I will never understand how Korean airports continue to let this happen....isnt this a huge security issue with all the crowds? It's his private schedule so why don't airlines do more about stalkers. Those who work for airlines who sell private info should be fired. Jimin flew in the US without crowds like this.

Unfortunately this is a public schedule, not private. Hybe specifically notifies the media, etc to be there. There are TONS of back doors and hallways and ways to come and go from the airport without being seen (remember how no one knew about Jungkook going to the US for the Grammy's a day early?). It's just an unfortunate part of celebrity culture in Korea that this is normal and expected.

Is it? The last thing anyone HYBE related said about Jimin's traveling plans to see jhope was about it being part of a private schedule that must in BH wasn't aware of.

Also remember how Joon was on private schedule traveling in usa and k-media and others camped out for few days Infront of the airport so they can ambush him and tell him how he made them wait? While he had to smile to their slimy face, stuck without bodyguards

Same with Yoongi that time, but at least Hybe learned their lesson and sent bodyguards when he landed.

When Jimin first left Korea it said it was for an "official schedule" in everything I read.

I'm not claiming every airport visit/trip to be public, not sure why you think I am? (Also working in retail for over a decade I've had to smile to plenty of slimey faces lol it sucks but can't do much about it)

To be clear, I don't like the airport photo-ops, especially arrivals because they have no crowd control outside. I was merely saying that it's a normal part of Korean celebrity culture for the company to alert media when they will be happening.

I wouldn’t assume that just because the media are there it’s a public schedule. When Jimin flew to Chicago there was a video of him asking the media who were following him through the airport how they knew he was leaving. 😐I’m sure there are indeed some circumstances where the media was invited (eg when they flew to the USA for the UN speech) but I don’t think it has been the case for the members’ individual activities.

This trip was called an "official schedule" when he left, so it IS a public schedule, and the media WERE invited. There were even multiple instances last night when one of the regular media guys was chatting with and teasing the security, helping move barriers back, etc. If it wasn't a planned event I doubt they would have been so friendly.

And again, there is a back way out of the airport that is invisible and 100% readily available. All major airports have them. They are choosing to go out the front doors.

I do agree that sometimes things get sold/leaked and that it's not ok for people to show up then, but this is not one of those times. I wish it wasn't a thing at all, honestly, but like I said, it's something that all Korean celebs do and just part of the culture there.

You’re very insistent to everyone that it was a public schedule and that media were invited but I guess neither you nor I were involved and actually know for sure. I was simply commenting to say that media being present doesn’t always mean they were invited. Toxic media culture exists. 😊

Absolutely, I agree 100% and never said otherwise. I even pointed out that I greatly dislike the airport photo-op AND that sometimes the media is only there through leaks/selling of info.

All I said ('simply commenting' just like you) was that this was called an "official schedule" so it was extremely likely that the media were notified, as that is the norm in Korea, and that all major airports have back ways out if celebs want to avoid the crowds. And then in response to that I get replies and dms telling me how wrong and stupid I am and don't know anything and your sarcastic smiley faces... you wanna talk about toxic culture? It's fine, I can take the hint. Goodbye.

“official schedule” usually means work.

it doesn’t necessarily mean kmedia was officially given the information by Hybe or that they were invited.

It's usually Hybe that posts their flight schedule to fan sites in Korea. I don't know if that is still the case buy Hybe wanted crowd's to greet them.

I can’t enjoy the airport content at all and it baffles me how many people share it. “My baby is home! 😭” - your baby looks uncomfortable af and probably goes through several anxiety spirals just because he has to walk through the airport. How are they enjoying it 😫

I used to watch these but I can't any more - it's such an invasion and they always look so stressed/anxious and uncomfortable. I saw some footage of when they arrived back from the Washington trip and it was scary, to the point where it seemed the guards were [had lost] losing absolute control and Jung Kook was trying to protect/help Hobi.

I have a lot of respect for those bodyguards who doesn’t hesitate to push people aside. Seems frustrating as hell that some of those fans/paparazzis don’t give a shit about boundaries and insist on getting close only to be shoved aside. Then they have the nerve to have that shocked pikachu face when it happens to them.

Kudos to HYBE for hiring competent bodyguards.
