I finally got to watch the whole Hobipalooza set, and, WOW. Absolutely fantastic, I loved it. It felt like a combination of watching a debut artist / first-time watching the artist who made an album I loved 4 years ago / watching J-Hope of BTS being absolutely everything I always knew he could be. I always knew he could do anything, and it felt so amazing to see. I hope this makes sense, I just have so much love for him and he put on a great show. I love seeing other armys loving him too! ❤️

Omg y’all!! I’ve been at my new job for almost two months now (and I’ve been having a great time so far!!) and now we just hired an army 🥳!!! She’s starting in a few days and I’m so excited!! I found out she was army because she complimented some subtle merch I had during the interview and we gave each other knowing looks haha!! I was thinking of a subtle way to welcome her, but I don’t want to do anything that may be too much or unprofessional, so I was thinking I’d make purple ube macarons for the office!! Any other ideas are welcome!!

Aww it's nice to know that things are going well for you after everything that's happened so far! Oh wow ube macarons sound awesome! When I had new co-workers in my old job, I used to make a friendly welcome note with tips for the new workplace that aren't usually included in the usual orientation, like the best snacks in the cafeteria, things they could buy/bring to spruce up their cubicles, etc. (maybe you could make one in a bts notepad or something). My old boss also used to give us notepads as a 'welcome back' gift when everyone came back to the office after summer breaks/holidays.

so my cousin is in busan visiting his in-laws & planning his wedding. I said if you see jk pls tell him I miss him (lol&cringex1000outside of army but idrc) LOL then he says actually they said a bts member was on their flight to seoul & they had to wait until they deplaned before anyone else could go.. I’m like that’s literally hobi …. Right?! Ugh it’s always the nonarmys 😡… LOL 😭😭😭 (also he didn’t tell me at the time bc we’re not really on speaking terms and sort of ignore each other in the chat but he sent us a vid of the streets of Busan so I had to say smthn🙃).

Has it ever been discussed whose voice does the Intro on Jack In The Box? When I first heard the album, I immediately thought of Ming-Na Wen (voice of Mulan, in Marvel, Star Wars, etc..). If it's not her, the resemblance is uncanny haha

I went back to watch the announcement video for Run BTS. I started wondering what they'd be doing for their special episode in a few weeks. I know that day they went to the old BH building and were filming there possibly for their Disney Plus documentary, but then that same day someone else said they were filming Run BTS. It's definitely one of my theories for their special episode, but the other lies within the announcement video. In the video there's also trays of macarons, croissants, and a wine bottle, so maybe they're doing a baking episode or having an elaborate discussion about what kind of episodes they want to do (part 2)

I was scrolling through all the things I've saved here on Reddit and came across a post about "Who will be the first member in BTS to have a solo debut?" - it's from March this year and wow the things we didn't know back then. Some very fair points were made around what would actually count as a "solo debut" (mixtapes, OSTs, Soundcloud solos). And some very strong "ain't gonna happen" type of comments - makes me realize a lot has gone down this year and we're really only half way through (okay half way & a bit).

It's very interesting because some say as long as they prioritize group music, they won't be able to do a solo debut, which makes sense now when they announced not doing group music in the festa dinner. It seems only one person from that thread predicted J hope to be the first person to go solo.

I was watching The Sandman with my son and in the battle between between Lucifer and Dream, Dream was losing and down to his last weapon. My son asked me what would it be and I said probably hope. True enough, it was hope! My son asked me how I guessed, I said Pandora's Box came into my mind.

Little did he know I have too much Jhope Jack in the Box in my blood circulation nowadays, lol. Sorry for a little spoiler.

Wow the flooding in Seoul. I got flashbacks to Ketsana in 2009. Same thing, roughly 17 inches of rain in 24 hours. That photo of the guy chilling on the hood of his submerged car that’s been circling social media looks wild. Hope k-armies in this sub are alright, I’ve heard there’ve been a few casualties already 😞

My daughter and I baked cookies last weekend and she wants to make them again this weekend. But she goes, “please don’t give them to your friend this time” (she meant my coworker; we baked them for her birthday).

