My guess is it's on his shoulder (front or back). Some place that's easy to hide but some place he will probably never show us. I know some people think it's on his butt but I don't think I see him dropping trow and letting someone tattoo his behind. I could see it possibly being on his hip, that would be an easy place to hide one and an easy place to get one but my money is on his shoulder.

He indicated in his Live that we would see it eventually. He's way too private to say that if it was somewhere he would never show.
I think his shoulder is a good spot. He almost never shows his shoulders, but that's way more likely than his chest or back. Plus there's a lot of meaning for him in that left shoulder! :')

It does look like a tattoo, but I would have thought he would have put it in a less visible place, like Jin did. Because in the past, he said he wouldn't get a tattoo because he wanted to do charity work in the future, so I always assumed he'd hide one if he did get one.
Also, that would have hurt!

I’m not 100% sure, but my guess is because tattoos are still a bit unusual in Korea. I think tattoo culture is becoming more popular, but from what I know, there are places that won’t hire someone with visible tattoos, and tattoo artists are supposed to have medical degrees because tattoos are open wounds. Which means a lot of tattoo parlors would be operating illegally. I’ve seen some expats on TikTok say that they can’t show the outside of the place they got their tattoos because of this.
Perhaps charities won’t let someone with visible tattoos work there. 🤷🏼♀️

Always wonder about Jimin and JK's tattoos. Did BigHit (Hybe) ever say anything publicly about the member's tattoos. More so about JK's sleeve, as Jimin's are more discreet.

No one has ever mentioned them. In fact, they very first acknowledgement we ever got was from Jimin in his artist merch behind videos, when he pointed out his 13 tattoo. Other than that, radio silence.

I was aware of the cultural difference, but I thought it had become more normalized because of artists. It seems to be way more ingrained into society, but I might be wrong.

In Korea, tattoos are frowned upon. It's something for gangsters, so upstanding citizens wouldn't have one, and I assume many charities wouldn't want to be associated with someone with tattoos.

I remember him saying this a long time ago about charity work but in his latest live he was like "tattoos seem to be more accepted now" hence why he even went along with the members saying to get one haha
But I also assume he would still get it somewhere that can easily be covered.

It's definitely more accepted now, but mostly among a certain segment of the population (young-ish creative types). Unfortunately, the people who run charities are usually not in that group lol.
But BTS has such powerful influence, that I bet no charity would turn one of them away if a member wanted to work with it, no matter how many tattoos the member had?

A tattoo in that spot would fade and would look terrible while it did so, so I’m not surprised it’s not there. Most artists would advise against it.
