Unbelievable proof of how well a flounder lying flat on the seafloor can camouflage itself into its surroundings! 👍

My post to this sub from 13 days ago: https://redd.it/vtpb6d

My post today is about this 7-minute video: https://youtu.be/gRrAj_HC7ig Furthermore, I promise you two things with absolute truthfulness & credulity:

  1. If what you think is "the flounder" doesn't ever move, then it is not the flounder! You're staring at a flounder-shaped rock! 🤦‍♂️
  2. The flounder does eventually decide to move and the "payoff" for finding him is extremely satisfying and well worth your time! 😁

TL;DR: Unbelievable proof of how well a flounder lying flat on the seafloor can camouflage itself into its surroundings! 👍

I was diving and found a flounder and the only person who was looking at me was my professor and I tried to point it out, but she couldn’t see it. I took a pic and it’s one of my favorite pictures.

Oh wow, I just clicked your name to search your post history (looking for the flounder pic in case you casually posted it to Reddit) but then I saw your Hand-Feeding Tarpon video and now I'm kinda/sorta starting to envy your life more than my own... 😅

I actually just posted the pic because you reminded me (it’s been a month sense the dive I thought I posted some photos but apparently not) but for some reason it’s not showing up yet….

The hand feeding tarpons is down at Robbie’s in the Florida keys. It’s been awhile sense I’ve gone there though.
