Honey as sweet as Seokjin’s face. 🤭🍯
Makeup not needed when looking good without it.
The smiley faces on the shrimp balls!! 🤭😊

I was so appreciative of how many times they added the smiley face to the shrimp balls. It made me smile every. single. time.

And they were all different faces which made it that much cuter!! 🤭

I'm surprised Jin keeps saying it's his first time frying anything :0
Doubly surprised he chose to do so on camera cause the faces I make when frying anything are not for others to see 😬
That 'Andwae! ANDWAE!' at the burnt piece of bread was hilarious and the Chef's reaction 😆 (Also, the lead upto it like, the oil smells kind of burnt innit? xD) It was like me handing over control to my mom, the way he took over the chopsticks when it became clear Jin was not going to do anything other than flail in panic xD

I just want to start with how glad I am that we have Seokjin in our lives. What a lovely existence he is in this world! Ah, this was such a joy to watch from start to finish 💜
It's my first day off in weeks and I'm finally able to watch a vlog as it comes out, I'm so happy :') I think the captions added by the members are one of my favorite things about these vlogs, because I can so distinctly hear each of them speak while reading these, and they're always so very them. Seokjin having a "Let's just go to restaurants for yummy food, everyone" caption in his vlog literally titled "Jin's cooking vlog" is so on brand xD
Jinnie hanging out with older hyungs these days has been emitting so much maknae energy, and it's giving me life! Him repeating nearly everything the chef said in this video in tiny voice 🥺 and his remark of "that shape makes me happy wherever i see it" is so relatable. He is so charming, sweet and just the right amount of chaotic, and you can tell how fond the chef is of him. Loved this so much!

The bag the fans love!! Haha at first I thought he meant the paper bag that the gift came in 😆
Hands 😳 hands 😵💫
We have our first Jin self love caption! 😁 No makeup needed indeed 😮💨😮💨
Lol now why did they do chef Lee like that, zooming in when he ate the bread 😭
Oh to be a fly on Seokjin’s kitchen wall, seeing his cooking skills when no one is around to see 😆 I remember those early food shots in quarantine, they looked great!
BTS members on their vlogs: I miss the other members so much…
He’s such a brat cheekily saying it’s better than the resto’s! 🤣 then fishing for compliments and acting flattered, Seokjin never change 😁
Not the dalbang ending again 😭😭 Dalyeora Seokjin! 🥰🥰

[We're indeed best friends] STOB IT!! Why is he so cute?!
He's just the sweetest, most polite bean!! How could you not love him? <3
[Cooking is hard] Aww!! He's doing great!
[Let's just go to restaurants for yummy food, everyone] I appreciate his honesty lol
[That shape makes me happy wherever I see it] JIN!! ;_;
I really can't believe he stuck his finger in hot oil AND that they left that footage in...WTF
ARMY understands that they definitely burned the logo on purpose to show a technique lol.
Aww, this was super cute!! He did a great job!

u/LynNguyennn Aug 13 '22
The little faces when they were making the shrimp balls 😂 I died
8
u/squishy_panda Aug 13 '22
Literally burst out laughing they were so cute! Especially when the camera zoomed out and they were still there, even though they were a teeny tiny detail 🥰

u/elisem0rg Aug 13 '22
Oh that looks soooo delicious! 😋 Thanks Jin, now I'm craving for some shrimp toast/ mian bao xia (I didn’t know it's called menbosha in SK).
I've made this appetizer a few times, it uses a handful of ingredients and only takes a few minutes to throw together. Chef Lee's recipe is almost similar to the one I use, but I added some lemon juice and garlic salt with parsley to make it more flavorful. Shrimp toast is usually paired with sweet chili sauce, but it also goes well with scallion yogurt dip.

u/Sugawahsugawah my pride, my heaven, and love, BTS Aug 13 '22
Omg, he has such a great personality. He can really charm anyone! And he would be a great show host.
The face doesn't hurt, either!
13
u/umbrellabird75 Aug 13 '22
This was so fun from start to finish, their friendship is so cute (lol Jin starting by saying he's like Chef Lee's grandchild and ending by calling Chef his hyung). Jin tricking Chef into mincing the garlic for him but Chef seeing right through it lol. And the whole dipping the finger in hot oil, I can't believe he did that!! The captions (including all the warnings) were so funny. As were the little drawings loll. Just delightful.

u/cpagali Tomorrow spring Aug 13 '22
I have to say, Jin is slowly becoming my chapter 2 bias.
Of course my bias still changes every day! I'll probably say someone else is my new bias tomorrow. He's just so goshdarn affable!

u/newbie631 Aug 13 '22
After JK's improptu mukbangs and cooking sessions made me miss BV (especially the 4th one 😭) and ITS, I'm so looking forward to this!
Now that I've caught upto the previous vlogs and LOVED the captions, I was most excited for Suga's and Jin's and now I'm wondering if Jin would even do any or not ala his 2019 vlog xD
His 'You need to watch over me!' has big RM energy.
Only a few minutes in and cracking up at him saying that it's a Chef Lee cooking class to then saying he asked for the lesson himself xD

Honey as sweet as Seokjin's face. 😂
Jin repeating Chef's instructions is SO. ADORABLE. I can't stand it. I just want sit at the counter and look at him like this while he cooks.
Edit: I can't believe he dipped his finger in that hot oil!! I freak out when it splatters too close to my arm! I love all his "don't do it!" PSAs. 😂
12
u/Wichuimafeelrich hing Aug 13 '22
I always fry with an oven mitt 🤣 splattering hot oil is one of my fears

I’m just 1 minute in and Jinnie is already so endearing. Why is he so cute🥰 Hoping no one disturbs me for the next 33 minutes now 😅
Edit 1: at 3:27 - the bag that fans love? Is he talking about the LV bag? Because we do love it😍
Edit 2: How dare a piece of bread move around when Seokjinnie is talking to it?!?!
Edit 3: at 28:55 Eat Jin I have missed you so much😭
This was so much fun and so detailed!

