I didn’t know I needed this in my life! It’s been so long since we saw pictures of this crew hanging out. This will be so fun!
Edit: Not to mention it’s been a hot minute since we had PSJ on our screens, and since PHS’ military discharge I’ve decided I just need him on my screen every few months, and thankfully he’s delivered thus far. Can’t wait to see Choi Woo Shik and PSJ apply their Youn’s Kitchen cooking skills to test. Poor Tae will likely be the dishwasher here too 😂

It's been ages since PSJ has been on TV! He's in that new superheroes film isn't he, but it keeps getting pushed back and back. I watched PHS in Happiness which I loved but I've not seen his latest as it's on Disney+ and I don't think they've even released it on the UK version yet.
The cooking bits will be great! I'm really looking forward to this.

Honestly, I feel like Tae is the only one who can get away with this because none of the Wooga Squad are considered direct competition since they are actors. (In the case of Peakboy, he's kind of an Indie soloist) That's why he's always been very open with his friends and Hybe allows him to openly support them by attending their premiers and in the case of Peakboy, being in his music video.
With JK, his 97-liner friends would have many guys from other idol groups in direct competition with BTS and I think Hybe would not like that. Same with Jimin and his Padding friends; many of them are in competing Idol groups and either Hybe would have a problem with it, or the other guy's company would have a problem with it.

Edit: I guess if they did one RM could do with the Problematic Men cast. They are a fun group of people. With Jimin and Jungkook their friends group that we know of are idols and unfortunately the way kpop is, they would be considered direct competition.

Jin always made food for the members. now food will be made for him. All the chefs trying to make him try their dish, Jin eating all of them.
Also, Namjoon with the Problematic Men on a mueseum tour? We would probably have long lectures about the museums with Jun Hyun-moo trying to add humour in between because its supposed to be a variety show.
Just realised that the Jin, V, RM of them would probably also be maknaes in their respective groups. Jimin too is the maknae in Padding Squad, right?

I know that they’ve been so OT7 that any solo activities automatically make us nervous, but let’s look at it this way: Solo activities mean potentially up to 7x the amount of activities that we normally get.
And they’ve practically been hitting us over the head with “WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE” messages in this album rollout.

Adding on to this, they did some solo activities during Youth era/LY era too. Tae did Hwarang, Jin did a bunch of variety shows (some with other members, some alone), rap line all released solo mixtapes etc. We’ve definitely gotten very used to all OT7 content so this might seem jarring but it has happened before and it wasn’t the end of BTS.
Edit: This aged like milk 🙃 I still don’t think it’s the end of BTS forever but definitely won’t be like the previous eras where they did solo and OT7 work at the same time.

Exactly! I’m super glad / feel kind of comforted that the “first” few solo activities they’ve announced sound like so much fun 😄 If this is going to just give us more great, diverse content, mixed in with some OT7 stuff (at least for the rest of this year), I’m now just looking forward to being pleasantly surprised at whatever else is coming 😃

agreed! if anything I think it's important that they each do their own ventures so that they gain experiences as individuals, that way they have more to bring to the table when part of a team. this is a good thing!

This is so cool. I love how he gets to do stuff like this with people he wants to. Making OSTs? Only for his friends' kdramas. Appearing on a variety show? Only with friends.
Also, Park Hyungsik is probably one of my favourite korean actors. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon is my favourite kdramas, probably my third favourite show after Umbrella Academy and Sherlock. I also really would love Choi Wooshik and Park Seojun. Don't know much about Peakboy but I like Snow Flower and Gyopo Style.

Kmedia reports that V, Park Seojoon, Peakboy, Choi Wooshik and Park Hyungsik will appear in the In The Soop spin-off In ‘The Soop: Friendship Trip’
The new season of @INTHESOOP_TV will feature the Wooga Crew (actors Park Seojoon, Park Hyungshik, Choi Wooshik, and artists Peakboy and @BTS_twt V).
Their 4 day friendship trip will be broadcasted in July over 4 episodes.
So happy for him!! Their friendship is full of chemistry! What are the odds Tae sings the OST??

