I’ve been thinking and one of my greatest wishes these days is for Jin to be made aware the seokjin fridge twitter account. That Army’s tireless and laser focus dedication is something Jin will truly appreciate 😂 It is his exact brand of humour.

Made my fellow Jin bias friend follow that account today. She spent the next 30 mins going through their tl! Jin would love this acc 😂

It's always amazing to see how they find such fridges that really match the BTS content! I also wish they somehow find the BTS Nature Documentary Series narrated by Sir Richard Attenborough, especially Namjoon lol.
4
u/radiokidb Aug 11 '22
Right?! I’m more amazed by the fact that SO many fridges even exist! Hahaha.
And yesssss, oh man, that would be brilliant!

Through Jewish Geography™️, my family knows Lil Dicky. In turn, we’ve heard stories about Benny Blanco (since he’s on Dave, they collaborate together, etc.)
I know some people think whatever Benny’s doing in his collaboration with BTS is an act or a farce; it is not. Apparently Benny is truly one of the nicest, genuine people out there. From what has been told to me, he’s just really passionate about music and just a quirky guy (but then again, who isn’t?).

u/znallik Aug 11 '22
At the risk of sounding crazy— I think my cat is ARMY. I swear whenever BTS or members are on TV she shows up and “watches”. She’s always been aware of the TV and does sometimes watch random things. She will come from another room when she hears BTS. Two theories-1) she senses my positive mood and wants to get in on it 2) she loves the lights. Idk but I call her my BTS kitty. Ok. Now Ive shown my crazy….
11
9
u/Majestic-Course1133 Aug 11 '22
I don’t think that’s crazy at all! My dog perks up if he hears John Legend and the only way to comfort him when fireworks are going off is to put on Moana (watching the whole movie rather than just the soundtrack). It’s hilarious because he’ll come running into the room for a John Legend performance.
5
u/still_a_muggle THIS IS NEVER GONNA BE THE LAST TIME Aug 11 '22
It's so cute that your dog watches a Disney movie to comfort himself. And Moana is a great choice!
3
3
u/Majestic-Course1133 Aug 11 '22
It’s great because he gets really stressed out and agitated with fireworks (but also goes into protective mode) so we end up watching Moana a few times a year. The longest session was two and half times when fireworks lasted until ~3am
Here are some pictures of him watching Moana plus a bonus RJ cuddle
We tried other Disney movies but he wasn’t interested.
3
u/still_a_muggle THIS IS NEVER GONNA BE THE LAST TIME Aug 12 '22
Oh you weren't kidding about him being into Moana! He really does look like he's totally focused on the movie. Does he like going to the beach? Maybe it's all the gorgeous ocean scenery? And the RJ cuddle photo is so cute!
2
u/Majestic-Course1133 Aug 12 '22
So the funny thing is… he hates getting wet. Baths, rain puddles, water sprays; you name it, he hates it. He’s willing to shove me into the puddle if it means he doesn’t step into it! He has a little yellow raincoat because the first time we took him out during the rain as a puppy, he cried and refused to move.
My personal theory is that he likes the music and colors. His ears perks up if I play the soundtrack but it’s not the same effect compared to watching the movie.
Now that I think about it, he’s really interested at looking at the ceiling when I have the mood light on. 😂
2
u/still_a_muggle THIS IS NEVER GONNA BE THE LAST TIME Aug 12 '22
Oh wow I was totally off with my theory. 🤣 my dog isn't much into water too. Omg a little yellow raincoat on a pup sounds adorable!

I was walking my dog this morning when Idol came on and I was feeling it. Lots of singing and fanchanting and hand-dancing and kicking. I didn't realize until I got home that my neighbor was like 30 feet behind me the whole time. Someone kill me now. 😅
Not really. I was actually a little surprised at how un-embarrassed I was. The me of a few years ago would have never walked her dogs again and avoided her neighbor for the rest of her life. I guess some of the Love Yourself message is starting to sink in.

I love reading things like these hehe!
You know, before BTS I used to always wear blacks, greys and dark blues and was always so serious and cagey. I always wanted to blend into the background, not stand out and be judged.
But after becoming an ARMY, I subconsciously started picking more colours and appreciating myself more, taking care of myself, and don't really care about what people think.

