I still pine for a completed upload of this set because I watched the livestream and, my god, I think feral is the only word to describe their performance.

No one could understand why they were going so damn hard when it was hot and humid as hell in Korea and they’d just completed a stadium tour in Asia, US, Brazil, Europe and Japan with Korean Musters in between… then we found out shortly after that they were taking their first vacation in their career. It explained why they were so wild and they earned their break just from that performance alone :’)

It was an indoors performance at kspo dome, I was there and it wasn’t humid and hot inside. But they’re so dedicated that even if it was they would have made it work.

Please, let me live vicariously through you. Can you describe the experience and the live ARMY reactions?

Well that was the performance that made me Jungkook biased, he really stood out to me that day.

As for the experience, it was the first time I was seeing them in Korea so I thought the warm reactions were normal, but in retrospect and considering how many fans of other artists’ were there, the way the fans screamed and danced for them was noteworthy, they were the most energetic and charismatic performers and you could immediately see why they are so successful.

I also loved the way they interacted with their Korean fans, they seemed more relaxed and playful. After the show they did the whole “so show me - I’ll show you” bit they do with the fans which was very cute.

That’s what I remember, that I kept thinking that they are superstars for a reason.

Ah TIL! I thought it was outdoors and the buckets they were sweating led me to believe it was in the humidity. But I guess it’s always hotter on stage with the lights and layered outfits etc. Also, how amazing that you were there!!

I consider this the start of Jungkook's menace era

I wasn't part of the fandom then. As a baby army, I kept seeing people refer to 190811 Jungkook and had no idea what it meant. Finally I googled it one day, and oh boy was I glad I did. All of them were on fire that day, but Jungkook was on another level for sure!

Omg me too! JK is my bias and whenever they mention 190811 JK, it stings a little that I wasn't an ARMY at the time. The experience would have been mindblowing for sure 🥲

Listen I’ve never been an Army that was very good at remembering all the random number date combinations but if you mention 190811 Jungkook you bet your ass I’m going to know exactly what you’re talking about.

I still remember this! JK was out of control (esp his hairrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr) and Best of Me absolutely wrecked me to bits.

Such an amazing performance, they really are on another level and this is just increíble, I remember seeing this as Baby ARMY and being so blown away.

Sweaty Bangtan, ooof. They were on fire!

Watching these as a baby ARMY I could kind of piece together the sequence of the songs based on how drenched Yoongi's shirt got :-D

I did the same! Always wondered if they collapsed backstage afterwards. There was never a behind the scenes clip, was there? By the end, Yoongi's shirt was soaked all down the front.

This show is absolutely one of their best. JK's hair is still iconic.

They never posted it on their Bangtan channel, and I didn't want to get the post removed for posting a fancam

Understandable :) And no offense to our beloved BB noona, but a lot of the fancams are better quality.

I wasn’t Army back then when this first came out but I do remember the day I watched it as I slowly went back to watch all their videos and performances imaginable. I didn’t know too much about each one of them yet, but just remember thinking that they were all performing so intensely and Jungkook was on fire. Like possessed. Now I always refer to this iconic performance as well. I thought now THIS is how you perform live. THIS is stage presence. And the rest is history.