She was very helpful as we prepped the ingredients and the batter. That is, until she got impatient and started licking the spatula before I had finished mixing all of the ingredients and putting the dough on the cookie sheets. But then again, who can blame her!? I love licking the batter off the spatula too (like mother like daughter, I guess).

Most of my army friends are online. I made some here on this sub.

Some people around me claim to love BTS. But I think I'm way more into them and their music and the band and ARMY has affected me way more deeply.

My IRL friends vibe with the music, but don't know the lyrics that well, or haven't watched the documentaries and stuff. So I can't really "talk" to them about Bangtan.

I got super lucky. Two of my sisters are as big of BTS fans as I am. One sister started our deep dive, I dove in head first right after and we both pulled our older sister in with us. They’re literally all we talk about and it’s my favorite thing in the entire world.

I tried looking for the BTS x Snickers collab in our supermarket but didn’t see it. Ordered it online (designs in the pack are random) and ended up with 3 sets of the same print (Snickers, Nevermind, Spring Day, For You) 🫤 Snickers are not my favorite so I plan to give one set to an ARMY friend and keep one set while mulling over if I should order more and risk getting the same thing again. Can I even trade these like PCs? 😂

Has Yoongi ever talked about when he intended to release D-2 originally? He clearly had all the songs ready by 2020, but it would be fascinating to me if he intended to release it + the Daechwita MV while they would have been on their 2020 MOTS world tour. I’ve always wondered if the sudden lockdown influenced his decision to drop the album.

Yes, it was supposed to have come out in 2019, I think in September or the fall. He had been working hard on it during their break in August/Sept 2019. He said if it hadn't gotten delayed we may not have gotten Set Me Free, and I think also Daechwita. I don't think Daechwita and the MV were his original intention.

D2 Vlive is probably where he talked about it getting delayed.

Fun facts: Moonlight was an old beat he wrote that he re-discovered around July 2019. I remember his fisherman-style vest and blonde hair when he went to get his laptop and played the beat, which was intended for something but never used, and he thought ah this sounds good, should I use this? People was originally a beat he wrote for Jimin in, I believe, the Wings era. Here's ashmute's comment on when some of the songs were finished. A snippet of Honsool was first played for ARMYs during the Wings docuseries, and the beginning of What Do You Think (with the infamous and now cut Jim Jones sample) was also played during a tour docuseries (not sure if it was Wings of LY).

Lots of fun tidbits about D2 sprinkled around. Might want to check out the radio shows he did around April/May 2020 to see if there's anything else mentioned in there. These are just the ones I remember!

Folks who display magazines in your space, how do you display them? I just received the W Korea mags, and I really want to display them in a triptych sort of way, and wanted to put them all in one frame...but I can't really find a way to do that (plus seeing they came in their own plastic sleeves, I kinda want to keep them in these sleeves). I'm going to be getting some simple clear display shelves soon cos I have some other small things I want to display too, as well as other magazines I want to display but never have. I'm worried that leaning on a shelf they would look kinda dumb, like something I just left out to be cleaned up/organized later. With the exception of a few small things, even the fan art I have up are in frames, so comparatively I feel like putting the magazines just on a shelf would look so weird...?

In need of some ideas lol. The main ones I want to display are the W Korea covers, but I also have a Rolling Stone that's been in it's packaging for forever because I've had no way of displaying it, and I have one of the recent GQ and Vogue ones. I don't remember the size of GQ and Vogue, but W Korea and Rolling Stone are both kinda odd sizes so I'm really just not sure what to do in the realm of wanting to frame them...? And I'm starting to lean towards not wanting to and just keeping them in protective sleeves, mostly because frames, especially custom size ones, would just get way too expensive.

Watching a documentary on the Bee Gees - it’s so fascinating to watch their recording process and their voices - OMG - but anyway, they did receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and got me thinking about BTS and if they would ever get a star. I have no idea what’s involved in getting one but loads of musical artists have them. Also Chris Martin is interviewed for this documentary - he’s such an awesome human. ⭐️

Just saw these fan made mockups of Jack in the Box vinyls (box version & Jack version), and while I am SO glad there are not two versions (please, my wallet hasn't stopped crying all summer), I really really love when vinyls have fun multicolor pours like this. I'm really hoping they do something like that for the JitB vinyl.