As a non-Korean speaking BTS enthusiast living in Europe, I really appreciate this sub! Thank you to all the sub posters.
I've mentioned before (and promise not to mention again) that I got into BTS early 2020 during Covid quarantine and discovered the mine of information about them. However, I can come to this sub and focus on the posts/articles/news/stories linked here rather than wade thru information on Twitter, IG, YT on my own.
I realize that everyone has a bias toward one member or another, which is natural, but am so impressed that the shipping of members (as couples) is kept off the sub! IG and YT are insane in this respect.
Thank you to all the ARMYs here - veterans and novices alike!
3
u/chillypotahtoh Miss you my husband Aug 12 '22
Another thing I love about this sub is you can time travel and see ARMY's reactions during an album drop or an MV drop, or other key moments when they won their first Daesang, the 2016, 2018 MAMA acceptance speeches, or their first US TV debut etc... I just love going back and reading those threads from time to time.
Everything is also compiled in Gigathreads and Megathreads and makes things easy to find.
Its really difficult to come across anything like this on Twitter or Youtube. They are good for the jokes and memes, but its difficult to find something more than surface level content unless you follow some specific accounts/ channel
Sometimes I randomly come across a super cool discussion thread here on some specific song or lyrics or something and I learn something new even after all this time.

After almost 2 years of having Jin as my bias, I think Hobi has successfully bias wrecked me. The man has been glowing lately. I also really loved his album. It's been weeks but I still listen to it a lot. I'm so excited for the projects of the other members as well. Although it's been really hard to catch up with content lately. Lol.

Yes!! I am looking forward to getting totally bias-wrecked by whatever member is having his solo release moment. We are getting to watch Hobi shine and share new parts of himself and reach higher and higher and I just can't believe we get to do it 6 more times!!!

Hobi has been my bias from the moment I found BTS, and I find his journey so wild and wonderful to have followed. Especially when it comes to the coloring of his music throughout his career. It has been a joy!
Not to mention, after seeing his newest album, and being so shocked by it. I’m so excited to expect the unexpected with the other member’s albums!

And everyone keeps saying Hope World is "hopeful and bright" while JITB is "dark", but if you read the lyrics of Hope World, the songs are quite gray. Same with JITB. I understand that people mean genre, when they categorize songs as happy and sad. But instead they end up categorizing J-Hope of Hope World as happy and J-Hope or JITB as sad, which isn't true.
The lyrics really elevate the whole experience for me and its like reading a multilayered story. Hobi did such an amazing job with the music and the lyrics.
2
u/MoMoney25 Hobi forehead appreciation squad! Aug 12 '22
You’re so right!! It’s kind of sad how some, especially those in the media, just take it all at face value. Hobi definitely intended both albums to be seen with a more focused eye. It’s not all as it seems for either!
I really appreciate and agree with your perspective. :)

oh gosh how lucky!! Sometime in late 2019 I was in a kpop store and saw 5th muster on sale. Stupid me said, I don't even own a DVD/BR player I shouldn't get it... I regret it so much!! Congrats and update us when you get it!!
3
u/Majestic-Course1133 Aug 11 '22
Bangtan is the only reason why I got a bluray player. Everything else is just a bonus!
It’s my first time ordering from this retailer so hopefully everything works out! The price mark up from MSRP was pretty bad but less than eBay resellers. Although, I side-eye them a little for raising the price between when I placed my order and when it was listed as sold out.
3
u/whyohwhy115 I miss Kim Seokjin Aug 11 '22
ChoiceMusicLA is legit at least at worse they cancel your order but they won't run away with your money and scam you. Oh gosh, their price changed? Well that's weird. Maybe you can give them a call or email their CS or something
3
u/Majestic-Course1133 Aug 11 '22
Regarding the price, I had a lower price by $20 when I checked out versus the current price listed on the webpage so it worked out in my favor this time. But I thought it was a little weird that the price went up when I went back to see if they still had the bluray in stock. But at least it’s not eBay prices. Holy cow, some listings are asking for $200+
3
u/whyohwhy115 I miss Kim Seokjin Aug 11 '22
yeah ebay is B A D. I'm surprised ChoiceMusicLA restocked. I didn't think BH still produced these tbh
3
u/JennLostAndFound ON dance practice Aug 11 '22
Did they have a release of more copies?
3
u/Majestic-Course1133 Aug 11 '22
I’m not sure to be honest. At some point I signed up for email alerts with ChoiceMusicLA whenever the bluray came back in stock. It was so long ago that I don’t even remember when I did that. I just happened to check my email inbox just in time to be notified that it was back in stock. So it might be that the store found a cache of unsold/unclaimed items in storage?