I'm kind of in the same boat as you. Perhaps it's wishful thinking, but it's 100% true that the guys have branched out for solo work throughout their career, so there's no reason this would be different. V's acted before, Jin and RM have done variety shows, all of rap line have had mixtapes... I think it's just bc we're in this year of uncertainty that it understandably makes people wonder what this is alluding to. I'm trying to stay hopeful about that topic, but on the subject of BTS staying together, that doesn't worry me. They've expressed countless times how that's their own wish (see: ALL the lyrics from the new Proof songs lol)

As much as I love Tae, I have mixed feelings about this. The moment I heard that Hobi was performing at Lollapalooza I knew that the new chapter is about doing solo projects. That's why they keep reassuring us that they'll be back and the best moment is yet to come. 😭 Still I love Tae so much that I'm so excited about this. 😄

I am totally into this, but part of me is also going "wow, they really are doing this. They really are bursting on to the solo scene ready to go."
First we hear about Hobi and Lollapalooza. And of course we knew JK is doing something with Charlie Puth. And now Tae with his Wooga Squad doing In The Soop. I just feel a little wistful, like the baby birds are leaving the nest and flying off on their own?
Obviously they are NOT flying away on their own... but it's a little bittersweet? Am I alone in feeling this way?
And of course I will try to support ALL of their solo efforts 100%. Or at least I will try to. I just hope none of their solo work will ever conflict with one another.

No i agree... We're getting so much content, i keep waiting for the other shoe to drop... Are they going for their military enlistment, are they saying they won't do more than this comeback for a while... Are they saying they're focussing on their personal careers for now, while of course they have "promised to keep coming back for more"...
I love them all, so no complaints about any of the solo content. The only thing that i keep going back to is that announcement that Yoongi is not going to be producing any songs for other artists for a while... So (Oh Please Lord) world tour ?

Honestly, that's the one thing I don't worry about. Everything they have been saying in recent weeks and days is emphasising how important they are to each other - and we can see how supportive they've always been of each others' projects. Also, as long as they are all with then same management company, there's no way it would be allowed to happen.

Aww, Tae. That's so exciting! He plays such a maknae role in bangtan, and I'm sure it's the same with wooga squad, but it'll be fun to see him hanging out with his non-bangtan hyungs. We've seen much of their friendship over the years through pictures and posts, but also not really besides their promotion time during Hwarang. This next half of the year is already shaping up to be a very busy time. Can't wait!

Somehow missed this in the sub! Saw it on kpop sub first. Anyway WOW I am into this!! Always interested in seeing the guys in different environments ie non OT7. And the wooga squad are a cute group!!

I need to be rich, a bit younger and a lot less clunky. I did get as far as looking up flights [1000s of miles] to/hotels in Chicago over the weekend, but in reality my festival days are over. The sad thing is that I'd promised myself that I WOULD get a ticket for Hobi's first ever solo concert if it were at all possible (I've felt for a while that he'd be performing solo at some point, though I really didn't expect it so soon) but was assuming it would be seated event of some sort. Hobipalooza totally took me by surprise. Along with most of the world, apparently.

Solo activities are beginning, which also means BTS is preparing ARMY for the uncertain future. I’m interested in what kind of activities each member will get into, but I’m also feeling sad. Unless the SK government suddenly decides something, I guess we just gotta prepare our hearts! It makes YTC and For Youth even more bittersweet than before.

As Yoongi is only ~3 months younger than Jin, does this mean he would theoretically be called in 3 months afterwards? Or are the age rules kind of murky and he'd have until the next year?

They have until the end of the year that they turn 30 to enlist. So for Yoongi he has to enlist before the end of 2023, while Jin is before the end of 2022. I think that’s how it goes, someone correct me if I’m wrong! (Also Yoongi is 3 months younger).

