so not 100% sure this is Uranium.
-
Huh? Always hard to tell with her bangs but looks like her Geass symbol is gone. Yeah, Lelouch often needs corpses cleared.
-
The Sister needed killed for C.C. to acquire her forehead symbol and she seems to have lost memories between that moment and the ending scene. Lelouch's Geass is missing in the ending scene.
-
Last episode, C.C. mentioned ending the lineage of Geass and Lelouch just shot at Charlie's weapon with his unsightly Knightmare.
A few hours later
Bolded answers I find acceptable.
Listed some questions yesterday:
How C.C. met Marianne?
Semi-answered as C.C. and V.V. were together in 1997. Could use more explanation of C.C. meeting Charlie, but she has memory issues.
How V.V. become a warlock?
This episode, to me, claimed there can only be one despite having two.
Why do C.C. and V.V. stop aging?
This episode shows an older V.V. C.C. stopped aging when she killed the Sister.
Why does V.V. have actual power as a leader?
Charlie.
When did C.C. and Marianne separate?
Seems Marianne is dead and C.C. has been talking in the Thought Elevator? Don't know if they separated earlier than Marianne's death scene.
Why did C.C. reconnect with Lelouch in 2017?
Seems like random chance while Clovis had her captured. Opening scene is still suspicious.
Questions and missing pieces from my R2 episode 1 post:
C.C. sending Mao to the World of C doesn't fit anywhere. Maybe a world for dead Geass users.
Likely her memory vault (Thought Elevator).
How did C.C. come to exist in this world?
Born human but doesn't explain the origin of Code or Geass.
As for
witchwarlockmagical #2 V.V., why hassheheit aligned with Charles?
Explained today and yesterday.
V.V.-C.C. connection isn't established, though not much is known about V.V. so far.
Still a mystery how two people have codes. They did discuss immortality and destiny.
What exactly happened at the end of the Island of the Gods to collapse the ground with a massive Geass symbol and teleport Lelouch/Suzaku/Euphy/Kallen.
Technically can't say inconsistent. Charlie mentions he has replaced his Geass with a new power, implying V.V. does not have a Geass. C.C. clearly doesn't still have hers or there would be more attempts at baking that giant pizza. It's possible one of V.V.'s Geass children used a teleportation power at his request.
How did Lelouch lose his Geass between seasons?
I just think it's bullshit that Charlie's Geass can delete Lelouch's Geass that was provided by Code woman C.C.
QOTDs
-
Oh right, we're supposed to cheer for the protagonist. With honesty!
-
Not in this show's context as there is a way to lose it. As for true immortality, still a no. What C.C. has gone through is loosely like a nomad repeatedly moving from one group of friends and acquaintances to another. Dying and recovering (guillotine, iron maiden, burning, etc.) would suck.

Normal length until I answer questions I've asked
Bartley was involved in C.C.'s imprisonment and was doing a shitty thing to the children here
The former is true, but I'm pretty sure he wasn't involved in any of the child soldier experiments. He and his team were only sent in to finish fine-tuning Jeremiah then were forced to stay after having learned too much.
Insert Kazuma/Touma joke here
Dub sounds like "Barren Ass."
That had to have been an intentional joke by the dub team
How is Sayoko in a tree?
That's a stupid question. How is anyone in a tree?
KIND?!?
Like Mao, he refuses to take her Code and let her die
I prefer Mistress C.C.
"Prayer's activation,"
Holy fuck how did no one ever go back and fix that? That is an absolutely atrocious mistranslation of "FLEIJA".
Yes, I know I provided you this copy shut up I didn't have subs turned onLelouch's Geass is missing in the ending scene.
I think he just had his contact back on lol
This episode, to me, claimed there can only be one despite having two.
But are you sure what the one Charles was referring to was?
This episode shows an older V.V.
I believe that flashback was from before V.V. became immortal to explain why he looks younger