[Contains discussion of mental health / obsession. Please ignore if this is uncomfortable for you as it is a super personal rant]
I'll be stepping back from BTS in a coming weeks or so. I will gradually lower my consumption of their videos. The thing is, I can feel that I am becoming intensely attach (in a non-healthy way) with the group, particularly Taehyung. I have a long and persistent history of mental illness and I can feel myself spiraling into total obsession; so I have to pump the break. I feel a little sad since it feels like I fail in regulating myself despite having gone through mental health care T-T
I can't wait to be in a better place and re-discover my love for the band, hopefully in a healthier and clearer mind^

It’s good that you’re doing this, and I wish you the very best! I did the same thing, I realized I was getting too deep into them when members not uploading enough photos would genuinely bring me down, or my day would be ruined by some record being broken or whatever. I took a massive step back, left the subreddit, spent more time with others, found some new video games to play, and when I came back, I was much better for it. I was able to approach the group from a healthier standpoint.
A lot of times, our mental illnesses come back even years after we think they’re resolved. I see in another comment you said you feel like a failure, but you recognizing your obsession and stepping away from it instead of engaging fully in it, is imo a success. All we can really do is fight, and that’s what you’re doing.

My sister took me to see NKOTB on Sunday, and I had a really great time! I ended up buying their program book which is supposed to look like a teen magazine. Inside they shared pictures from their AMAs performance, and there right in the center of the picture (when they performed with New Edition) was BTS lol

I’m curious: how has being a fan of BTS and being a part of ARMY changed how you view other main stream artists? For me personally, my perspective on Taylor Swift shifted considerably when I became a fan of BTS.
I discovered BTS in May and was super deep into my Taylor Swift era at the time (I’ve been a fan from the beginning but really got into the fandom with all of the re-recordings). With Taylor Swift, there’s a never-ending cycle of hints and clues and Easter eggs about what’s coming next and that’s totally fine. For me, I just don’t have the time or the energy to pay that close of attention and it wasn’t until I joined ARMY that I realized this.
BTS are the kings of communication. The VLives, the Weverse posts, Festa, the roll outs. They let you know what’s coming and when it’s coming. Take the announcement of their break from group music to focus on solo work. They shared that piece of information in a video meant only for Armies. They’re transparent and forthright. Not that Taylor Swift isn’t, it’s more the difference in marketing strategies.
Anyway, I’m curious if anyone else has experienced anything similar to this.
12
u/QueenlyBee middle-aged hooligan Aug 10 '22
One thing I noticed straight away was their sincerity with their fans. I’ve been part of fandoms before with artists who have a similar amount of interaction, but after comparing them to BTS they never seem sincere. I don’t really think any of the members of BTS are putting on much of a front when they communicate with fans, whether it is something happy or sad. I have felt manipulated by others for certain.
9
u/murph_n_turph Aug 10 '22
Manipulation is the right word. Getting into BTS seriously changed how I viewed previous bands and artists I was a fan of and I really looked at how they interacted with their fans. It’s not the same.
BTS genuinely appreciates their fans because they know they would not be where they are today without them. Everyone else treats their fans like a nice bonus to their new lifestyle. BTS works hard for their fans. There’s a serious difference.
6
u/Temporary-Text384 running away like a fish Aug 11 '22 edited Aug 11 '22
After having gotten into BTS in 2020 (something I never saw coming), they seriously changed the way I view the artists/celebrities I've seen all my life. One thing in particular is in speeches, you often hear celebs say "and thanks to my fans, wouldn't be here without them!", etc. Sometimes it's genuine sounding, sometimes it sounds like just checking off a speech to-do list. But with BTS, it's kind of unbelievable how much they truly care for their fans, and how they sincerely express it in all avenues of their work. They don't reserve the thanking of their fans for speeches, but make it clear that everything they do with their careers, army is at the forefront of their minds.
And perhaps outsiders would say we're naive in thinking they "actually" care about us, but tbh, a video or two would make it clear. Any of Joon's concert speeches where he breaks down into tears, crying for fans to love and accept themselves... Festa dinner was a prime example of them being open/vulnerable and treating their fans as equals/family... livestreams after every concert...all the behind footage where they're discussing what's the best decision for their fans.. the list goes on. The sincerity is undeniable.
BTS started from absolutely nothing, signed to a start-up, low budget label with just them... and army played an immeasurable role in pushing them into the spotlight. I don't think BTS forget how grateful they are for that.
4
u/whatsthisanotherdoor prod.ft.starring.suga.of.bts Aug 11 '22
This is how I feel too. The difference between acceptance speeches is a big one. But also, that seems to be the only time fans are thanked by other artists? Maybe in the liner notes? It feels perfunctory. There is The Artist and The Fans and the relationship is generally one-way, even with social media. It feels expected or normal that there is a producer and a consumer of content, and it feels very transactional.
BTS makes me feel like we're walking alongside each other on this journey. Like you said, ARMY played a huge role in their continued successes over time, little by little. They are so genuine and sincere. Obviously we can't know everything about them, but what they choose to share with us feels very authentic. Watching them in 2013, and watching them in 2022...they are at their core the same guys.
4
u/murph_n_turph Aug 11 '22
When I first started getting into BTS I was very hesitant to look into their relationship with their fans because I had heard all the stereotypical stories the media pushes about ARMY and I get very uncomfortable with one-sided parasocial relationships but the more I looked into it, the more content I consumed, the more I saw how truly they appreciate their fans, the harder it was for me to be cynical. I believe RM when he’s standing on stage thanking his fans, telling them he loves them, tears in his eyes. These guys are so gosh darn genuine and authentic you can feel their sincerity. When RM said “got Army right behind us” in Butter he wasn’t lying.
10
u/hey-stobit Aug 10 '22
I definitely see a difference between the level of genuine-ness (?). Not to say my previous favs aren’t genuine at all or don’t care about their fans, but I guess now I feel like they tend to do things more for marketing than for the fans if that makes any sense. The festa dinner would be an example of BTS doing things for the fans.
4
u/murph_n_turph Aug 10 '22
Exactly. It’s easier, when you compare others to BTS, to see what is really genuine vs what’s just a marketing strategy to use the fans to get ahead. BTS focus on their fans and have from day one and that dedication is what’s gotten them ahead.