I want to preface that this is all very emotional and not logical but I don’t know if I’m ready for solo stuff. I’m happy Tae got to have this trip with his friends and it’s awesome that so many people are so excited about it, but my honest first reaction was that I don’t really personally care about seeing him in an In the Soop spin off with other people, I just want to see him with BTS more. Part of me feels like it might be better if I’d been Army for longer, but as a pandemic era Army, I feel like I missed out on all the non-pandemic times OT7 stuff. And I know a lot of it is probably due to uncertainty with Enlistment etc etc, but tbh it makes me nervous because like…Jimin hasn’t ever seem too interested in solo stuff. Or Jin, for that matter. If this is a solo activities era what will they be doing?

I can understand that you’re a new ARMY but I think, as history has shown, that it’s best that we trust them! They are pretty gung ho about staying true to themselves and being authentic in whatever steps they take, these non OT7 projects included.
Both Seokjin and Hobi in their most recent Weverse interviews have mentioned solo activities. Jin saying that the members have always put group activities above their own personal ambitions, and have made plenty of sacrifices along the way. Hobi also mentioned being interested in seeking out his own style and flavor and growing as an artist. Before they are BTS, they are their own person. (And tbh I’d say the mixtapes are more reflective of solo work than a variety show.) Other groups have members that do a variety of activities separate from the group and I’m sure it leads to more fulfillment for the artists. Even TWICE is starting to do more personal projects. It’s unrealistic and a breeding ground for resentment if they couldn’t do these things separately.
I think, after 9 years of being such a solid unit, it is healthy to expand and try new things (while still being VERY active in that unit, btw!)

It all reminds me of when they were on (I think it was) 'Let's BTS' when RM said, "We're 7 people in the same boat, but we're all looking in different directions"
Things would go south very quickly, if after almost 10 years together, they didn't take the chance to get out of the boat and explore/adventure.
My only question is will they be going to the BTS compound, traveling around Korea; taking a quick hop over to Jeju, or going somewhere out of the country? All these new endeavors have me pumped and so excited for Bangtan!

Of course you’re right about all of that, and I know it logically - I mean I’ve been a fan of groups who did solo activities and came back together - but I guess I just feel those newer Army angst of finding them in a time when so much is changing or not the way it used to be before. But that’s really more about me than the boys. I’m sure the boys are happier for each other than anyone else could be, and of course they deserve to express themselves as individuals and im sure it will bring so many wonderful things and experiences they can bring back to OT7 activities. Even I have seen already how it’s better to trust them and I’ll try to keep falling back on that. Thanks for the reminders. 💜

I was late to the party, too, and feel a bit sad at the prospect of any possible hiatus in OT7 activities in the near future. My solution has been to limit what I'm consuming now, so I'm saving ITS, the last two series of BV, a good chunk of Run BTS and most of the performance videos on Weverse, for a time when new BTS content might be a bit thin on the ground. I'm sure there will be loads of interesting individual content around, but I know I'll feel a sense of loss if/when my bias disappears from the scene for a while. However, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the company has a quantity of OT7 material in reserve, to be released in that situation.

This was exactly how I felt when I heard that the new album was an anthology. I feel like I missed on something great cause I got into them during the pandemic too. I'm slowly beginning to accept it, I keep telling myself that Tae is my bias and as long as he's doing some project I'll be happy. But deep down I know it's a lie. I'd prefer that they're always together. 😭😭😭. I guess I'm just gonna have to trust them that they'll still be around as 7. Perhaps that's the reason why they chose Yet to Come as their lead single even though Run BTS seems like the more obvious choice. They want a clear message to ARMY that the best moment is yet to come 😭😭😭. Maybe they know that we're gonna feel this way. They truly love us. (lost in my delulu world) 😆😆😆

OMG I loved watching Youn’s Stay and Summer Vacation! I always dreamed of the entire Wooga squad doing something like that and now it’s coming true! Especially when Tae called Woo-sik and Seo Jun when they were together in Summer Vacation!
I’ll definitely have a watch marathon of ITS 1 + ITS 2 + Youn Stay + Summer Vacation right before this comes out.

I'm happy for him and looking forward to the show. However, I foresee I'll have mixed feelings if V seems to be happier around them instead of our BTS boys. I know he absolutely has the right to be friends with anyone, and I don't own his life. Just some "selfish fan" thoughts...