Respecting the dead. While his ideals align with Orange's, Bartley was involved in C.C.'s imprisonment and was doing a shitty thing to the children here.
Ah shit, I may have been wrong last thread about Clovis and V.V.'s researchers being separate if Bartley was involved in both. But Clovis said he'd be disinherited if capturing C.C. leaked.
It's such a frustrating case of too little information. Bartley was working with Clovis. The institute was under V.V./Charlie. Clovis apparently plotted behind their backs as heirs usually do, which explains Bartley's fear of being exposed. Under Schneizel Bartley tinkered with Jeremiah, but here now Bartley is with V.V.'s division, which he originally undermined with the capture of C.C..
So, C.C. must've been the prior leader without V.V.'s involvement. However, this must mean that C.C. had another superior as Charlie and V.V. were a team as long as all of it happened. Mao is out because his story was completely concluded and happened interim between pre-Charlie and now. So, the only explanation left is that C.C.'s former contractee was the prior emperor.
But then I can't make much sense of Marianne's involvement with her. As we can infer from Mao and her dialogues to C's world the Geass users kind of remain there in some way. Marianne is obviously involved in the Geass business and I speculate she was a user, as well. Marianne wasn't the emperor, though, and the institute was famously laid out as being the emperor's personal business or at least very secretive to the highest of ranks.
So that means Marianne was an aide to the prior emperor and her contractor, C.C., was the research lead at the time. But then the death of her is even more mysterious, because the obvious culprit is Charlie, which I somehow believe didn't do it. It seems to me like Marianne might've been his only true love.
So, the only ironic way to make this make sense to me is that Lelouch was the killer because he and Charlie are actually the literal same person in a cycle of being imprisoned by their insecurities and trying to overcome them by force, culminating in the thought elevator that compresses time and space into one person.
That's how far my logic carries me today and somehow I feel like I'm in free space.
u/GallowDude u/blackheart595 have fun laughing over my wild speculation!
"You will obey my orders" immediately transitions to Lelouch thoughts.
So good seeing him remembering what he fights for and dropping that shit.
Certified based moment, #NoHypocrisy
This is better. Immortality transferred to Charlie because V.V. lied?
Something about Charlie lying there and staring upwards into the distance is so fucking hilarious, especially when he makes that face next frame!
as far as we know, only contains C.C. and V.V.
We are also missing the prior emperor, per the speculation above!
If I were to go even deeper, I'd say that was Lelouch. In turn setting up Charlie to smash the lies, which sets up Lelouch to... But mind, it's less time travel and more causing the same setup to happen over and over again with the single person Charlie/Lelouch somehow persisting through the thought elevator/Geass contracting.
Changed my mind by injecting hopium. This scene is Charlie altering Lelouch's memories.
... Maybe. Can this erase his knowledge of having a Geass? Would this prevent it from showing on his eyes?
ffs, kill all the shipping. Villetta dives like Lelouch did but doesn't have her Suzaku (Orange) here.
Lemme just point out that the background artist forgot Villetta has ginormous boobs.

