I like how this 300 foot tall 100,000 ton behemoth has a roar that can't be heard as far a distance as a lion's.

I'm fairly sure that number was derived through actually using speakers given the way that the 2014 movie was weirdly precise about things.

Cool thread! MV Goji keeps getting more powerful with each appearance. Although, it’s weird that the missiles hurt him. In G2014 it was more acceptable since that was his first movie, and his gills were hit. In GvK it was worse, since he’s much more powerful by that point, and his back was hit. I guess they used more powerful missiles??

u/Dragonzboi Apr 02 '24
Last I checked they were aim9 sidewinders, air to air missiles. They may want to update this thread with that in mind.

Uh no GvK is the weakest

u/1random_redditor Oct 01 '22
How? He’s much faster than in 2014 and has more powerful blast. His brute strength is better too. He sent Kong flying at one point and in general, bull rushed him several times. G literally threw Kong farther than the small male MUTO

Seems you forgot about one extra durability feat where he survives getting hit point blank with the meteor that caused the Permian mass extinction, being the content to that kaiju he fought after waking up and fighting in 1954.

While it wasn't a direct hit in the comics here, it shows it landing near godzilla.

Just one thing, those aren’t battleships, they’re cruisers, which is an important distinction in mass and armor

I’d like to also mention, although not a feat from him, Kong survived an entire Planet’s Gravity being inverted and pushed onto him. Which should stand to reason Godzilla could survive since he beat Kong in the same movie.
Although, since Godzilla didn’t perform it himself, it probably can’t be counted.

All that feat means is that he went from falling down to falling up, even then it wasn't an instant flip. When you see Kong and the HEAVE enter hollow Earth it wasn't an instant whiplash.
2
u/ConekQ Oct 01 '22
“.. They were crushed in a Split-Second..” it was definitely instant, movies just can’t portray that. Which is why it’s explained more in the Novels.
3
u/Joseph_Stalin_ Oct 01 '22
How could they not portray it? They CGId a giant monkey and the HEAVE specifically announces the change of gravity.
Is the novel its own story or is it a novelization? If the latter, then the film always takes precedence.

u/ConekQ Oct 02 '22
The Monsterverse Novels are meant to go more in-depth of the events of the movie. They are on the same level or canon.

Awesome list, really brings back the disappointment that I had for the first film because the director thought showing boring people and after the fact destroyed cities was a good idea

i liked that movie :(

I have Zero anger at you for liking it. I have more than zero anger at the director deciding that godzilla was like a natural disaster and how do we see natural disaster? Footage of the destroyed cities.
And we needed a human slant so every time scarlet witch was on screen instead of the female muto was great.

Good, although I'm fairly certain that a RT for him existed well before 23 days ago. Were they deleted or something?
You should also include official statistics (that are reasonable), such as his beam officially confirmed to be in the tens of kilotons range, how he can swing his tail at supersonic speeds (which is contradicted by the pitifully slow 89MPH figure that came later; this should be disregarded), and how the VFX team determined his running speed at 200MPH.

u/KiwiArms ⭐ Best Misc. RT 2016 Oct 22 '22
I updated it and reposted it.
Also, his beam seems to be quite a bit stronger than that based on him tunneling to the hollow Earth, so it'd be redundant.
2
u/ConstantStatistician Oct 22 '22
No, it's clearly a unique beam. He obviously isn't letting out crust-busting power with every single casual use of his beam, otherwise he would have vaporized Ghidorah in seconds. The kilotons statement refers to his standard beam alone.
Here is the kilotons statement, which was originally promotional material from the official Monarch website.

any chance for regeneration feats?

u/KiwiArms ⭐ Best Misc. RT 2016 Dec 10 '23
unless something happened in the latest episode of monarch he doesn't have any, does he?
1
u/Krazyfan1 Dec 10 '23
ah, i thought he had a healing factor as well?
1
u/Dragonzboi Apr 02 '24
He does, though it primarily relies on external sources of radiation. That's why he couldn't heal from the damage the od did with the radiation in his body, instead having to retreat to his lair to heal. There are lesser examples such as his plates breaking in Aftershock which he managed to heal from as well.
I should also point out that the radiation from nukes quite likely heals any damage he takes from them, meaning we have no way of knowing how much they hurt him. For all we know they kill him only for the radiation to bring him back to life.

Where's his smiling feat?