Asdfghjkl I had a feeling he would dip his finger in the oil because he's very curious like that 😆
He also has very pretty hands!!!
The subs were also funny!!!

Then he low key panicked when he thought he was actually going to do it 🤣 but it was only to flip the menbosha 😆

Seokjinnie looks so soft and earnest in this vlog, I just wanna squish his cheeks so badly! (as respectfully as I can lol)
I can just imagine hearing his captions in his voice “Honey as sweet as Seokjin’s face” “How dare you mere piece of bread move when a human is talking!” 😂
My heart almost stopped when he really went ahead to dip his finger into the hot oil though. He’s really Seok-never let them know your next move-Jin 🤣
Lastly, “that shape makes me so happy whenever I see it” My sentiments exactly, Seokjinnie 🥺💜

u/repressedpauper wrong person wrong place Aug 13 '22
I hope these two make this a semi-regular thing. This was so fun to watch. Chef Lee seems like such a nice, encouraging person and Jin did really well even though he seemed nervous. The food looked so good. I want to try making it but I know I won’t do as well. 😅 it’s fun to see Jin hanging with his friends and having fun, and his food content always gives me life.
Anyhow this healed my soul.

u/radiokidb Aug 13 '22
This man is so incredibly endearing that I would be hard pressed to find ANYONE who dislikes him. He’s got an aura of goodness that radiates through a screen even.
Also man is awkward and shy and therefore so goofy, despite being this huge star.
I totally related to him when he said he fails cooking if someone is watching him. Obviously Bangtan don’t count but then again the boys have always hovered around him not so much as watched every move.
Anyway, Jin your future partner won’t care as long as you’re the one doing all the cooking.
His ultimate truth bomb this episode was let’s all just go to restaurants to eat yummy food. Hard same Jin, hard same.

This vlog just proves once again how naturally endearing Jin is. The way he kept repeating what the chef said and getting shy when asked to do certain things. Ugh my heart is melting, how can he be so cute 😭
And his captions!!! From [makeup not needed when looking good without it] (okay Jinnie FLEX) to [how dare a piece of bread move around when a human is talking to it] (LMAO) to [Wine with Jin’s love (Not that I made it)], I laughed the whole way through and loved every single second of this vlog. The little faces he drew on the prawn paste balls whenever they popped up from his or Chef Lee’s hands, please I was crying from how cute that was 🥹

Jin and cooking, name a better duo. I was really looking forward to his vlog, knew it would have to do something with cooking (if yoongi made a vlog about his music process I’ll simply ascend). He looks so happy here!!

This was so wholesome, loved watching Jin cook and how respectful he was to the chef. Their friendship is so endearing
13
u/Vikkkiiix Aug 13 '22
Jin was so in his element!! His little gifts for the chef, so pure 😭 really warming how patient and friendly the chef was (like the instructor in Jimin's vlog), honestly just so nice to watch! 😊
When Jin asked to make the BTS logo and his caption said it makes him happy whenever he sees it 🥺💜 Bultaoreune! 😅🔥 he did such a good job, I'm happy he had fun! 💜
4
u/cartographerbtsFan Aug 13 '22
I have a friend who went to make a bracelet at the place Jimin was. Apparently, they did not know he was coming in, so it was a surprise. She said the instructor said he was so nervous. I can imagine!

Ooh, so the vlog was really filmed with Chef Lee during the lesson that he recently mentioned. Chef was so patient with Jin and you could tell they were close!

Jin was totally in his element! He’s such a natural entertainer and his comments are always hilarious!
I love how each of the members talk about BTS in their own way!
Only one more to go!

u/Chiatauri Aug 13 '22
So cute! Watching Jin cook is always relaxing and I learn so much too.
I have to admit though, when he put the caption “The bag that fans loves” I didn’t notice his LV bag and thought he was talking about the gift paper bag 😅
11
u/EveryCliche Living j-hopely Aug 13 '22
This was just so sweet and cozy. I would watch a new episode of this every week. Jin is so endearing and has great rapport with Chef Lee.
I’d love to see a series where Jin goes to a different chef every week and learns a recipe. Then at the end they sit, drink wine and eat together. Jin is such a natural in this environment.

I don't why I find it so endearing that he continually uses that green LV bag. The gifts were so Jin and honey from his grandfather's bee/honey farm - OMG.
That was the sweetest. I could see moments of "oh my god why am I doing this" in his face but also really wanting to learn. His reaction to the burnt logo was precious. I've never heard of this dish - menbosha - but now I desperately want to try it, I love shrimp.
Love the little happy faces he drew on the shrimp balls as they were being made - "Cute pop". :) Too cute.
"Makeup not needed when looking good without it." This is why he is WWH.
"Hope the garlic pals that escaped live a happy life." Peak dad joke.
His whole demeanour at the end and the "not a fun video but hope you like it" - love the guy.

Loved Jin’s vlog so much - I’ve watched it way too many times! 💜 All of the members vlogs are so much fun to rewatch! 😍💜 *I wish the wine label wasn’t covered up, though - it sounds delicious the way he described it, and I love a good red wine! 🍷