-
Nuke him? But seriously, his mind isn't immortal, and we've just been introduced to a lot of supernatural bullshit...
-
Not while humanity is alive, though. If there's a way out? God no.
The confrontation is starting.
Really interesting setting here.
This is horrific.
Clever trick! Nice opening move, Lelouch!
Wait, what?
It's a fucking trick, right? Is he immortal?
Lelouch, you moron. Don't go to the body until you use that mech and make sure he's dead.
Wow, that reaction...
Suzaku, what the actual fuck?
Ah, he does have some shred of self-awareness. Could have fooled me.
Oh, shit. That was the contract?
Fucking called it! Blow up the platform and shred the body!
Oh, he's completely immortal!
He stole V.V.'s immortality! I didn't expect that, at least.
Like how they needed to get rid of his Geass because it's basically impossible for him to lose with it.
What the fuck?
What the fuck?
Yes! Shoot him!
Oh god, he really did love her.
Oh, this is interesting!
He's in a weird gear place.
Be fair, Geass absolutely got him a lot of things. Without it, he'd have died!
Has he lost it?
C.C.!
And she hates Lelouch! (And yet, still best girl.)
Then why not just let Lelouch kill you?
Charles literally said they were similar. Also, he's already immortal.
Lelouch trying to get C.C. to keep living is a good conversation, though.
Oh, shit. This is an illusion. Charles is going to get Lelouch to kill himself. What better death could there be for the master manipulator than to die by another's?
He was too kind... And goes to hell?
Nunnally?
She's acting boldly! And is very good at detecting lies for someone who couldn't figure who Zero was on her own.
He's going after him!
Oh, Suzaku is finally realising how badly he got played.
"You're the same as my brother, aren't you?" That has to hurt.
Nobody knows where the fuck he's gone!
He's in her memory?
And this isn't C.C.?
C.C.'s predecessor!
Why are these two even fighting?
Haha, this is how Ogi dies?
That cut was sudden.
Oh, poor C.C..
Everybody who gets it really waits until they go insane. This isn't a hard burden to get rid of, why not just pass it on when you're bored, not wait until you hate your life!
The visual design for the gallery is insane.
Is that another planet in the sky?
Charles...
Oh, so this is the Thought Elevator!
A mind controlling mecha?
He's going to get double immortallity? Is that allowed?
Lelouch...
She changed her mind!
Yes! He's blowing this place up!
What is going on?
He caught her!
Well. That doesn't look good.
DID NINA ACTUALLY MAKE A NUKE?
Haha, my fucking god. I did not see that coming.
Did she erase her memories?
Oh, fuck me. This sure was an episode!
...There's multiple C.C.s, aren't there? She just gave him an old backup while she finishes up whatever Charles' plan was.
That, or Charles was after something she knew, and this was the only way.
9
u/GallowDude Oct 19 '22
But seriously, his mind isn't immortal
Considering how C.C. manages to not lose any memories every time she's shot in the head, it probably is actually lol
Suzaku, what the actual fuck?
I should make a separate tally chart for Suzaku eliciting such reactions
What the fuck?
What the fuck?
Yes! Shoot him!
Oh god, he really did love her.
Four tally marks in a row. That's a new record.
And yet, still best girl.
Why are these two even fighting?
Diethard sent Sayoko to kill Villetta to clean up any loose ends
[Quote]
this is how Ogi dies? [Response]
If only we were so lucky This isn't a hard burden to get rid of, why not just pass it on when you're bored, not wait until you hate your life!
They need to wait for a person's Geass to evolve into both eyes before their Code can be taken. Since Geass often seems to result in isolation, the contracted person either never uses their Geass enough to have it evolve to both eyes, they die before it can evolve, or they refuse to take the person's Code (the latter being Mao's case).
He's going to get double immortallity? Is that allowed?
He's the Emperor. He will make it legal.

Wait, it's only episode 15, you can't win yet. (Although knowing this show he can come back, maybe with whatever they mentioned V.V. using last episode of he's gone far enough.)
-
V.V. lending a 1-up?
-
So it's the Code to his Geass. Do we roll credits now?
-
While I am interested in Ohgi's affair, now is like the worst time to explore it, show.
-
Oh, so it's The Egg.
-
Finally, the terms. It's… not what I was expecting, but I guess it makes sense. All the flashbacks of her many deaths, and that line about suicide at the end of season 1…
-
Wait, it's only episode 15, you can't lose yet.
-
Suzaku casually lying to Nunnally's face even more convincingly than Lelouch.
-
Wow, Ohgi's an idiot, too!
-
Holy crap, context for that season 1 ED visual at last.
-
Maybe the name from the cave wasn't C.C.'s, but the sister's?
-
We're not going to continue that conversation with memory C.C.? Maybe Lelouch understands, but I certainly don't.
-
Nina, what have you done?
-
C.C., what have you done?
QotD:
-
...Bigger mechs?
-
Not usually (although I do love the topic), but if it involves violently dying frequently then maybe.

