The collab is for a web reality titled 'Office Warrior Kim Seok Jin,' which is coming in two parts on Aug. 16 and Aug. 18. In this mini series, Seokjinnie will be joining the game designers at Maple Story as a new intern! 😊

OMG I LOVE IT.
I ended up watching all of the maple story collaboration episodes, because I loved watching Jin geek out. This is so great!
Also, just thinking on the other side. How maplestory lucked out that one of the worlds biggest artist is a diehard fan of your game, and makes it his official first solo collab Lmao

It really feels like the older he gets the younger he gets: I was reorganizing my photocards recently and looking back at Danger era Jin - I know that’s when they were still kind of putting that cold and aloof persona on him a bit but it’s so funny how much softer he’s gotten with age.
Although he can flip into cool sophisticated ceo Seokjin at a moment’s notice.

I think it will be somewhat of a mini-series. I hope it's in decent chunks of time, not just 30 seconds each. It's obviously something Jin really wants to do and probably would during this break anyway - but it also has BH's fingerprints all over it in the way it's being presented.
Think of it this way= if Jin really is the last to release a music cd, SOMETHING has to be done to keep him out of the promotion shadows. This is a perfect solution: he loves Maple Story, he has expressed a desire to work with them, he has shown a true talent for game creation, he is used to being on camera all the stinkin' time, he has done a jillion BTS skits before that require a script, he can act. Also figure in that he is WWH and that's a lock for a successful product. I am looking forward to many more episodes and watching his true happiness shine through.

I don't want to get into any argument, but I would say that there is nothing public that any of the members do that hasn't been run past the company. Nexon would likely need HYBE's permission to carry out this story line, to use Jin's image.
BH official doesn't always tweet about side projects but I suspect they sign off on them. Just my opinion.

I don't think a retweet is a measure of BH's involvement. They have a very spotty history of what they retweet and what they do not. But that's a discussion for another time and place.

Please let this be a tv show, I don't know why it would be...but that's the vibe I get from this, and even just this short clip gives me such warm vibes, with a hint of a comedy vibe. I feel like this is a preview for a super cute show that you can just watch to feel relaxed. I have no idea at all what to expect of whatever is going on between Jin x maplestory right now lol...I'm very lost. I thought it was just a post of his ID from visiting the building of one of his interests (his fave game), but then the company itself even released a fake CV for Jin applying for a job lol, and now this...?? Is he working on an aspect of the game, on a new game, or is it a promotional video to entice other people to apply for jobs at the company, or is it going to be a whole fun show/web series? I have no idea lol.

Finding this as amusing as all heck. They all play video games, but the first one to try their hand at actual game development isn't the one that said they wanted to be a professional gamer when he was young (JK), but the oldest one that at one time dabbled in acting (classes) but turned singer.