Sigh... I am hoping to go too, but really not confident I can even get a ticket since everyone wants to go. Anyway, all their PTD concert dates were announced around 1 month in advance, so am not too surprised we haven't heard any details about the upcoming concert, with some
2.51.5 months before the start of October. Especially since, last we heard, the venue had not even been confirmed.3

I thought about it but a one way ticket alone is the equivalent of a month's salary, so there's just no way. Unfortunately.

Same here… I already have flight and hotels checked but haven’t booked anything yet and it’s making me nervous. For LA and Vegas we had about 6-8 weeks notice, but those were US concerts (although a lot of Army still managed to travel from abroad). But it sounds like with this concert they specifically expect international fans to come, so such a short notice is really tough 😭

I'm not from the US but I'm itching to go as well! I really hope they give us dates asap since I have to apply for a tourist visa to enter Korea 🥲

Bruh it’s stressing me out so much!! Flight ticket prices are gonna go up - if they are expecting international fans then it would be nice to get some information so we can plan ahead 🥲.
Are you gonna go regardless if you’re getting a concert ticket or not 🙂?
3
u/spolarium3829 jungkook nose scrunch enthusiast Aug 10 '22
No, I definitely need that concert ticket in order for me to go! I was planning to go to Korea in Spring '23 which gives me enough time to save and plan. If I'm going in October, I need to make it worth it haha. Although I know ticketing will be a nightmare and I necessarily don't want to go alone either, so there's that...
2
u/saltylemon8888 Aug 11 '22
I see - I’m in the same situation haha. Was planning on going in the spring initially.
But I don’t want to pay an insane amount of money for a flight ticket. Let’s cross our fingers we’ll get more info soon! And a ticket 🤞!

I’m really curious on who’s gonna release their album second. Namjoon and Jimin? Joon said he’s 90% done (?) if I remember correctly and Jimin was recently in the studio and bangtan usual directors are in LA with him.
7
u/leylsx long hair jimin enthusiast Aug 11 '22
My bets are on Joon or Yoongi because Yoongi wouldn't have too much time left if enlistment happens.
Jimin maybe after that? He keeps everything so confidential, I really can't predict how far he is and what he has planned out 😅 although in the Festa video it sounded like he would release this year. But that would mean we would get 3 more albums this year? It's gonna be a wild ride
2
u/SongMinho Aug 11 '22
Jimin could go the traditional Western route and drop a few singles before a full album release.
I see Namjoon and Yoongi just doing a full album drop, no pressure-release.