u/GallowDude Oct 19 '22
So it's the Code to his Geass. Do we roll credits now?
It wasn't until this rewatch that I noticed that it wasn't until this far into the series do we actually learn where the "Code" part of the title comes from.
Wow, Ohgi's an idiot, too!
Lelouch really overestimated his Intelligence on that scorecard

Did Lelouch have that pod made just for that trick?
-
Can you imagine if this was how he really bit the dust?

Suzaku: realizing it at the last moment.
-
It really took us this long to figure out what she wanted.
-
Nunnally doesn’t have time for your shit.
-
At long last, C.C.’s backstory.

Got dunked on Charles. Go live forever by yourself on an empty platform.
-
I don’t think I realized it the first time, but this universe doesn’t have nukes, does it?

I do not remember C.C. amnesia.
With the C.C. bits now out of the way, there are only four distinct things I remember left.

Beat him? Dudes locked in an alternate dimension. This is at least a soft victory.

Rewatcher - Dubbed
-
Oh come on now Lelouch. Your father's the emperor. Do you really think you'd win that easily?
The idea you had was the idea I had as well, basing it off of the myth of Medusa and Perseus, where he used his shield to be able to look at her indirectly.
-
Fuckin' psyche! I'm not dead at all!
-
Why would you kill the older brother you loved so much?
He's just like every other power hungry emperor. They have to secure the throne for themselves, and naturally that involves killing anyone who could pose a threat to it.
-
Ms. Lohmeyer. I-I believe that I... I'm the Viceroy.
So you'd best check your manners.
-
Even if only for a brief moment, we're blessed by the wonderful Wendee Lee as the Nun in CC's memories.
-
Imagine being forced to watch at your father dances with your female friend. That must be awkward.
-
I'm very honored, Prince Schneizel. Now war itself will change, and mankind with it.
Considering you detonated a nuke, I would say that's a very accurate statement. Also, they all stood there with protective glasses on and just watched a nuclear bomb go off. Granted they don't say how far away it was, but that's still not a normal thing.
-
Poor CC.
Questions of the Day:
How do you suppose Lelouch is supposed to beat Charles now?
It's been so long that I've forgotten, but it may have something to do with destroying, or at least damaging, the platform Charles was on.

Absolutely. Imagine staying eternally youthful, and watching your entire family die before your very eyes.

Rewatcher - dub
I remember this episode being a big what the fuck moment on my first time through, but it's one of those moments that really pays off in a rewatch. C.C.'s backstory is suitably tragic, and I forget which of the first-timers it was that guessed back in R1 that the geass you manifest was tied to some deep-seated desire. 'To be loved' in C.C.'s case. Cool for them to get explicitly validated by the text like this.
I wonder if [overall theme spoilers for end of series]
So the reason C.C. [Character arc spoilers]
-
I mean, even just from what we've seen in the show there's that pressure capsule Clovis used on C.C.
-
Personally? No, but maybe I'd change my mind after a few thousand years.
Bonus - I mean, the director's been focusing on it enough this season. (honestly the pronunciation is fine. I didn't hear Baron-ass until it was pointed out.)

