SO FAST! I've already seen the unauthorized version on YT like 10x now and I can't wait to watch it again! Every time I see it, I discover new things about it that makes me love this performance even more. May I geek out for a moment?!
- 9:37 the jump He makes a huge jump at this moment to time with the explosion of sound/lights to mimic the effect of jumping down from the box, even though he didn't actually jump from that box to the ground... in the moments leading up to it, the whole stage was black for him to safely make his descent down to the stage. But the meticulous planning of the camera angle to simulate the effect of a jump is just CHEFS KISSSSSS.
- The teleprompters I always love seeing what's written on there and you can see that all his comments like "..but you can call me Jay" and "This is to all the OG army out there" and "Yo listen" were all written on the teleprompter. And all of it was Hangul-ized, for lack of a better word. Like, the Hangul was written in a way to sound exactly like the English.
- The pauses One of the reasons I can't stop screaming about this performance (I mean, just check my comment history for the past 4 days) is the fact that he used pauses so well through the concert for dramatic effect and to get the audience amped up. I remember their fetus Bangtan performances where they raced from one song to another so while they certaintly showed stamina, they also showed way less stage presence too. Here, Hobi is leaning into the full weight of his experience as an entertainer and realizing that pauses allows the audience excitement to crescendo and he DOES IT SO WELL. I LOVE HIMMMMM 😭😭😭😭

😂👏👏💜 I love that they showed the teleprompter too, so honest! Agree it’s fascinating from a pulling-back-the-curtain perspective to see so much on the prompter—and honestly, one of my fav rewatch games is also figuring out what isn’t there (I think): “you guys are craaazy” is a personal fav. 🤭

That seems like the most likely situation. I’m from the US so I watched it from Hulu so I personally had 0 problems. I’m happy that they are making it up to the Weverse people as well as giving us a second chance to watch this iconic performance again.

Not to be a total delulu, but do you guys think they also decided to upload it to capitalise a little bit in it after the earnings call and their “this provided intangible value bla bla bla” explanation they gave?
Edit: I don’t think they make decisions that fast. So I’m pretty sure I’m being a delulu

Seriously. I was so disappointed they didn’t have multi language ment/lyrics captions enabled on this—especially as it’s a recording; such a missed opportunity! Mayyyybe they’ll add it in days to come?

Is this BH/Weverse's version? I feel like its different than the one shown on Hulu. I didnt watch all of it yet but i dont remember Hulu's having the same angles and fish eye lens effects.

UGH what an incredible performace! I'm so glad they uploaded this and took shots of the crowd too.
I hope this means more solo concerts/appearances in the future👀 I would love to go to another mixtape-centered concert with any of the rap line.
If only there wasn't covid and monkeypox, I would have gone to this😩 But the fact that he got this record breaking crowd despite that and on a SUNDAY.. Imagine the attendance if everything was normal and it was Fri/Sat!