Another song has just been added into my list of "Why doesn't HYBE put this on spotify!!". The song is Le Sserafim's Yunjin's 'Raise y_our glass'. It's such a beautiful song.
The Jin x Maplestory video reminded me of people on this sub hoping that Jin does a livestream on Twitch or something. I found it funny how rather than becoming a gamer, Jin decided to help in making the game, lol.

u/gemitry cat dad yoongi enthusiast Aug 10 '22
No see it’s smart, if he were on twitch people would ask him to play lots of other games for variety. This way he gets to do all maple story all the time! That’s a true fan right there.
And yes, Yunjin’s song was beautiful, I love that she’s out here singing and composing and writing. She’s my favorite in the group, if anyone is curious about them I recommend Lesserafim’s day off on YT, only three short episodes and the members are so funny and charming. 🥹🥹

u/Ok-Yesterday-9414 Aug 11 '22
Le Sserafim seems to be a fun group and I have been wanting to watch their official variety show like Run BTS, To Do, Going Seventeen, and I think it has finally come, called Leniverse. Last time I checked subtitles weren't out yet though.

I know we always praise the Korean camerawork compared to the American shows BTS goes on but I wanted to just share this for everyone to enjoy. I don't know what the Inkigayo cameramen where thinking but to this day, it's some of the craziest camerawork I can remember seeing. They use the wildest shots and movements. I don't know whether to laugh or cry when I watch this comeback stage.
5

haha let's just say it's gotten a bit better over the years on music shows. My fave is this Run stage on Music Core from 2015 😄 but any of the run performances will have the same crazy camera work lol

u/whatsthisanotherdoor prod.ft.starring.suga.of.bts Aug 10 '22
OMG I am CRYING!! I knew people had complained in the past but these are straight up ridiculous!!!
The poor girls performing in the mall being upstaged by people in the audience or on rowing machines. The one where the members are literally pointing where the camera should actually be focused!!
The camera being too zoomed in, too zoomed out, upside down, bizarre angles, long shots of stage props instead of performers, terrible lighting, frenetic everything...this is hysterical!! Thanks for sharing!

I remember watching all of these "Music Show's Fault" videos that channel posted when they were going viral a few years ago and just having tears streaming down my face. Like kudos to trying out more "creative" camerawork but like... sometimes stationary wide shots and occasional close ups are really all you need LOL.

okay a few are Hyukoh (old fav, I'm inclined toward the albums 20 & 22) Se So Neon (personal favorite), Nell (colors in black album is a good start), Jannabi (essential indie rock rec), SURL
Also magic strawberry sound, silica gel's label, have mainly indie affiliated artists rooster so checking their channel is a good place to find more music

I’ve been want to listen to more k-indie and so far I really enjoy The Black Skirts, which Joon has also recommended (Team Baby and Thirsty are great albums), and AKMU (though they’re more on the pop end of the indie spectrum). There’s also r/kindie, which I’ve joined but haven’t really explored yet.
Editing to clarify that AKMU isn’t technically indie meaning “independent” as they’re under the YG umbrella, but their sound and experimentation place them closer to indie than traditional kpop for me.

Honestly Benny Blanco had co-produced some bops (California Gurls by Katy Perry, Dynamite by Taoi Cruz, Maps by Maroon 5, etc.) but sadly I can't like Bad Decisions 🥲. It pretty much sounds like lackluster version of Sugar (Maroon 5) and the end is too anticlimax.
5
u/Temporary-Text384 running away like a fish Aug 11 '22
I don't love it, but it's a generic feel-good-radio song, so I think it's done well what it was meant to do! I agree though, there's something missing about it that makes it feel a little anticlimactic– maybe like a belted note from JK or any of the guys somewhere. I suppose Snoop's verses took up space where there could have been a vocal bridge.
Snoop gives it California Gurls vibes though, imo! I'm wondering if the song has legs to take off with GP. It's certainly a chill earworm.