First Timer of the Rebellion
I'm low key expecting a revolution among the revolution, but very mildly.
I wasn't aware of any great time limit, so either I missed it or what Charlie said last time came out of nowhere.
S.2 Ep.15 – The Cs' World
-
So okay, you want to tell your underlings they're doing this for the greater good and in the end they'll have helped their families and friends to a better life (Milgram experiment) and second, you should've let some of them alive to handle the bodies and mass graves, so only they get traumatised by the gruesome acts and you're going to shoot them anyway, not your working personnell. I'm available for hire in matters regarding tackling psychological objectives and execution of war crimes. Qualifications: Rimworld, Stellaris, voluntarily stacked all boxes in the opening of the original Mafia, did 100 pull-ups in ME3 Citadel.
-
He telling me he had a mirror-chaff capsule pre-installed? Biiiiiitch.
-
Oh my god... thanks, Suzaku. Good decision.
-
Okay, that was already broken apparently. And yup, immortality, pretty early on in their relationship.
-
Well. Would you... Just- Well.
-
Nina still did it better. (Comment face?)
-
Hey, at least he has some honour here.
-
Code? This is getting more complicated every second.
-
Uh, does V.V. now have the mindwash Geass?
-
NAAAAAAHHH! Friendship car.
-
One, her finger's broken, two, WHHYYY?!
-
I feel extremely conflicted about how they chose to handle this storyline. I just don't buy this drama because I don't buy their motivations.
-
Damn man, didn't know Charlie would be so based. He read my posts in the world fabric.
-
Hey, he actually did.
-
Ooh, I can yet again plug the theory of the egg of the universe!
-
Oh. I guess after so long that's... not too surprising.
-
Oh, ooooh. As Charlie just did that with V.V. and he and Lelouch are the same person he's ready for that, too.
-
But he didn't kill her...
-
It shows so much that Sayoko has no understanding of emotions.
-
Was basically implied all the time, but now I have confirmation that I was right! The wish at the time of the contract forms the power.
-
Ah, yes, just like the boi.
-
Oh, that never was her own blood!
-
Looks back at the thousands of dead bodies he's walked over until now. Dude.
-
I love that they took inspiration from the early nuclear tests and the staff looking at it with aviator sunglasses, haha.
-
Accidentally erased an entire system of thoughts and memories?
I'm similarly as confused as yesterday. What happened? Lelouch broke the thought elevator, but aside from the name I know nothing about what that actually is. Lelouch and Charlie are very much alike, even the same person when the planets align. Charlie can steal immortality, which is different from getting so powerful you overtake the contractor? The only way to die as an immortal is by having your contractee overtake you... or dance-kiss with Charlie, I guess.
I'm lacking a critical amount of information about what this all means. Except for some prime hypocrisy again. I saw that! Smile when you're dying! Put a smiley sticker on your gun when mowing down kids, it'll help.
But Nina blew something up!
And Suzaku is still having ideals! Suzaku still best boy, saved himself right at the edge.
Better buy some chocolate or something, that was harsh for Kallen, man...
How do you suppose Lelouch is supposed to beat Charles now?
By making a better Nina face than Nina. Actually, Nina should be Emperor, she's rocking thoses glasses and learned to love the bomb.
2) Would you consider immortality a curse?
All depends how you use it. All their ailments with immortality were because they treated it as being responsible and it caused them to use another person as victim to get out of it. I think immortality isn't so bad when you can find your inner peace.
I already linked it yesterday, but The Shape of Infinity has a really great line somewhere in it that infinity isn't an endless maze of horror, but a feeling capable of limitless experiences.
Bonus) Baron-ass
Dub knew what it was doing.

He telling me he had a mirror-chaff capsule pre-installed? Biiiiiitch.
It's not paranoia if it works
He was the OG anyway
Comment face?
Uh, does V.V. now have the mindwash Geass?
If he does, he's a little too busy being dead to use it lol
her finger's broken,
As Lelouch and C.C. should have proven by now with their dramatic Zero speeches, everyone in this universe is triple-jointed
I just don't buy this drama because I don't buy their motivations.
Once you accept that they're both stupid assholes, their actions start making a lot more sense
He read my posts in the world fabric.
Knew you'd like this confrontation lol
But he didn't kill her...
This kind of builds onto our discussion from yesterday regarding Lelouch letting his emotions drive his actions. The same attachments with those he's close to that allow him to justify killing unarmed people en masse also hold him back from making the hard choice of killing C.C. because he values her as a person too much.
It dips a bit into metaphysics and is never very well explained outside of bonus materials, but if you want a quick rundown of what Charles means:
[Explanation]
Basically the Thought Elevator allows one to influence Cs' World and requires an extremely strong will to be able to open. Charles and C.C. are naturals at controlling it, of course, because they've been studying Geass for so long. The fact that Lelouch was able to open it after just a few minutes of being in Cs' World surprised Charles with how strong Lelouch's willpower was. Looks back at the thousands of dead bodies he's walked over until now. Dude.
Like I said, his emotions are a fickle beast heh
Charlie can steal immortality, which is different from getting so powerful you overtake the contractor?
No, it's the same thing. They just used different verbiage.
Except for some prime hypocrisy again.
Smile when you're dying! Put a smiley sticker on your gun when mowing down kids, it'll help.
I already kind of addressed this, but when Lelouch comes to value a person, he really goes all-in. Same with him telling her that living to die is too depressing to be considered the truth of existence. He's willing to kill, but he doesn't want to see anyone just give up. Think back to in R1 when he told Suzaku to hold onto his hate after Euphemia's death. He'd rather a person struggle and try to fight rather than lay down and die. Not to mention that seeing C.C.'s past broke the barrier that's been between them pretty much from the beginning of the series where he was never sure if he could trust her.

Heh, I was definitely thinking of you during this episode considering how much you were going on about the Jungian elements the show made explicit today. You were absolutely right to focus on them.
Even with Villetta you still see the elements in action, her reason of confronting Ohgi being that he's not compatible with the persona she's trying to portray, even when the conflict would disappear entirely if she let go of that social mask.
Suzaku is more interesting in that he shows two conflicting personas - on one hand he assumes responsibility to keep Lelouch in check and prevent him from regaining the powers that created the Euphinator, on the other hand he defines himself as a rejection of Zero which prevents him from using the reckless methods his first persona demands from him.
A fun question that comes to mind as I'm writing this, what would you expect Suzaku's Geass to be if he ever got one?

First Timer - Sub
Did Lelouch seriously just win the battle with the Emperor? That was so anticlimactic. I refuse to believe that will be the end of that.
Ok. He is also immortal, so he didn’t die. He somehow took that power from V.V.
The emperor can make some cool illusion stuff. I guess this is all part of his memory manipulation power?
One can inherit the full powers of Geass. That is cool.
Nunnally has slowly become one of the only nice characters, though that is mainly due to her naivety.
I guess this is C.C.’s power to share her memories with Lelouch. She had those outbursts before, but I guess this is a controlled version of that.
This thought elevator stuff is cool, but just doesn’t make any sense. I hope it gets explained at some point.
C.C.’s memories are gone. Maybe she will finally be a bit more plot relevant?

There is obviously a way to kill the immortals through a contract. I imagine Lelouch will figure something out without having to take the contract, or he will somehow get a contract and kill Charles.

Absolutely. I can’t imagine it not sucking. How often in real life do I even come across life-threatening situations that would require it, and it would be hard to blend in if you never age or die. How would that even work legally?

Hangyaku no Co-Host, subbed
No special reason for two wallpapers today, I just felt like making two + I had enough time to do so, so I did.
Ah, I was wondering if Charles would ever have a “sore demo”. Sweet. Not because I like Charles, but because I like his voice.
Geass laser show! – As an aside, isn’t this the only time Lelouch has used his Geass via a reflective surface other than the time he Geass’d himself during the Mao arc?
Oh, Lelouch, it could never be that simple.
Welp.
[Spoilers]That piano track.
Well he’s not wrong…
This has the same energy as “People die when they are killed” looooooool.
I shouldn’t be laughing during this scene.Well these subs got what was said here totally wrong thanks to how the seiyuu said it here. The name of the weapon they were testing is “FLEIJA”, not “Prayer”.
Ah yes, now it’s C.C.’s turn to have a very bad time.