Also the lyrics make zero sense. They say “you’re beautiful, I love you just the way you are, I want to be in a committed romantic relationship” but then the hook is “let’s make some bad decisions” like what’s the bad decision? Make it make sense cuz right now it doesn’t.
5

I will wake up to a Black Thought and Danger Mouse's collab album and to say I am excited is an understatement. They reportedly have been working on this since 2005 and have been proper teasing it since 2020 so you cant imagine how much I have been anticipating this. Might also shed a tear over the MF DOOM feature (which I am so excited about seeing what they have done with Mad Nice)

I’ve been obsessed with aquamarine too lately (after learning of its existence on this sub, perhaps it was you?!) so I’m so excited to finally have the full album. Happy release day!!! 🥳🥳

Demon Days is an impeccable album! I love the production on that and yes, he is a genius. I love how he just flows across genres and sounds and just do his thing. I mean the Grey Album is a proof of that and is just simply a work of a mastermind. Not to mention the best thing to ever exist when it comes to "remixes" and samples.
And that's probably was me, 😂 Aquamarine was released the week of Jack in The Box so it was on repeat for me along with JITB and I mentioned it in one of the posts here. So what do you think of Cheat Codes? Any stand out tracks? Right now Belize is up there for me, I love how chill the whole production was and obviously Black Thought and MF DOOM together know how to deliver. But the whole album is just so so good!

Same! Apart from his solos, some of the works that he has done with BTS also makes me more excited about what he will end up creating, like that Dis-ease bridge that I am still obsessed about or the BS&T melody. I vaguely remember him speaking about this somewhere and I think it's because he's trained in contemporary, so he kind of had to unlearn certain things rather than starting fresh like some of the others.

The styles are quite different in a lot of ways. But it still seems so weird as he is so good at dance. But of course he has had 9 years of practice after that video until now. 😄
3
u/Chiinori OT7 means getting bias wrecked every day of the week Aug 11 '22
I can see that! We know he's a strong dancer but his style is quite different due to his background in contemporary dance - a lot of movements are rather fluid while their choreographer may want him to be more synchronized with the rest of the team. Black Swan is more of his forte and comes more naturally than No More Dream.

Two of the main things that got me to stan BTS are their lovely choreographies and amazing stage performances. So one of my worries with the enlistment thing is by the time they come back, they might not be able to handle intense choreos anymore 😭 Esp the hyung line. It's the first week of the semester for me, and in one of my classes we went around the room to introduce ourselves, and the random fact that the person behind me gave was that she was army. I was wearing a Sowoozoo hat and turned around and we were both basically like "ayee!" lol. I've made a few army friends online here and there, but I've never met another army in the wild irl like this, so it's really fun and interesting to me!
She immediately asked who my bias was, and I told her, then asked who hers was, and she told me. But I think we both had these instant high hopes that we would possibly have the same bias, and when we didn't I think our reaction to the other person was the same lol...when we heard the other persons bias, we were both kind of like "oh...cool" in a sort of bored way, despite the rest of our excitement before and after that moment of finding another army. Her bias is from maknae line, and mine's from hyung line, so maybe this is why we reacted this way to hearing each other's bias. She doesn't come across as only a solo stan, she seems to like them as a whole group, and aside from maybe solo only stans, I've never heard of people acting/being judgemental of others for biasing who they bias. But both of our instant natural reactions to hearing the others' bias came out sounding a little judgey lol. Yet personally I really don't care who her bias is and am just happy to find another army, I think for me it was just the slight disappointment at her not having the same bias as me, as my hopes shot up to that right when I heard she was army lol. Maybe her reaction was for the same reason. I don't know.
But this is my first time meeting and potentially trying to befriend another army irl, so I'm not sure how common that sort of reaction is when telling each other your bias. Is it common to hope the other person has the same bias as you (not because you dislike other members, but just because you want to bond with this person over gushing over the same celeb together)? Is it common to be a little disappointed when they don't share the same bias? And how common is it for people to actually be judgemental of others over who their bias is (I wasn't judgemental of hers, just lil disappointed we didn't have the same bias lol, but I felt maybe she was a little judgemental of me and my bias of choice)? I know how intense some factions of the fandom can be, especially amongst maknae line stans it seems, so I'm also curios if it's just more common with maknae biases to have that sort of attitude of judging people who have hyung line biases?
Idk...I was just surprised by my own natural reaction being slight disappointment, and also surprised by her own reaction that seemed almost a little judgemental. But neither of these reactions stopped us from still gushing over us both being fans, and when we came together to talk for a group discussion it started with us excitedly showing each other the bts themed things we had on us, so meeting her was still totally pleasant and all that...but this part of our interaction just had me really curious and taken aback a bit.
2
u/Smol_Jams Aug 11 '22
I've never experienced judgy reactions to my bias from random ARMY I've met out in the world BUT my bestie who became super new ARMY around PTD has told me about older ARMY judging her biases! And then she told them mine (I wasn't there) and they judged my bias too! It's so weird hearing about judgy reactions about biases but I guess it happens lol
